We sent reminder texts, calls and/or emails 2 and 1 week before our deadline. Most our guests appreciated the reminder. We sent out invites mid May and they had to book by July 17 to get the group rate. It really was a week or two later but that was a secret, just incase we had slow pokes. Most booked in the last few days. I vote you send a reminder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We are wedding date twins! My paperwork is due in 2 weeks, I should get on it Happy planning. It will be here before we know it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi! My resort does the time for us, or that is what I have been led to believe. That being said, if your wedding is at 4pm and you have 6 people, 12pm WILL NOT be enough time! I would assume you are going to take easily 1.5-2 hours (if you have long hair), then you have to factor in time for everyone else. Let's even say if they took 45-1 hour you'd still be cutting it way to close. Also, you should see how many people work in your resort's spa, because there may not be 6, so you may go one by one or in groups of two or what have you. Personally, I wouldn't start any later than 10am, just to be safe. My wedding is at 3pm, and I am thinking if they book me later than 10am I may panic and make them change it lol! That being said, I have never done this before. But from reading reviews, brides sound like they take well over 1 hour. If you had a trial, I would assume your wedding day hair/makeup would be quicker because everyone knows what they are doing/what you want, etc.

I asked my travel agent to update me weekly or longer was ok if no one had booked. Back then we were in contact often anyways as I had a lot of questions. I'm 2 weeks out from final payments being due and I've asked her for the same thing. I haven't heard from her yet although I know people have paid lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When I went searching I couldn't find one. It was discount mugs only that had good prices but their shipping to Canada is unreal. Bubba ships to Canada too and their shipping is lower! I just ended up getting the tumbler mugs from Dollarama. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Everything looks great. What font is that? I really love how it looks and may use it somewhere myself. I know exactly who the other BDW member you are speaking of, I loved her work too! I think the safety net letter is a great idea. I traveled to the USA in August and had a 'non notarized' letter from the kids dad and the border didn't even ask for it, but just in case I plan to have a 'notarized' letter from him as this is a little bit bigger of a deal than a trip to Seattle! lol! What sunglasses are you buying? I bought my kids these pink and orange sunglasses from the dollar store this summer but they were more adult size. I joked about getting the bridal party all a pair for a fun pictures but never did. Still debating doing it. I may start my planning thread this weekend! The kids are with their dad and my fiance is gone, so I have some time.... well probably hahah I plan to spend a lot of time in the mall! ha!

Dress Alterationa Dilemna
calgarybride2015 replied to Mrsktobe's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
First off, picture 1, 2 or 3, you look awesome! But you have kicked some a$$, good work lady! Secondly, I would personally have it altered for how you fit today for two reasons. 1. what happens if you can't make that size and then your dress is too small? not saying you won't get there, but 'what if?' 2. I don't know about you, but I swell A LOT in the tropics so I am already a little worried about this for myself. Maybe allow yourself some wiggle room there. BUT... if you have a corset back doesn't that allow you to change sizes easier? Would that just solve it? Probably not the opinion you wanted but you asked -
Beautiful!!!! Loved it all, and wow what a ceremony area!

Average Dj Price For 4-5 Hrs In Cancun
calgarybride2015 replied to LTR's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
Our resort charges $59 per hour. I'm sure he's just part of the entertainment staff but all reviews, on our thread, seem positive so going for it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
What did everyone pay for their bridemaid's bouquets? I had 3 gerbaras, greenery and white ribbon quoted at approx $22 Canadian each. Perfect! I asked for a requote for 4 gerbaras and the price is now $45. 1 gerbaras made the price jump double?!?!?! The new lady is Kenya and I asked her why but haven't heard back. If that is the case I will stick to the 3 gerbaras! Also, for those who used the spa, do you recommend a hair/makeup trial? I have short hair and have pictures but curious. I think I could do the hair trial, but not sure I want to do both as it's pretty pricey (not much cheaper for the trial!). Am I fairly safe? @@Okotoksbride any thoughts? Thanks ladies.

Omg I'm jealous. I soooo wanted that saying for my labels but didn't see it in her designs so didn't think I could!!! They look great. Everything is super awesome. Great finds lady! If I'm being honest I'd be worried that small of a sash would get lost in the dress with the detailing of your dress. Ie - it wouldn't make a big enough statement to even be worth it. I think your dress is beautiful the way it is. If you wanted bling I'd personally go for a larger one. just my opinion, sometimes I feel bad stating it so please don't be offended. calgarybride2015 replied to futuremrsjimmymac's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
At my resort if they stayed more than 3 nights there was no vendor fee. I've inquired with a few people in my town and got 3 different answers. Some want their trip paid and work is free. Some want their trip and a spouse paid and work is free. Some want a package paid and they pay their own way. Everyone is different, so you'd have to ask around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I never have but have considered my options for paying in Mexico 1. Credit card 2. Debit (limit not high enough for 1 transaction 3. Carrying cash (scary) 4. Taking cash out in Mexico (also scary) We went with visa. I'd ask him what he means about your bank - is it debit? Money order? E transfer? There has to be a way without taking cash with you. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am honestly not a big tv watcher so I have never heard of it. I watch Survivor and Big Brother (lol), but otherwise I have gotten into a few shows that are over (Dexter, Breaking Bad)... What's it about?
