I told myself no Coke Zero until I drink 8 cups of water. I'm on track food wise this week since back from Cuba. Way to scared still to get on the scale. My clothes are tight so I know it's not good. That said still struggling to find a balance for full time work, 2 classes due on March 31 and the gym. Let alone home and kids. So instead of tackling it I did nothing all week hahah Oh my! Keep up the good work ladies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 315 replies

Awe Hun I'm so sorry to hear you went thru all of that. So disappointing May I ask who your WC was? You mentioned a lot of issues that the WC should have been a part of (rehearsal dinner) or handled herself (decor) and makes me wonder what went wrong there. Some of your 'minor' irritations I had too. I didn't get any special things like wifi or such for bringing 45 people. I tried the bride card more than once with no luck but let it go since my wedding went off just fine. I feel for you and I hope you can move past it and remember you still married the love of your life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Newb - Feeling Discouraged - Is Dec. Impossibly Expensive?

Hello! I second what all the ladies above said. If you have your heart set on December I recommend getting quotes for Jan 1.2.3 or 4 as your departure date. You'll find they should drop some! I say this because we just returned from our first anniversary trip. We travelled Jan 2-9 to Cuba and the prices were more than $1000 less than having our trip fall over NYE. We are in Calgary though but just something to keep in mind. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 13 replies

Ohhh I'll check out the 'you and me' one. And the others you mentioned you had. I'm eying up the dangly wedding ring but at $140 just not sure. My original is basically full (can maybe fit one or two more depending on size) I have a few more of the 'glass' colored charms and dice from Vegas you can't see on that one. So I can work to fill the bangle!! Hehe They didn't have the bangle when I got mine so was excited Shawn got me it . And come on Doug, women love their charms!! I love Pandora. Def trust the reviews of the people you know over trip advisor as Ann said. I scour those before choosing a resort and sometimes laugh after at what people complain about let us know what you decide Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Awe that's great. Love the choices. For my birthday before the wedding Shawn got me the Mexico one! For our wedding he got me 'forever together' although he had already gotten me it (haha) so I got a heart one as none of the wedding ones really drew me in. Still hoping to find one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good job!!! Those will look fantastic. Nice find! Those were on clearance when I was engaged so they finally dropped it enough to be a clear bargain awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am fairly certain those chairs are unless the packages have changed since I got married. It will be in the info packages for sure If you can't get a reply back from Adrianna, I can see if my WC knows - she is on my FB! If you get your own lanterns they will hang them around the parameter of the palapa not from the 'ceiling' It's a pretty tall ceiling so my guess is that it's just too dangerous and labor intensive for a WC to get up there. We had a Dec 2014 bride on here who brought her own and that's where they hung hers. For 10 lanterns inside was about $100, seems steep but they were beautiful. Maybe on site try to ask for them for free? hahah I was debating them even up to my WC meeting so she threw them in! Yes all 4 of us went to the salon! Considering they truly get the same service as the bride it kind of sucks I paid more haha! They had a special on for the girls, which they may just do all the time to up sell, which was maybe around $130 for hair/makeup. It was either 1200 or 1600 pesos. Sorry it was awhile ago. Nonetheless they do an AWESOME job!

Everything looks fantastic - love the bags. I think you did a great job on your OOT bags. I personally feel it's enough, but if you wanted to add more maybe Tums? You can get travel size 3 packs at Walmart for cheap. (hahah I think of this as I had nasty heartburn a couple times in Cuba and glad I had packed them!) Your party looked fabulous. They did such a great job! I had to laugh at Der's dad's comment - in the shower naked, sounds like maybe he had 10 shots too? hehehe!!!! I really can't just wait to see it all come together. You will be such a beautiful bride!!! This last bit will fly by...... On weddingstar? I can't seem to find it - will keep looking!

Hey! Head table is a rectangle but size depends on how many people you have sitting at it - it's sized based on that! Both my cake and guestbook table where square tables. Sorry I have no measurements but I'm sure the WC would send them. I'd probably do the white clothes they provide and do a runner. They also offer both to rent in various colors but unsure on cost but feel confident the prices are on their list The chairs that come in the normal packages are like plastic lawn chairs so you'd need the covers (which come free anyways). They are pretty basic without the chair bows so would recommend those. You could upgrade to the Tiffany chairs but I recall them being pricey. I think that's what you get though in the presidential package. I have photos in my review and planning thread but could email you some. I have a good wide shot that will at least show you main tables. Not much decor is needed. It's beautiful on its own. I think the Chinese lighted lanterns are worth the rental. Traveling With Your Decor
calgarybride2015 replied to Kaitlyncrossley's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Do you mean your resort will charge you to set up decor you bring? Some resorts do that - probably so you pay for theirs - but most brides find the fee is cheaper than their decor rental fees lol. My resort didn't charge for decor set up so best to ask! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 5 replies
