  1. This board certainly made my budget expand! I still feel fairly level headed as I splurge on some not on others. Im trying! An elephant though would be hilarious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I used Mexico 2015 instead of our names and wedding date as I am hoping this may persuade them to use them again! If you can't see the pictures it also says ' feet in the sand, drink in my hand' There is also 'to have and to hold and to keep your drink cold' I just saw another one the other day that was catchy. 'Something old, something new, something from us to hold your brew' Haha just saw one that said 'killing my liver while floating the river' Google wedding beer koozie. Tonnes of images. 3. Awesome. If you order can you post your opinion once you receive it. I know Lulu is expensive but it's good quality. I don't have a lot (3 pants, 2 hoodies, etc) but what I do have has lasted a couple years and going strong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This is who I got my BM sets from! They were awesome to work with, customized what I wanted, and I received my package in under 1 week from USA to Canada. Unreal! Presentation was awesome, and you can just give them to the BMs. I love this style and wish I would have gotten myself one, but I already bought my jewelry. https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/dreamdaydesign?ref=l2-shopheader-name I also considered this site. They had some beautiful colors. I just realized this site is a smidge more pricey, and may not work for the $150 budget, but they do give a discount. https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/ForTheMaids
  5. Awesome job lady! Love the jewelry! Very talented. OMG makes me think I need to get moving on my stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have a couple etsy sellers that are great. May be in your price range! I will cut and paste links to their stores when I get home. Like was said above - lots will give a discount. I just got my BM sets and I LOVE them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ps - maybe try department stores too. They have nice stuff that is sometimes on sale. But I can think of 2 etsy sellers you may like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Tin can you may find at bath and body works! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yay! I decided to buy theirs as Michaels were just as expensive and one more thing to pack. But I shall look on eBay (never thought of that) to find a better price! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Haha I drink to much beer. I can gain really easily also. This is my life long battle. I have to be diligent 365 days a year. I still wish I could eat more and maybe after the wedding I'll play around with my numbers. Glad it helped some! Get lots of protein too! I find it fils me better but I prefer carbs I really think it's shock and can't hurt to try to eat more! I also find on days I lift weights (or the day after) my body needs more so I up my calories some. Muscles need fuel to repair!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hey! Honestly I don't feel you are eating enough!!! Especially with those calorie burns your body is probably hanging on to everything! That would explain a stall but probably a gain too. I think for women they say no less than 1200 before a calorie burn. Especially if you are hungry I'd eat more. I weight 160 and I eat 1350 a day Sunday to Thursday. Friday I eat around 1600 and Saturday I don't track and eat whatever I want. My exercise is inconsistent as of late but maybe 1000 cals burned on a good week. I use that to offset my cheat day. So honestly I'd increase your calories. If you are good at not cheating then try upping by 200 a week. So maybe eat 1300 this week and see. Then try 1400 etc. You could probably easily eat 1500 safely to lose if not more. Maybe take what you eat everyday with Herbalife and put it into WW and compare. I have put my MFP calories into WW before and they match closely. Hope that helps!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If I could have a do over id eat more from the get go. I did the 1200 thing and it was hard to come back up (more mentally, not scale related) but long term I couldn't be starving and miserable all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hey! I have lost a lot of weight and have been able to maintain it within 10 lbs (I always gain each summer when I drink too much beer!!!) I use MFP. I have never smoked but I hear a lot of people gain weight when they stop - I was under the impression they replace the smokes with food (they told me this!), but not so in your case so I find it quite odd you keep gaining. If you don't mind me asking, how many calories a day do you eat? how much calories do you burn exercising per day? week? and if you don't mind sharing, how much do you weigh? I just want to get an idea mentally! Because less calories in means you should lose weight, unless you exercise too much for what you are taking in. Or maybe if you are eating WAY too little (but WW is a good program and I am sure you are on target!) HMMMMM I feel your pain, it's frustrating. I gained this summer (12 lbs) and I have been busting my arse to get it off because I didn't want my wedding dress taken out! I hope you aren't offended by my questions. I live this struggle daily, and have for 3 years so I really do want to be able to help you if I can!
  12. orange = gerbaras! That is what I am using for my BM's. At first just orange, but I think a mixture of all the colors is ok for me. I am going for a color smorgasboard I decided HAHA! At first I was just fuchsia, but decided to tie in the dark orange... well now the men are wearing an aqua/turquoise blue, so just going for tropical colors!! lol!!
