I was too scared to travel with anything breakable. We are using bloom box vases - they are cardboard with a plastic liner but can be used for anything. I have them in my possession and LOVE them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it's a good idea.... atleast then they get to wear something of their style so they will reuse them in the future. Whatever you chose, I would give them some time... I don't have a pair just laying around - I don't wear heals and most of what I do own is black, just so they aren't scrambling last minute. Like you said, it's not as easy right now with the season! It is super hard to visualize things in your head, but I think once you feel comfortable with a decision, the ease you feel gives you your answer I was panicking months back about my BM's shoes, jewelry, etc. and now I don't... even though I have never seen it all put together I just know it will look great!

I didn't do bags. I put a little hangover kit / oh shit kit inside the cups (hand sani, nail file, Advil, tums, Pepto, emergen c, gum, etc) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I chose not to use our names but a lot of ladies do. If you searched for 'tumblers' you would find a thread or two with lots of pics! -

If you do them yourselves you need a good waterproof sticker. A lot of brides on here have them done thru 'davet designs' on etsy. I did -- they are great quality and she's easy to work with Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Guests Booking At A Different Hotel

Oh good point, never really addressed the 'try to come' part! That would be frustrating. I would definitely be firm in the RSVP date, etc. Good luck! -
Guests Booking At A Different Hotel
calgarybride2015 replied to veryvalentine's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Hugs! I think we all have a story or another thru this whole wedding process! I know another bride on here has had a similar issue as you -- people booking at another resort and recruiting other invitees to do the same. I personally feel it's a horribly rude move on their part. Stay at another hotel, sure, but leave the other invitees alone. It's not their wedding! So I feel your frustration and concern that this may happen! I personally agree that they should be paying the day pass fee. They chose to stay at another resort, and you already have their fees to attend the wedding on your plate. If they stayed with everyone else, you wouldn't have to incur that cost and I stand behind them paying 100%. It never once crossed my mind to pay this for my guests, I just put it on the website that the cost would be xxx for them if they chose to stay somewhere else! Once you have time to calm down and think threw what you want to say, you should send them a quick email. Explain to them by you want everyone at the same resort - a week of activities together, the parties, the wedding, the bonding, etc. Kindly explain to them that you understand if they should wish to stay elsewhere, but again politely remind them of the cost they will incur to enter the resort & that it's a resort policy. Unfortunately there is nothing else you can do. Good luck! -

I agree with the ladies above... Maybe pick your color and ask them to get their own. I don't think some in heals and some in flip flops would look weird but I tend to be a bit 'meh' about that stuff. My ladies are in fuchsia and I got all their accent pieces and sandals in silver. We got prices for Calgary and Toronto.. she said it was so much over $2000 she didn't even want to tell me what it was LOL!! Not sure the carrier, but it would be similar time frame to yours as we are getting married on the same day! We are playing $1565 out of Calgary now for our resort, and our Toronto guests are paying $1465.

I only got lucky once and found a vendor to send to Canada. Haven't used them for cross border shipping - if you wanna do that I used kinetic -- they have stores that will accept your packages for you - you pay about $4 per package. Once registered and you pick your border they send you your shipping address and customer number. I did this for Washington and I had Amols and old navy ship there. Worked great. Ps - .com or .ca will use the same username but you'll find on .com a lot will say 'don't ship to Canada' so I assume you'd have to go in and change your address to a US one to over ride that. Hope I'm making sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey! If you are sure he means they are not welcome at any wedding events I'd be upset too. When we decided on a DW we knew we'd offer out a plus one to everyone for a couple reasons - booking as a double room is cheaper and then you have someone with you that you know and are comfortable with.I couldn't imagine not letting people bring a plus one when they are dishing out so much money to go. We are paying per person as well, and it's just something I didn't think twice about. Maybe that was his way of just saying 'plus ones at the wedding aren't allowed' but it came out wrong?!? I'd clarify and go from there. You don't need his permission to bring someone with you to Mexico, so I feel this was way of saying that you aren't able to bring a guest to the wedding....so you need to clarify and decide how you feel about the situation. Good luck!

Mine is invited and she also came dress shopping with me! She's not a party animal like me (I drink more than her) but she's not judgmental of it. It's a party to PARTY so I think you are safe! That said, personally for me, if they are in your bridal party they should be invited. I think I'd be offended if someone asked me to be in their bridal party but didn't want me at all events. I thought that was a given for bridal party members. Just something to think about good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Complete Meltdown - Possible Wedding Cancellation!
calgarybride2015 replied to KAT2015's topic in Just venting or funnies
Oh my I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope that things sort themselves out and he can find new work. What type of work does he do? Just thinking if any of us Calgary ladies have some connections for you. I'd probably hold off on deposits right now too and see what happens. While I totally understand not wanting to ask for help, this is one case where we should and our families would back us up. Hugs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Sky Lanterns Resorts That Allow?
calgarybride2015 replied to SusanMarie813's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Las caletes in the puerto Vallarta area allows them. Adventure weddings handles this location if you searched their website. It's not a resort itself, it's an off site location. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Not sure if any of you Canadian ladies are interested but I found a website - glow sticks Canada - that sells 50 glow necklaces for $34 with free shipping. I believe 100 bracelets was $16. The brackets may not be cheaper than Michael's but for the necklaces I thought it was a steal. Yes I found other places cheaper BUT with shipping it came out to be more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welcome! I only sent an invitation. We sent out our invites mid May for our January wedding. I also made a website on www.mywedding.com and our invite directed our guests there to get all the resort info, prices, travel agent contact info, etc. Worked well for us as we didn't have much time for STDs and invites. I have heard of people do e-card STDs and I think that is also a great idea - it would also save on $$$. You will find each person does something a little different. If we had more time I may have done a STD first, but our guests only had 90 days to put down a deposit so we just sent out the invites to make it easy for everyone. Good luck!

We didn't do a registry either. I didn't make mention of anything on any of our invites, brochures, website, etc. When people ask I politely tell them that their presence is gift enough for us. As it seems most people are ok with that, but close family has been asking a bit more -- my aunt asked me the other day if she could combine one of our wedding gifts with our Christmas gift so she didn't have to lug it to Mexico OMG! I told her she didn't need to get us anything, but if she insisted we had no issue with receiving it at Christmas. I'm personally not comfortable doing a registry, but as someone said above, they can either come up with a nice personalized gift or a card/money. Good luck!
