Cheap Maracas For Reception!
calgarybride2015 replied to jamieirene's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I got these. Save your money and just get the medium size as they all vary. Yellow ones are thin on paint but otherwise highly recommend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Not Doing Oot Bags?
calgarybride2015 replied to Kayla88's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I agree. Most people don't know the term OOT or what it entails. Personally I think people would appreciate a bubba more than a bag full of travel items they probably packed anyways. Everyone loves bubbas!! Bubba's weren't in our budget as we have 44 guests but I did get them tumblers. What I did was put stuff in the cups (Advil, tums, Pepto, hand sani, mentos, nail file, etc) with a little 'oh shit' kit card that thanked them for coming. This was our compromise. Hindsite I wish I would have only done bubbas and just budgeted for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
You are flying Transat right? We are Air Canada, but had a couple last minute guests book with West Jet. Planning is basically done, just doing crafts and such. I got my personal WC last week and we have been trying to tweek my timeline, etc. She is painfully slow, which is a tick off, as everyone says it gets better now (not my case, but I heard a rumor my lady is new which scares my Type A personality) Is a photographer included in your package? EDIT - maybe I will see you in the airport hahah!!!! I have to stop spending money- I had a couple last minute add ons for the wedding day in Mexico!! i also booked my legal marriage for Jan 10, eek!

I am not exactly sure where these companies are located, but on the boards these artists are talked about a lot. (sorry if I miss any) You could also check the review section as there is a whole thread for this - MVP (pretty sure they are in Playa) - Styling Trio - Beso Brides Edit: here is the link http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/reviews/c/21730-hair-makeup-favors-reviews/

Bridal Shower Dilemma
calgarybride2015 replied to jeffandrobyn's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I don't think it hurts for her to mention it. Maybe he would go? Hehe To be honest I wouldn't have brought a gift to an engagement party. Between showers and wedding gifts plus sometimes people also buy bachelorette gifts, that seems like a lot on your family and friends. But that's just my thoughts in general. My guilt of asking people to pay $$ just to attend the wedding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
It's for pictures too But you'll get there. I downloaded stuff for ideas or wording help, etc. Just went thru last night and cleaned out my downloads folder as there will be no new projects. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello! I'm marrying at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya and my wedding for 46 on the private beach and reception in the private palapa is about $5200. After our booking bonuses with the airline our package for 7 nights (flight/hotel/transfers/tax) for 2 adults and 2 kids was $3100 (was $5100) so with that said I think $10,000 is very doable. If you want more info on the resort let me know. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mother And Father Of The Groom Not Attending?!?!
calgarybride2015 replied to JennyZ's topic in Just venting or funnies
Thinking about you -- hope everything is working out the way you would like. Keep us posted. HUGS! -
Thank you! At first I was hoping to just use the humidity and a hot shower and hearing it worked for you helps put my mind at ease. I'm fairly laid back about it all but with a month to go now panic is setting in and it sucks!! I have some single lady friends who probably wouldn't mind my dress hanging open in their room either. Thanks again!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good morning, I haven't looked around my city to see what they charge for a steam, but I was a bit taken back when my resort told me it would cost me about $160 US, which is probably close to $200 Canadian for this service. This sounds unreasonable to me, but maybe I am wrong? It's a steaming not a dry clean. My alterations place will do a 'light steam' when my dress is done. Not exactly sure what that means but it's probably not smart to steam it in Canada (instead of Mexico) as it may be wrinkled by the time it gets off the plane and the shuttle to the resort. Anyone have success using an iron or the showers in Mexico to work them out or should I just suck up I may have to pay this fee? Thanks!
