  1. Update Thought I would make another update... I had my bachelorette party on November 15th. My girlfriend had a casino night at her house. There was roulette and blackjack and such. Her husband and his friends were the dealers and the bartenders, etc. Was a super amount of fun and so neat to see a lot of my friends come out!! They had me dressed up in a silly outfit and we had planned to head out to Craft Beer Market in Calgary to sell some lollipops but lets just say we had wayyyyyy to much fireball and never made it Hangover of the century but was loads of fun. Shawn is out for his stag tonight, I can only imagine by the initial pictures I saw on FB! (poor fella!) I made my blume box vases. Here is a finished picture beside our table numbers. Not so sure anymore that I like my white votive holders with everything else being so colorful but I may be out of time!! I am considering a sparkle spray paint. I received my banner I purchased from Etsy. She is a Canadian seller - PrettiedUpPaper This was custom made for me and she was super easy to work with. I am not overly thrilled with the pink ribbon as it's not our color so I changed it out for black. The edges of the paper are black antiqued but it's hard to tell in the picture. For those who are curious, this isn't chipboard, it's just card stock. I didn't want to spend the extra for chipboard as I know I won't be using it again. It is still great quality and I am super happy with it. I found a Canadian seller on Etsy - Emmiemaeboutique - to make me a bracelet to match my necklace. The beads she used are small and match the smallest part of my necklace. It really is a mini replica and I love it!!!! (it's not done up in the picture, it isn't really that wide on my wrist) I have decided to order some more stickers with our names & wedding info on them from Vistaprint. I will attach these to card stock then tie them onto the fans. I bought a round hole punch and want to put it to good use I will post a picture when those are completed. This is what I am considering, but haven't decided 100% yet I am also waiting for some numerical stamps to come in the mail to finish up my postcards. I still need to come up with a cute saying for the vase holding the glow bracelets. I also need to work on assembling our tumbler cups/hangover kits. Need a few more items for the kids cups. I have decided that the flower girl pail will go without any ribbons. I like it better just basic to avoid it not looking to 'cheesy' Hmmmm, I think that is it!!!! We are at about 49 days until we fly!!! oh ps - December 3rd is my fitting date -- she should have the dress taken out and we can now size it to me!!! crossing my fingers as this has caused me some stress over the past month.
  2. I paid $2 so $1 or $1.50 is great IMO lol I'd do colored ones but I'm easy going. Maybe pick a female color and a male color Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So excited for you two!!!!!!!!!! (and possibly a little jealous I have 1.5 months left).... can't wait for reviews and pictures!
  4. I just started using a 4-1 product (SPF, primer, foundation, powder) by pure minerals -- she recommended I use it with a kabuki brush and wow I can totally see the difference in coverage (I'm sure it's in part to both products) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Let us know what you think after a day or two! I considered this but also made sure the resort can do glue ons! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I've seen nothing but positive reviews on the spa so I am using them in January. The fees to bring someone on are pricey as it's per person using their services plus day passes for the hair people. Pricey! In Canadian dollars bridal hair is around $140 and makeup $85. Special hairstyle (bridesmaid)! Is about $104. Adventure Photos is very responsive if you haven't contacted them yet but their prices for photos only start at around $700 for 3 hour and go all way up to darn near $3000. I am using the 8 hour photo only package which is $1600 USA - called emerald package. (About $1800 Canadian) Hope that helps! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Not sure it's the same but I've been on this site www.haircomesthebride.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hair comes the bride has a website too (if they are the same people/business!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have my own regime but wanted to jump in and say I'm Going to be a GS bride in less than 2 months!!!! Would love to hear your experience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I know! Our stores seem to be nuts with the 7-12 coupon. Was tamer last night - I just needed a large hole punch. I don't think I have anything left to buy. What are you using the double sided tape for? (Just ensuring I didn't miss something myself lol!!!!) I thought of you when I saw that camera on sale then the coupons! Hindsite hey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I had to giggle with your 'what now?' comment. I remember when I came home with my newborn twins, almost 9 years ago (Dec 19), and I looked at their dad and was like 'what do we do now?' hahahah great memories, thank you for that.
  12. It's those instances where you have to think the shipping has a large mark up!! I sent all my pre travel brochures for under $30! I know it wasn't to the USA but size wise I sent a lot more... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Totally understand! Generally I will exhaust my search before I pay unreal shipping prices. A couple times on this journey I sucked it up - $3 stamps $9 shipping (like really?) $19 (flat cardboard) vases $25 shipping (even worse!) Then the Davet Designs labels were a bit pricey for shipping, but when the package comes and the postage on the envelope is what you paid it tends to hurt less. lol.
  14. There is one off country hills too might have been how awesome the coupon was! I just want a large hole puncher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Be prepared for line ups. All tills to the back of the store at 32ave Calgary location haha. What I want isn't on sale so the 50% off coupon is a better deal. I'll go back later Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks! I ordered a set off of EBAY... stamps were cheap, shipping was not LOL!!! Hopefully they won't take too long to get here with the holidays
  17. All is absolutely fabulous!!! Well done lady! Your bouquet is beautiful and honestly I wouldn't change a thing. Your programs are also fantastic. I liked all of them - you can't go wrong. Hehe on the mistake - it's a piss off isn't it? The maracas look great. I may stamp a thank you on the back of my tags. My friend said I was putting thank you in too many places but seeing you do it made me want too!! It's going to be beautiful Can't wait to hear all about it!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm also a people pleaser and generally I think we take on a lot more guilt than needed. Ie - we assume people are feeling or thinking or expecting something they aren't. But this situation makes it harder because it was verbalized. All you can do is trust you did all you could and try to move on. You did marry the love of your life and that's all that matters. 19. This is why I changed mine to 3pm from 330pm. We lose light at 530pm and I'm worried if we start late we may run into this problem with getting a good photo shoot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I don't think you can win no matter what you do -- it's too close to Christmas, it's too soon after Christmas, it's too close to Easter, it's too close to my great grandma's sister's brother's cousin's communion hahahah!! You can only do the best you can do!
  21. Glad your dress is about done! One stress done! My seamstress asked if I wanted mine shorter to account for sinking in the sand. Doesn't appear anyone else has been asked this - did yours? Maybe she did as you are concerned re tripping