  13. Yes! I also read thru all the carry on requirements too so I can push those limits. I went and bought a bag (Stella & Dot - so cute) that is massive and is right on the size requirements for carry on. Gotta make the most of it all this trip!
  14. We are also talking about a Sandals resort!! The cream of the crop! Personally I think it's a good price when you factor in everything you get. I am in Canada and our packages work differently (we get airfare, hotel, taxes, and transfers to/from airport included in our price). My guests are paying $1565 for 7 nights in January for a 5*. Personally it's probably more a 4.5* but they advertise as a 5*. I have paid as little as $1400 and as much as $1700 for 7 nights. Location, season, etc. all plays a role. For Jamaica and a Sandals resort, I don't think it's absurd!
  15. hehe, no I think posting as you go is great! I just know that I spent some time going thru the older planning threads and most were done a day or two before they left or after they got back! It never dawned on me to keep posting new items because at first I thought people would only look once and never look again!!!
  16. Hello and congrats. I didn't do STD. I booked my resort in May and deposits to hold their spots were due in July. What I did was send out my invites mid May, then sent reminder emails/texts/calls about 1 and 2 weeks prior to the deadline. What I did for my RSVP date is made it the deposit deadline date. So the travel agent told my guests that deposits were due July 17 so that was also my RSVP date. Sneaky her, the true deadline was Aug 1, so if anyone had troubles, etc. they had a saving grace. We didn't tell anyone that though! So personally, I would probably send your invites out ASAP and make the deadline whatever the date is (early November?) to get the better price. Or if you don't feel you want to push them, make it the absolute deadline in December. I feel people need to feel a push/feel a crunch on time to get them to move, so I would probably make it November. Truth be told, most people needed multiple reminders, and we had the most people book in the last 1-2 days! I have a few guests that are not sure re fiances, so they were given an extension on RSVP (will have to book alone as missed travel agent deadlines) but we only opened this up to people who expressed interest but had concern. We only have 1 couple who spoke to us, so I have some extra stuff for them if they do end up coming, but it will probably be last minute. I wouldn't do this for A LOT of people because your resort needs numbers, your budget needs numbers, and you will need to order gifts, etc. Hope that helps!
  17. I think it is not only a safer bet, but really the cost of an extra suitcase (ours is $25) is much cheaper than shipping anyways! I would look into your airlines regulations. If you need more than you can get (ie, when I go over my max extra bags at $25, they start charging $225), you could ask your friends/family, etc. to help out.
  18. Congrats and welcome! This board has been a life saver for me. Without it, my wedding might be rather boring LOL!
  19. Thanks! I think I'll do a trial to make sure she can duplicate it (seems easy) and if the curls hold. Our spa is pricey but I think it'll be worth it. My resort said my hair is $140 as all brides are the same. Seems unfair! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Awesome, thank you! I will check them out. Maybe I will get an assortment of bright tropical colors as my frames are already in my fuchsia color. Then I will have the vase taken care of incase my resort isn't supplying those with the flowers! Since you have one in person, if you don't mind giving your opinion. All my bouquets are is 3 gerber daisies (larger sized daisies I believe) and greenery. Do you think these boxes will have to big an opening or would they look ok? Thanks
  21. If my budget goes as planned, lol, I will have a mariachi band for the guests cocktail hour while we get pictures. I've considered doing my ceremony 30 mins earlier due to sunset so if it's late starting won't lose for pictures. but also allows me to enjoy them a little too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. How did your luggage tags print out? I finally found something for mine, that fiance and I both like, but importing it into Vistaprint ruins it (like you said)... so I will probably just print at home! I think I have enough to use my vistaprint coupon regardless. I was going to do most myself on my printer, but that coupon made it seem like a great deal. After printing all my invites, I have to assume I must be low on ink LOL I didn't know if I could start my planning thread until I had everything done - but it seems I can do it the way you are as well I could start working on one!
  23. 1 for my kids, 1 for me, 1 for fiance. Then hopefully just 3 for our decor/items, but maybe 4. I think the cups will take a whole suitcase, then possibly my maracas will too, then I have a treasure chest, flower girl pail, picture frames, candle holders, etc. 4 of my suitcases can be 70lbs so I plan to get really crafty with packing!
  24. It looked hot! I can see why people were cutting their clothes off Glad you had a fabulous wedding.
