heheh I am so not formal!! But honestly for me, I wouldn't want to wear pants in a tropical location, so I don't feel my fiance should either. I have never doubted he being in shorts, it's more the color of the shirt that drives me mental!!!! But if we were to marry somewhere other than a beach, he would be in pants 100%

My groom and his men are in shorts themselves so I'm sure those anti-shorts brides would love us haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm laid back. I said basically a nice pair of shorts and shirt or a summer dress. Nothing overly formal (as I am not) and I don't want them to die! I did clearly say 'no swimsuits' Since the whole bridal party is in sandals I defiantly don't mind if everyone else is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Weight Loss For Hot Wedding Pics!
calgarybride2015 replied to Loveweddings2014's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Thanks!! Sounds fantastic. I've opted to have open bar at the beach and/or palapa and not shuttle people. Don't want the hassle of people not making it back, etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Did you use the spa? Did they steam your dress? Haha sorry!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
You are working hard!! Are you giving sunglasses to everyone? We got our wedding party those colorful ones (remember old school when we were kids?) to do fun photos, but apart of me wished we would have done a mix of fans and sunglasses 'keep cool' 'be cool' idea I saw in another planning thread. Sorry to hear you are having issues with Fed Ex. Generally my issues are with Canada Post doing things like that! Thankfully though you get to see your bouquets tomorrow!!! Look forward to your review about the frustrating review of your wedding bill. I have small nightmares about this myself. While the stress of leaving to Mexico isn't fun, you seem to have yourself jam packed until you fly, which may help you sleep at night!!!! Edit - ps - LOVE the idea of framing wedding photos. I soooo wanted to do this because I lost my mom and wanted to have a tribute to her wherever possible. But..... My dad remarried, Shawn's dad and mom both remarried, and I can't have a whole table of ALLLLL their wedding photos hahahahah!

$100 off is a $100, better than nothing IMO. At the start we were about $100 less but as time went on and until our flight and resort sold out it was close to $500 less we paid. I also agree go to a TA not just the airline. They can work better deals, etc. Local or not isn't an issue but one who has some experience with destination weddings is a good idea. I'm in AB and mine is in BC. She was great. Being Canadian I don't recommend doing flight and resort separate. We have one guest doing this as they are moving and weren't sure when and it's costing them soooooo much more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Awesome find, IMO, for that resort and 7 nights. Good job!! I also agree, I used a travel agent and I got some great group booking bonuses... She also handled everything for our 40 guests that I wouldn't/couldn't have done on my own!!!

Dress, Hair Piece, Lime Green Decor
calgarybride2015 replied to ylan9383's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade or Freebies!
You'd be risking it!!! I just had something from Texas arrive in 1 week exactly, but it was xpress post. -
That's a great price from Canadian standards, but how many nights are included?

I posted about it in my planning thread but it went great!!! Forgot my sandals so a final hem will be done after next visit but it's such a relief to know the dress fits. So January 3 is final fitting for length and waist adjustment. Pick up January 7!!! I did learn my undies show thru as they are white so that's my new mission this weekend Thanks for thinking about me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PHEW!!!!! Dress fitting a success I go back Jan 3 for a final fitting. She's taking it up more but I forgot my sandals tonight (sigh) so we will firm up the final length and make sure the waist adjustment is perfect and it'll be ready by Jan 7!! She did a ?french? Bustle so it's goes under not on top so it shows the beading. My BM said the picture does it no justice. One thing I need to re-purchase -- underwear!! White under an ivory dress = see it all. Will look for something nude. I had kind of talked myself into it being too small so I started looking at dress alternatives. My advice -- don't do it!!!! While I still love my dress I get the temptation to pick it apart and want a different one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We got 2 packages for free minus the taxes - so flight, transfers to/from airport, and 7 nights at the resort. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Were you able to do this and get perks? I got 2 free trips and an upgrade to first class. Well worth using a travel agent. Things work different in Canada and I assume the OP is Canadian as Sunwing is a Canadian company. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
