This must be an extreme case??? There are a lot of women on this board each month who travel to Mexico with favors and OOT stuff in checked baggage who don't have this issue. Did she have receipts? They even mention wedding items on Mexico's customs webpage as it's so common to see it happen there. It's really sad and I feel for her but it seems to be an extreme case, I don't know There is no way I can bring 50 cups and maracas and all my decor and fans ON the plane. It's physically impossible. If customs searches you wouldn't they be able to take your carry on items as well? Whenever I've been searched I've been physically present. Did they take them before she got her bags? Our prices are very reasonable! And they all paid their deposit. They made that choice themselves so why continue to complain?!? You had time to decide to pay the deposit then you had time to save to pay final payment, it's not really our problem you didn't take it serious. Sadly it's all Shawn's family. I guess his step mom was on him this weekend saying 'why do you expect us to pay so much?' Shawn said they didn't have to come but I guess his dad hasn't even done his passport yet. I know they haven't paid so we shall see. Then his brother banked on selling his house to pay for theirs. Well they only listed their house last week. Shawn asked if we could front their bill. Ummm no!! I don't need that stress. Cause if they don't sell their house and it sits on my credit card how do we charge the wedding in Mexico? They should have a plan B like their own credit card. Sorry had to get that off my chest. I totally agree! I love my BMs sets so much I have contemplated upgrading my set to something similiar in style, but more bridal (ie pearls). I am also considering giving gifts before we go due to space. Did it work well? any regrets?

Thank you! Are the lanterns lighted or are they more a decoration? I like the look but wondered what most people did as I assume as a decoration (no light) would be much cheaper. Our resort will do basic decor for free but when it starts getting heavy in items they charge a hostess fee which I think was only $50. The men in our wedding are in shorts, which I guess would be considered bermuda shorts. Isn't that just the length of them? or is it considered something else depending where you live?
