We're skipping the programs since I think people don't really care for them anyways. Instead we're using the money for some flooding fans incase it's hot that day. I looked into all of those hotels and was about to make a trip down there to check them all out, but then I realized all of them are probably going to be awesome and I still wouldn't know! So we just decided to go with now sapphire and chance it. We figured if hundreds of other brides said it was awesome than it would be great. I'm also pretty adventurous and don't really like visiting the same places twice so id rather take the money we would of spent on checking all the hotels out and take a totally separate vacation. I have April 18.2015 and I just ordered the save the dates. I'm looking into photography now since they book up far in advance. Then dj and flowers. I'm trying to plan everything out now so there's no surprises in the end and I can relax and enjoy all the wedding festivities like bridal shower and bachlorette party!! Finding the destination was the hardest part so far. It took me a good two months. Started in Costa Rica, Dominica republic, punta Cana, Jamaica and finally decided on now sapphire in cancun Mexico! They seemed to have the best rates for what you get for the guest rooms and it's close to the airport which was a huge plus for us since a lot of our guest will be popping in for a quick trip. Having a flexible date saved a bunch of money on the rooms. our hotel dropped from 400-290 just by pushing it back a couple months! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll have to look into wright travel agency as well. our hotel hasn't been easy to work with and isn't giving us any breaks. The hotels in Mexico are a lot different with the room blocks than here in the US! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm doing the beach but thought about doing it elsewhere. I'm not to excited about sand in my shoes but the backdrop will be awesome! And the photographer said he would photoshop bystanders out so that made me feel a lot better.

I think I would rather have silk flowers instead of the shells (if you didn't want to use real ones) the shells could mess up your dress

I think the knot is the easiest to use and the personalized domain name is totally worth it. It so much simpler to spread the word of your website if its short and easy to remember.

newbie here! 150 seems so far away!

Hi ladies! I'm working on my wedding budget and the wedding book say cocktails are $15 per hour. I'm planning my cocktail hour from 6:30-7:30 and reception from 7:30-11:30 which is 5 hours long= $75 per person! Please tell me this is not right... Do the dinner prices include any cocktails? It seems a little crazy if the bar price is higher than the cost of the food. For the past brides with the divine package- what was the price per person for you and how long was your reception? Thanks for your help!

I'm hoping one of you can help me with this... I am having my wedding at the Now Sapphire on April 18,2015 and need to know the best way to block off the rooms. When I asked the hotel for a room block/discounted group rate they sent me a contract with the same rates that were on their website, and the contract wouldn't even guarantee that rooms would be available (just that the rate wouldn't increase for the first 20 rooms booked). It seems a little weird to me how they don't offer any special deals for a group when we are looking to book 20-40 rooms. How are you all reserving your rooms for your guest and if you're going through a travel agent do you mind sending me their contact? Thanks for your help!

I am having my wedding at the now sapphire April 18,2015 and very confused about the room blocks. I got a room block contract from Xochitl and it looks like they are reserving the rate for $290 for a double occupancy room (same as hotels website) and not even guaranteeing that the rooms will be available! I also told her that we would need more rooms for our wedding an she said that's all try can do. How is everyone else's reserving the rooms and what rates do you have? Also it didn't mention anything about getting the 6 or 7 room free. Where did you guys see that and how do I et set up with that promo? Thank you for all your help!!
