I had considered buying some of that clothing tape to have on hand just in case, but never considered gluing the brooch in place. It's a great idea, but I think i have decided to stick with my first choice! I found an Etsy seller in Canada who will mimic the design in a bracelet and her picture she sent me was great! So I will go that route! You know you are getting close to being done your planning when you no longer have things to search for on Etsy! lol!

We get 6 bags included!! I am adding on one just in case 3 will be clothes for the 4 of us. I read a review on here awhile back where she said she had 18 bags WTH!!! That's nuts hehehe. Yeah I totally understand from that perspective and his work! I have considered moving to Kelowna, but the work just isn't as easy to find as it is here in Calgary or another major center. Also, unfortunately, it's a large pay cut when you leave AB!

Thanks ladies, for that reason I think I will keep to my original idea! Hopefully the BMs sets don't do that - they are more choker style so that may work better!

Opinions wanted Alright, you all remember me questioning my jewelry in earlier posts. ​I do love my braided pearl necklace and have considered trying to either 1. find a similar bracelet or 2. just wearing a single strand bracelet of my friends that matches. I still love the 'off set brooch' style and found this set on Etsy I have been eyeing up that comes with a bracelet. I am on the fence that the upgrade is necessary, so just looking for opinions.... I totally understand, just giving my opinion!! And OMG, I know someone who just married who's friend brought a girlfriend as a plus one who wasn't invited to the wedding. She was pissed and I was floored someone would do that. Wouldn't you stop and question why this person wasn't invited in the first place and/or maybe ask the bride if that was ok?!? But I do totally get it - I offered everyone a plus one, whoever you wanted it to be because I knew that potentially people wouldn't come if they had to come alone for various reasons. I had a small 'scare' with my friend who is trying to find a boyfriend.... she asked me if dating for 2 weeks was too soon to ask him. UMMM yes!! I told her atleast 3-4 months, but I knew she didn't have that time as my RSVP deadline was only like 1.5 months away. I won that battle (and they are no longer dating!!), but on the flip side I have never met my sister's boyfriend and he is coming!

The issue is that it doesn't sound like his girlfriend is a 'flavor of the week'. In all fairness, you are going to Mexico, you don't just ask someone of a week or two, or a couple months for that matter to join you for a week get-a-way. Generally people would only invite someone if the relationship has been established. Maybe that's just me, but I would never, ever ask someone to come to Mexico with me for a week if I hadn't known them for months beforehand. You also have to trust your friend's judgement - flavor of the week sounds so tasteless (hahaha I could think of another word I want to use but it may be ban!)...

I just want to say brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! I guess winter is here, and it held off a smidge but I still hate it.

Thanks! The maracas will be on the plates at the reception. I'm not distributing anything before we leave, so will have lots to pack. We are thinking 6-7 suitcases total including clothes. I actually just 'rent' Microsoft office per month so it came with it. I had gotten it to update my resume (LOL) then got engaged so it came in extra handy! I had Microsoft Office until I got Windows 8 and nothing works the same. haha, yes thank god you got a gift receipt. My girlfriend asked if it was ok to buy me something and my size! I told her it was probably more safe to just get me a gift card if she wanted to get me something. I got them from Amol's website. Super cheap!

Agree! We have a nice camera and tripod, so we may set it up and have a guest aim it at the front of the isle hehe!

I can only speak from research/price lists I have seen, but I would say between $1300-$1700 ish.

We are also giving our tumblers/'oh shit' kits at the welcome drinks but there isn't much I can make that would fit inside the cup, so thought I could give them a cup and timeline card together Thanks ladies for your comments. I made the timeline card in Publisher which is SOOOO much easier than word!

Update This weekend and last I worked on my maraca favors. Here is the finished product. I used a sharpie to write on the maracas as most other markers rubbed off and black seemed to be the only color to show up well. I was a bit sad that my silver metallic sharpie just didn't cut it. I have my 'cards' banner done for my treasure chest,... it's taped on at the moment LOL trying to figure out how to attach it once I get to Mexico. I mailed our my pre-travel brochures/luggage tags today! I am excited for people to start receiving them! Next weekend, November 15, is my bachelorette party! I have no idea what is going on and who all RSVP'd but I am super stoked about it. One of my lovely friends can't make it so she gave me a nice gift at the gym last week - a Victoria's Secret gift card - I shall see if there is anything I can get for the wedding (if I get over my shyness!) EDIT: I have been working on a little timeline that I can hand out with at our 'Welcome Drinks' This is what I have done so far, and I am considering making the back a place for people to record each other's room numbers. It's 5x7 in size. What do you all think? (sorry for the quality/shadows - I took a photo of my computer screen) Thanks.

Did you stop in Kelowna or Penticton - wineries all over and some tasty tasty white wines. I rarely drink wine, but if I do it is white. I would LOVE to move to Kelowna but the money just isn't there like it is in Calgary! One of my favorite whites is the Gewurztraminer from Quail's Gate. Anyways, this is totally off topic, just love the Okanagan!! (I have no idea how to spell it lol)

I'm not doing them for a couple reasons -- people tend to know how a wedding goes and also we will be together 5 days before the wedding / have had a meet and greet, so people know who is who. Also the cost savings is nice. Some people make their fans into programs which is a great double! You can also get free templates online to help with $$ as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yay!! I believe you though. I ordered a few things where shipping was a hard swallow thankfully I've never had to pay customs! Hind site I would made a list and ordered everything to the states and made one trip to pick it up. Ahh well! I'm about done my shopping - just debating on changing my jewelry.
