Has anyone run into the issue with the 20 room maximum on the room block? My TA is saying that if we want to block more than 20 rooms it changes the "package" and the amenities actually go down, to 1 free room for every 15. That seems counter intuitive to me - i'm bringing them more people. oh well. anyways, i was curious if anyone else ran into this and if you just went with it or tried to do something else. I was wondering if we could do 2 separate room blocks? The problem is i'm not really sure how many people are going to come! argh! I think we'll get 20 with family and close friends. I don't know if i should just book 20 and hope that anyone over that that is coming is able to get a room, or go with 30 with less amenities... And just to add - we got our date confirmed!!! I'm so excited! April 17, 2015. It has been a stressful past few weeks trying to pick a place and I'm so glad to have it done! now i can actually focus on my job so i can keep earning money to pay for this wedding!

@@acw271011 Thanks for the clarification on us vs canada travel. I am based in the us and was wondering how all these people had package deals and was wondering if I missed something. I have been talking with a travel agent, but the main thing I've seen on the rooms is just 6 rooms get 1 free. If my guests could just book lower rates I would prefer it. @@DinaQtobe what resort did you go to? Did your guests have any trouble because of using bookit? How many guests did you have? Is anyone struggling with the guest rates? I was looking to plan our wedding in March 2015. I was shocked when I started looking at rates. $700 per person for 3 nights at azul sensatori and more like 600 at now jade. My fiancées mom is freaking out. It's frustrating because when i look on book it right now I see now jade in October for $360 for 3 nights. Unfortunately it won't return rooms for 2015. Is this just because we are looking in March? Did others get group rates this low for weddings in October? Has anyone just told their guests the hotel for the wedding and let them book on their own? If so how did it work out. I know if we do group bookings we get some discounts but it feels wrong then that I'm getting the savings not them? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I just found this site this week and so wish I had found it a month ago when i first started doing research! I am also feeling less alone about being stressed out! I picked the destination wedding because it seemed less stressful than planning one at home - right now I'm not so sure that's the case! I've been all over the place trying to find the right resort for us. I was originally thinking Azul Sensatori, but was really struggling with the guest rates - about $700 per per person for 3 nights. The TA recommended NOW Jade as a slightly lower cost alternative (around $600) and she also mentioned Sandox Caracol. I was all in for NOW Jade, but my fiance got excited about Sandos Caracol. There don't seem to be many recent reviews of it here. Can anyone help out? We are bringing my fiances boys with us to the wedding - 13 and 16, but i don't many other people are going to bring their kids and it seems like Sandos is very family focused? Thoughts? Recommendations? How did others find people responding the cost? I had a bit of sticker shock, but i've never done and all-inclusive before. I will say, it's frustrating they don't have a teen rate - we have to pay adult rates for his kids - that's why i'm not sure that anyone else will bring their kids unless they are little because its so much. Thanks for any help!
