I didn't get a room upgrade thru ACV! But our triple and single rooms were calculated per person for numbers towards our every 17 free. So one triple and one single gave us 4 towards the 17. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No it was offered from the get go. At first I said no in May then in July I realized I was an idiot and she went to book it for us. There was only 2 seats left so we got lucky. So I'd look into that ASAP. We managed to get 2 free so that was nice. If it was 11 we would have gotten 3!!! I flew ACV and I got some great perks. I got every 17'person free in a credit back to us (this number changes as I've seen it as low as every 11 free). I got a free upgrade to first class as the bride and groom and this had HUGE perks in and off itself. My guests had 90 Days to put down their deposits and I believe they where $200 each. But it's been awhile. I listed it all in my planning thread. There may have been more but it's been a year almost. We did not get a price drop guarantee but the group price was so good that it was always the lowest listed. We got the 15 rooms / 30 seats but when we went over it they honored the same price. If you aren't getting any perks you need to call and demand some hehe! And with the first class upgrade it was first come first serve so don't waste time On that as we barely got a seat. I wasn't told I could hang my dress but I did once I got on. They don't offer - well my flight attendant didn't - so ask or just do it yourself lol. CR will be awesome! I totally feel you on the non AI. Shawn's more a 'back packer' so doing Merida and such was a compromise. I'd love to go your Asia or Europe or wherever but with kids you can appreciate that struggle. We can generally get a week but it's tough to do those that quickly. Well unless they come but we'd have to save for awhile lol. That's my advice to you ladies - do some of those bigger ones before kids. Hahaha about his uncle! Wonderful start to your review I even wrote about the Cancun airport in my review. It was madness when we were there. Lined up almost on to the tarmac the building was so full. I feel you sister. Was super hard for a couple people in our group as well. Sounds like your resort was perfect. I'm glad you loved it and that everything was exactly as you'd hoped for. Except maybe the weather. Erin, you are doing great!!! Thanks for the check in. Good luck next week - you have a plan and that will make it a lot easier. I was up last weekend due to Halloween and a date night with Shawn.... but as of today I am down again, so hopefully I will get a loss this week and hit the 10lbs loss mark!!!! I have only worked out once this week - I was going to go today and did Stats instead (my final is on Saturday).. I hope to do a dance class tomorrow, then maybe weights on Sunday.... I really need to get back into a better exercise groove, but my eating has been 95-99% on. My girlfriend who knows my struggles and the weight I gained told me yesterday she can tell I have lost 9 lbs so that help fantastic. Keep it up ladies, with the season we are in - and the celebrations soon upon us - we can keep it up and get thru it together!!!

I just wanna say good luck with your search. I know it is frustrating, probably the hardest part is picking a resort! I would suggest that maybe you call around to find another TA who is willing to help? maybe one who specializes in destination weddings? You can actually find ones who are GI certified (I believe it's called) who have special relationships with brands of resorts to get you even better deals! That said, our resort had a fantastic lazy river, but it's in Mexico I am totally sure there are others. We have decided we want to move to paradise and build our own little town of lazy rivers, which a small lazy river beside it with flowing coronas for us to drink hahaha!!! We are nerdy!

@@kcole123 we upgraded to the level at our Melia resort in Cuba for our one year. Looks fantastic and is brand new to this hotel so excited to see what it's like. At another melia it was concierge service and we felt like royalty but by the sounds of it this will be way better. Did you have a different wrist band? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with @ I also had my fair share of let downs and honestly I think it's just par for the course. We only had 9 months to plan and we still got all the 'excuses' so with more than a year out I can only imagine. I know how stressful it is with group bookings and hotel perks. Then wanting to know your budget and plan favors. What we did was have our group booking deadline then had a second deadline for those who just couldn't commit that quick. We made it about 2 months before the wedding. At that point though I kinda knew who would probably make it and who would not. I over bought my favors by 5 just in case. That said you have more time and could make your second deadline earlier than 2 months out. This wasn't advertised it was given to the people who came to us and said 'we need more time'. Please don't let It hurt you and offend you, although hard. As I said above it just seems par for the course. I totally understand. Our day passes kinda sucked. So when the groomsmen needed a wedding pass so he could be on site long enough we did pay as it included the dinner and I couldn't imagine making him pay for the dinner at our wedding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
