  1. You can still find one within your budget. David's Bridal had some under $100! check them out!
  2. Zappos.com. It's USA but if you liked one ship it to a mail place in Michigan. I almost did this. Also try sears - look online - they have some nice cocktail dresses. Also Laura has a more formal section too. Hmmmm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I felt similar until I got there and put them on. I felt like a princess I will still realistic though and although my budget was $1300. I spent $500 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. There are a lot on here to give you ideas, but you can get a lot of different templates thru microsoft word as well to guide you!
  5. It might be easier to not purchase since you aren't in your home town. I guess they could ship it to your house, but might be easier to buy at home if you have the stores, more selection. I obviously don't know your situation but throwing out some ideas if you feel more need to justify your decision hehehehe
  6. Haha yes men! But it can be as easy as 'can you confirm the spelling of your name for me?' For ones you can't find on Facebook. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I agree with @@kmk2016. I found out the names of everyone who was in a relationship. Whether thru Facebook, asking around, or flat out asking the other person's spouse. I had to do that anyways because I also wanted to make sure I had the correct spelling of everyone's names. If you really don't know and don't want to ask - Mr and Mrs Smith is totally ok too! Probably just easier to ask and get it now as you will need to know them time and time over thru the whole process. When my friends were clearly single I put 'and guest' because what else can you do? lol. I wanted them to know they were more than welcome to bring someone with them.
  8. You nailed it there - you need to stop trying to please everyone. Trust me, YOU CAN'T!!!!! (In the beginning when I was doing more of that - I would run in the direction of one suggestion only for that person to RSVP no anyways - grrrr - so I stopped that months back!) I think you need to go with your heart on what you want for your wedding and accept that some people won't come for the stupidest of reasons, even people very close to you. If they want to be there, they could go!
  9. All that is included is the white cover that goes over the chairs. If you want the sashes you can pay for them and pick your color. They are about $2.95 canadian per chair. I am pretty sure you could bring your own but I would rather not haul anything else there with me. You can also change the color of the fabric on the 'alter' but I am unsure of the price without checking my list because that's not something I am done. If you want tiffany chairs they cost more. I think they are included in one of the higher up packages. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't wait to hear all about it. Congrats!
  10. I agree. The AHR isn't your wedding day and I think I'd feel awkward. If I do have one I'd probably just wear a nice dress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Ohhh like the idea of a Von voyage party. Was trying to have a party and it not be a shower. Thanks!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yes you will lol. I don't have my kids last names and while it's generally a non problem it can be a huge one -- like traveling across the border! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm Shocked there aren't more Vegas brides on here. Vegas is still my first choice hehe but I'm super excited with Mexico and to Honeymoon in Vegas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. None. We picked a day in a week that we could get a decent price point for our guests. Romantic hey? We had considered May 4 as it's out first date anniversary and my late mothers birthday but decided we wanted to travel in the dead of winter which may is not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yup! All our family has travel anyways (we are Ontario, Alberta and BC) and I love to travel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Me too and many others lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I booked 9 months in advance and my flight got changed - well cancelled, then changed to another day! Our flight from Calgary, AB to Cancun is close to 6 hours non stop!
  18. I think if you have sensed they would be hurt, then they probably have no issues paying for their trip and the dress. I decided not to ask anyone to be in my bridal party until they had RSVP because I wanted noone to feel pressure. For the wedding I helped with the cost of the dress ($40 each) but they all didn't care and thought I was silly. I got their sandals and wedding jewelry as a part of their gifts. So the $120 for the dress and the cost of the trip is all it cost my gals.
  19. My second idea was doing a photo mat they sign and after you frame it with your wedding picture. I read a post on here that someone got drunk and left a very rude comment that she can't cover up and now it's ruined. So that made me feel better I didn't go that route. I am super stoked about the postcards, and yes you could make them on Vistaprint, but.... just think you could get ones from your destination with have more meaning AND they should be a lot cheaper
  20. I think it depends how you envision your wedding day! 25-30 people is still quite a few and having a poolside reception/dance would be fun! With 5 people maybe not so much I am having my ceremony on the private beach, and there is an outdoor palapa (hut) to have our reception and dance in. I am really looking forward to it but that's me, I couldn't imagine my wedding otherwise. Think about what you want and go from there
  21. I think a good amount of people on this board (recently) bought the $2 tumblers from Dollarama. I think the quality is just fine, but when buying them make sure you look for ones already cracked. I got pretty lucky today and was able to find all 45 of mine in 2 stores.
  22. On my website, mywedding.com, I got to pick the amount of people they could RSVP for. I chose 2 and I made a comment to include the children in the comments section. The reason I did this was because my fiance has one cousin who felt her invite meant she could invite anyone she wanted in her family. We have been pretty easygoing with it. Everyone got (and guest) on their invite, but that doesn't mean 15 guests lol. In the end it worked well.
