General rule is if they own the business then you don't tip. If they work for a company then you should tip. I used to work in the industry and I never expected it but I certainly appreciated it. I am not sure how much I will tip in mexico but it will be based on their service and not a percentage of the cost.

Vendors (photographer & DJ) usually always require food. They are people too and need to eat to function. It's not like they can leave your wedding to go get food, so you need to bring it to them. They are usually fine with heavy appetizers and will step off to the side to eat really quick. Just make sure you talk about it when you book them. It's not like they need the 4 course meal your guest get they just need fuel to keep working.

the budget is really tricky since the guest list can go in so many directions for us. We're inviting 140 people and 30 have said for sure yes before we even sent out the save the dates! As long as we stay under 75 people i think we can be in our budget with $20,000 including hotel, dress, invites ect.

Im glad i dont have this issue it seems like it can be a sticky situation. I would just keep pushing the destination to a farther location to cut the guest list if i had to.

I was wondering this when we booked our hotel since it is an all inclusive and some might want to go to an A La Cart hotel. I hope i don't run into this issue and am making it clear that we want all of our guest at our hotel (& so that we can spend as much time with them as possible) The kid issue can be tricky. Its kind of unfair to not pick up the tab when they don't even have an option to stay your hotel to avoid the fee. I would ask your hotel if they have a sister hotel that the kids could stay at and avoid the entrance fee for the wedding. I saw that some of the hotels had a hopper type pass to get them in, just not sure which hotels did they were.

I think you could go either way with OOT bags. We're still deciding on our but will probably do something like a welcome letter, cup, Advil, Emergency vitamin packs & something else. We don't want to put too much money in them but want to do something as a thank you. Also our hotel charges to place bags in the rooms so we are giving them out at the welcome cocktail hour instead to save some money.

Just make sure you don't shake it on the plane and mess up the colors after the ceremony. We are thinking about doing a knot thing since it will be easier to travel with.

I can not see myself in flats/ barefoot for my wedding. I wear heals/ wedges everywhere and my FI is over a foot taller than me. So I will be in wedges... I'm hoping the sand ceremony wont be to bad but i think i can manage. The reception will be on concrete so that should be fine. And when else can i drop a ton on shoes and not feel bad about it?!? If i was taller i would probably be barefoot for the ceremony thought. The beaded things for your feet are really cute!

I could go either way. Our hotel will give us a free room the night before so we can be separate (Based upon availability) so if we have the extra room we will do it if not then i'm not paying for an extra and we will just part after breakfast.

I like the knot and bought a domain name. It's way easier for guest to remember a short website address with just our names. My guest are already saying how awesome our wedding website is

Glad it all worked out! My sister is my MOH as well and we have our ups and downs too. Everything seems to always work out with us though. All my friends and FI laugh when i go on my rants about her, they are like just wait till next week and she will be your bff again. & they are always right lol
