    Yes Calgary has a Chinatown, it is downtown!! Never thought of that. Thanks for the idea. Oriental Trading is still much cheaper than $0.79 but if the quality is good, it may be worth it. Remember when we were talking about who gets a fan? ie - only females, not males? Well fiance told me he went to a wedding where they had fans and the ushers only handed them out to the women. Just thought I would throw that out there

    I I am glad you got it changed and everyone is working with you. Hopefully the photog comes thru. There are a lot of photogs on this board in the Mayan....good luck!!! I didn't realize Sandos also had a Cancun resort. It looks beautiful.

    We aren't doing it, but I am not sure why! We talked about it and decided that we would like to leave it until I walk in with my dad. We are also non-traditional and this is just what we decided. There are a lot of women on here doing a 'first look'. Totally just preference. A part of me kind of wishes we were doing it, because when he tears up or anyone else for that matter, so will I... I just hope I can control it!!!!

    The balcony falls worries me. My resort had one in January and they were from my home town. When I did a search on it the results somewhat shocked me. That said, I made sure to put on my wedding website not to lean on balconies! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oh ladies I'm so sorry If you are trying to get sandos Eco resort in the Mayan or sandos playacar in the Mayan I think you'll be happy with both.     I ask myself the same question day in and day out, since I got engaged! It's possible your parents may have a change of heart. I don't know. My fiance's dad was very upset over a destination wedding and put his heels in. When he realized we weren't changing our minds and he was the only one being an a$$, they booked.

    I feel so sorry for you. That is really upsetting. I am glad you decided to do what you wanted and didn't cave into them. They will regret it for the rest of their lives, 100%. And what is people's problem with Mexico? more people die in our own countries than in Mexico! I don't think there is any problem walking alone. With a parent is just tradition, but meh to tradition!!! hehe. Good luck. My girlfriend married in Cuba. Her step dad (although he was there since she was VERY young) didn't attend because he wouldn't go to a communist country. Her mother attended though.

    Sorry you are all going thru this! Thankfully I got lucky with my bridesmaids (I did have one sister say no), but the high school drama with 'so called' friends is more than enough for me. I'd be in a looney bin if I had to deal with this too. Sometimes my BMs give an answer of 'whatever you like, all options are good' which drives me nuts as I am indecisive but I understand where they are coming from. I just like firm answers ha!

    I think any of the styles you mentioned work... and dary grey, tan, or even black shoes would match just fine. our guys are wearing black sandals. Or they better - I trust fiance told them. He knows I am particular about them being thong sandals, I made him buy a pair. He hates them LOL

    So who ended up at the Bridal Expo? What did you think? My coworker went and found a dress but she said otherwise it wasn't overly great. She didn't think us DW brides would have found much. She thought it was more vendors (for rentals, planners,etc) and such. Just her thoughts!

    Awesome!!! Love the bridesmaids dresses. We tried one like that and when I look back at the pictures I kinda wish they chose it. Love the color variety. I LOL. I think a bike helmet does sound sexy I considered one but too shy! And no lingerie. There is a thread here I can find for you were a photog answered the question for me -- how to do it when shy and how to prepare etc. Great thread!!! Great TTD!!     I got mine on Amazon. Advantus badge holders. They were cheap for 50. They probably have bigger quantities but I didn't need more. Then just buy the plastic loops as they didn't come with them. The cards just Slide in and can be changed out whenever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Awe Valentine's Day! That's awesome that they will store them for you!! Have a great trip in November and good job on the OOT bags! Edit: I looked into old luggage at thrift stores, maybe it was the thrift store I was in, but Walmart was cheaper!
