  1. I am going to be using a wedding fan instead of bouquet. Anyone doing both? My mom bought me one when I was a little girl. I still want to do a bouquet toss, so not sure what I will do exactly. Maybe I will use both.
  2. Had an artist on etsy design my invitations. She was great. I wanted a topper at first and then suggested to her the invitations. It means a lot to us as a couple. As a Peace Corps Volunteer I learned to ride my bike with my fiance and fell a lot of times. The Bible verse is Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." It has double meaning because of how many times I fell trying to learn how to ride my bike with my finace and alone, but I did it finally. Love my invitations.

This is my dress and a wedding fan my mom bought for me from Spain when I was a little girl.
  7. Here is mine. Goes with invitations. I also have cupcake toppers being made now. Can't wait to get them
  8. I would suggest getting the maracas at the location. Talk to the planner or people at hotel. We had these made in Nicaragua with our names and date. They are gold since that's my wedding color and I am going to use it for the escort cards tie with white ribbon.
  9. I am bringing papel picado because I really wanted that incorportated into my wedding. Also taking some things to decorate cake and cake table.
  10. I just decided this week I'm going for it and doing them, but really I think it's just as useful to give guests a little booklet with information on the location. It's just a nice way to say thanks for coming all the way out here for my wedding.
  11. This is going to be my centerpiece, but I'm not into the apples, so we are doing shells and sand instead. These flowers are supposed to do well in the heat of Nicaragua.
  12. Anyone else getting married in Nicaragua? I am getting married this July in San Juan del Sur.
  13. New one here, wondering if anyone else is getting married in Nicaragua? I am getting married this July in San Juan del Sur. I have most things figured out. Just got my maracas with our names and date engraved. Getting more exicted
