Hey friends! I suck. I took forever to write my review and it isn't even that awesome or detailed. However, I did post it on to trip advisor so I thought I would forward it over to you all. If you have specific questions, feel free to reach out! We hosted our destination wedding on October 3rd, 2015 at Azul Sensatori Mexico. We had an amazing experience! It seems a lot of similar feedback is posted on other reviews so I will be concise. Employees to mention that went above and beyond in their service to all of the guests from the Vargas-Ramírez wedding would be Fernando at check in, all of the staff at Mojito Lounge, all of the staff at room service during those late nights, all of the restaurant staff who helped us out especially for our rehearsal dinner/wedding reception, Berenice Hernandez & Laura Jimenez at the wedding department, and Imadelia at the salon. To be fair, all of the employees except for two employees (one from Tapaz restaurant and the other person at front desk as we were checking out) were very pleasant and accommodating. The food is fresh, delicious, and is of high quality. The best dining experience was at Zocalo restaurant for its ambiance and cuisine. The most disappointing dining experience was Tapaz mainly due to service. The rooms are extremely spacious and for the most part, very modern. The views were outstanding. The only complaint about the rooms were the sinks. They were very high and that doesn't come across convenient for a short person like me. We were booked in a premium room and the extra amenities are a beautiful touch. The private check in was very nice to experience. The beach isn't the best that I've seen. For majority of the trip, the water did not have so much seaweed as many other posts have stated. However, on our final day at the resort, the water was not clear at all and it felt strange to swim in the ocean. The pools are gorgeous! Absolutely no complaints. If I didn't have so much to do for the wedding, I would have stayed in the pool during the entire trip! The wedding department did an EXCELLENT job executing what I had envisioned for my wedding. The staff was on time and very professional during the entire event. The outside vendors (Mega DJ and the 9 piece mariachi band) were fantastic! We had a lot of pleasant feedback from our guests about the wedding so we are happy the wedding department made that happen. As the bride and groom, we felt that the wedding department helped make the trip worthwhile for our guests. That was so important for us! Thanks again to Berenice, Laura from Azul Weddings. Another thank you to Ingrid and Ximal (I'm pretty sure I spelled that incorrectly) from Lomas Travel. :-) The service at Azul Sensatori was outstanding. I feel comfortable recommending the Karisma resorts to my family and friends. The majority of my wedding group was very happy with their resort stay and I would certainly continue to travel to the Karisma properties! I have now stayed at all Azul resorts and I'm still very impressed each time I travel. Continue the amazing work! Thank you for making our destination wedding the best experience possible! I do and already checked. Since I booked in Jul 2014, the promo I have is for every ten rooms booked, one is free. That was another surprise with Karisma. In the contract it doesn't state the amount of rooms you could receive complimentary and they capped it at 4 when we were under the impression it was 6 rooms. Even though we fought it, Karisma kept saying no. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Follow up from the weekend; Basically; a person price is listed in fine print but every email between the coordinator and I implies the price for cocktail hour is optional depending on what I want so I wrongfully assumed that because we hosted a private reception, we could still have a cocktail hour at the cost of decor and optional food service. Miscommunication on my end but no clarification from the wedding coordinator in which, I figured that's what the the wedding's job is to do. Any feedback from brides who didn't have a traditional cocktail hour and had it at one of their lounges or something like that? Thanks @@amyzig2 - my family and I feel that with the amount of people we are bringing and the amount we are spending already that we shouldn't be paying anymore money to them. Personally, I feel any time wedding is added in a sentence, it's another 20-30% marked up. My mom thinks I should just have it at one of their bars. She's kind of like, "let their staff deal with 150 people in one lump and see how they like it." I just don't know how my guests would react. Any brides not have a private cocktail hour and have a great experience? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey girls, Had my 2nd surprise today after more than a year of wedding planning. I believed that if you didn't want food during your cocktail hour, you wouldn't have to pay extra to host a cocktail hour. I thought the cost of the reception per person rate included cocktail hour alcohol. Was I way off for thinking that way? I understand if I'm dumb for thinking that way but I'm looking at every single email between my coordinator and I and there is never a mention of a mandatory cost per person for cocktail hour. We spoke on the phone today and she told me I needed to select food for my cocktail hour and I was confused. I said, I just thought it would be a bar setup is all. She said it was a $20 per person minimum if I wanted only bar service since I had reserved a private function area. This is out of budget for us as we have 150 guests coming (yeah; I know it's a lot. Didn't expect that many) and, we just can't do it. Any advice? I feel so lost/sad. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
