Hindsite is 20/20, I would have totally gotten a corset back too. But it's a bit late now for that -- we will just hope for the best We booked before the flight schedules were finalized. They fully cancelled our flight, it would have been worse -- they tried to change us to the Monday but my TA fought for the Saturday departure.

Thanks! Overall I am not really worried about it. We have 40 people coming to our wedding and they are all secured thru our group booking. It was just those stragglers for whatever reason couldn't make up their minds. Shawn's groomsman lives in Mexico though, and he has had the same 8 months as everyone else. Thankfully you have people secured thru your TA as well.

I'm not getting legally married in Mexico but I arrive Saturday and marry Wednesday. Isn't my first choice but I had planned to arrive Sunday before Air Canada changed our flight. While I worry about my dress day and night I have to enjoy myself so will cross my fingers once I get to Mexico! I swell anyways so I've been thinking about all this for awhile. So our resort sold out!! Also, for our dates Air Canada appears to be sold out as well. If you want to stay at our resort you can't until 2 days after we leave -- I guess those people who sat on it for months will be out of luck unless they stay at another resort!!! I feel sorry for Shawn because now there is no way his groomsman will be able to come for more than the day

Another thought -- have you been into Oksana's in Sunridge Mall? There is a wide selection there. I know they can order in some colors depending on brand and also provide a discount of 10% when you order 3 or more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There are some online stores that have great options but most are in China, etc. I'm also a little weary of purchasing online no matter where the store is, just in case. So I feel you there. David's had about 4-5 I really liked Did they have a color close to yours? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The only bridal store I went to for the ladies was David's Bridal. I had looked online and knew their prices were reasonable. I looked at short styles only but they were all around $160 - although they do have sales! So that fits totally into your budget for them. I searched hi and low for a cheaper option - internet, department stores, prom type stores (Oksana's) and the like and while I could sometimes find something cheaper it just didn't excite me - whether quality be cheaper or too much bling, etc. Sometimes I would find the perfect dress but not in my color, ugh! Was frustrating so just decided to help them out some with the cost and get something that would look great and work for everyone Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks All I can say is try to be patient! I know it's super hard waiting. Communication has been slower than normal since their email crashed mid to late October. Keep persistent and have your TA keep on top of it for now! Yes I took the free package but upgraded to the palapa for the reception. It's beautiful and totally how I see my destination wedding. Unless I'm mistaken (or packages have changed) I'm of the understanding that the presidential package is the only one that includes the palapa 100%. Possibly the platinum does too but when I read it that one seemed to be directly on the beach! If you have any other questions let me know. This thread has been super quiet for awhile now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Deciding on the resort is the toughest part. We chose ours without having visited the site, it's really hard but it is totally possible! It can leave your head spinning. I never once considered a site tour to be honest - I spent a lot of time on trip advisor reading reviews, on the resorts websites trying to find wedding packages, etc. With all the reviews online, the reviews on this board, receiving actual wedding packages from resorts I was able to narrow it down and start getting pricing. After what seems like reviewing 1 million resorts and pricing out close to 15, we were able to narrow it down to 2 resorts based on our needs/wants, price point for guests, and their wedding packages. Then we just took the plunge!!! Once we had picked our resort we found out a few people we know who have been to this resort and married there so that helped ease our mind some. If you want to see the resort first hard, I think January is enough time for a November wedding. We picked our resort in early May and sent our invites asap. We are marrying this January so our guests had about 8 months. That is more than enough time, IMO, to plan the wedding. For me, I wanted to make sure the guests had enough time to save. Edit: I also recommend getting in touch with a travel agent who knows a thing or two about destination weddings. All my top picks were actually her recommendations. She was soooo valuable thru this process. Good luck!

Welcome and congrats! I am 2 months out so I can't say just yet what was worth it or not, etc. But I'm Fairly certain the palapa holds a 100 or more. Go back thru this thread and search on here for other Grand Sirenis posts. They have a wealth of info. Your color options sound fabulous Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ugh I know the feeling!!! So glad to be past all of that. I used Air Canada but they allowed deposits to be made in one name but changed to another before full payment was due. Once full payment was due changes couldn't be made. Hope that is the same for you. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've seen it done both ways! It's tough because if you send a picture printed onto a thank you card they can't frame it, but they can be so pretty Not sure what we will do yet but guess I should start thinking about it. The wedding I attended last year had a picture in the thank you card. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I didn't get your email!!! maybe I will send you one today and see if you get mine! I got the tumblers at Dollarama. They were $2 each. I know Dollar Tree has something similar and cheaper, but I had already bought mine! The luggage tags - I bought the holders from Amazon.com, they are called Advantus Proximity Badge Holders. I then got the loops from Dollarama. They come in packs of 5 for $1 with laminating sleeves but I tossed those. You can find the loops on Ebay and Amazon but I didn't need the large packs they were selling. I also found the badge holders at Staples but they were a bit more expensive.

Wow interesting!! Glad they are working it out. Ya I was a little panicked and upset too but it really hit at my first fitting when the seamstress was scared to zip it up lol. She's taking it out but when you think of taking it out you fear it's just too small and I'll be scrambling last minute to get another one. Ugh! And it's a hard time of year for not indulging some. I try not to think about it so I don't stress too much. Hindsite I would have gotten the size up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mine is more straight across so I am Just wearing a strapless bra. I have large boobs though so I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing no bra! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
