  1. Agree 100%. If you want an AHR yourself then I say go for it. When you feel pressured by people who don't want to attend your wedding it bugs me. Lol. As TinkerSofi said before - would you have a second reception if you married in your home town/country for people who couldn't attend that one either? Probably not. Thankfully noone is asking us for one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Nothing is legal till it's filed and once it's filed you need a marriage certificate to have your name changed on documents, accounts, etc. That doesn't happen quickly. My friend said if your ID and passport match no one questions anything. Lots of people don't even change their last name Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I just realized you are getting married on Remembrance Day!
  4. Hindsite I wish I sucked it up and did bubba's. But I do appreciate they are pricier. I think all options work -- it's more what fits your budget Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It's best to ask him what he prefers. Every photographer is different on what they want and what is included. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. BOOO can't find that same one, maybe they updated it, because i found this one... http://www2.sat.gob.mx/BienvenidoaMexico/english/default.htm I found the other site better
  7. I did them because we didn't have many good pictures of us together. Just those iPhone pics when out for the night. But I made sure to get enough pics of us, kids, and family to make it worth it. We only spent $200 though. Don't regret it for a minute. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. You say you don't have your own friendship with her, so in some ways I think that's your answer. But if you are feeling guilty or think it may make things awkward then send a friendly invite. What's more uncomfortable -- having her at your wedding or having her not be invited when the group meets? I personally invited people to my stagette that weren't invited to my wedding. People understand that you don't invite 200 people to a DW you pick the closest friends and family. Most were close co-workers. No one was offended whatsoever., well except my one neighbour. But I moved on from that non sense lol I try to remind myself... Who is special to me. Who do I personally make an effort to see and vice versa. Who do I personally want to share my week and special day with. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yup I can think of 4 or 5 of us right now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Not an ideal option, but could you stay at Akumal to get the wedding site you want, but have your guests stay at Coba? Then you get what you want, as do your guests (a cheaper price)..... I know it isn't the same being at the exact hotel, but you don't spend a lot of time in your room. Good luck!
  11. If my budget was allowing I would have done bubba mugs for everyone. My compromise was the tumbler cups with straws. I also like the stadium cup idea, which as said above fixes the dirty straw problem! I think tumblers will work for some guests, and stadium cups for others - maybe think about what type of guests you have / what they drink. My bubba has a straw and I still used it for every drink - even beer haha!
  12. I'm in Calgary and my travel agent lives in BC. I couldn't find one here to see me/call me back so I used this lady as she is a friend of a friend. I don't regret it for a moment. We email all the time and when we really needed to figure things out we called eachother. She's been fantastic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. For anyone who is interested, taxes are all included in their numbers... woohoo!!! Also, I got an email reply from Liliane (I believe her name was) so is now apparently helping Kenya! @@saskbride -- what venue and package did you end up choosing for your reception? Can't remember if you wanted the palapa too?
  14. A lady who I work out with, who is also a fantastic photog, does them. For $350, you get your hair/makeup done, the shoot (unsure re how many outfit changes) and you get the album!!! She is full for November or I considered doing it. She can't do it any later or the book won't be here in time.
  15. We don't have a dishwasher so hand washing it will be. That really sucks you had to buy more, but thankfully you found some!!!
  16. Thanks! I do want to thank you for mentioning you washed them all (sans making them cloudy). I was going to wash all mine and fiance thought everyone would wash the cups themselves first because of the hangover kits being in them. I am washing them anyways lol
  17. @@tygrrlily Good point and even if my bridesmaid's see them 15 mins before everyone else, it's still a surprise for them! I am not huge on surprises either. Fiance knows more about my stagette (Nov 15) than I do, and it's killing me.
  18. hahah or you can head straight to the bar and designate him to do it Noone knows about our tumblers, etc. so I was hoping to keep it a secret!
  19. For you, I think both ideas work. Since we are only using the cups and all the things they get will be inside of the cups, it kind of just makes sense to have them pre-assembled. If I was doing OOT bags, I would probably just assemble on site, as it may be easier to lay your bags flat, then try to pack them stuffed.
