Thank you!!! I wish I was in the home stretch.....I am a little stressed because my parents don't want to fly and suggested we do cruise....they will drive to NY or Bmore to get on the ship. Not at all my vision for a wedding..so I am keeping to my first plan. This is my second marriage, so my dad has walked me down the isle. I am doing it my way this time!!! I lived in Blue Bell but we recently moved to DE. Thanks for the tips and good luck! -
Where did you find them in the Philadelphia area? I would like my fiancé to wear either white or grey. The groomsmen in grey.

Hi! I am living in the Philly suburbs and I am planning a destination wedding for October 2015. I am planning to have my wedding in Jamaica. I recently went to a bridal show.....there was some good ideas: t-shirts, invitations etc. Being a destination wedding bride, most ideas at the bridal shows didn't really help me. If you are having an at home reception, then it is really helpful as far as caterers and other vendors. The one thing that has been great for me is the travel agent. If there are any Philly brides that are in need of a travel agent, I have a great one. She has set up visits to the venues in Jamaica for me and I am also going again in June with my travel agent to a resort. Happy planning! -

Hi Pam, I will definitely post pictures. I am so excited to see the resort. My travel agent lives here in the States but she is originally from Jamaica. She set up the visit as she felt it would be better for me to see it first hand. I am also going to visit Secrets again, just so I have it fresh in my mind. Tish -

Congratulations!!! I have heard Turks and Caicos is absolutely beautiful. Turks was one of my choices but we ultimately decided on Jamaica. It is really nice to do site visits. I have been to two resorts in Jamaica for site visits and I am going back in June 2014 to look at another location. My travel agent is actually going with me to this site visit. Hi Kailin, Congratulations! I am an October 2015 bride also! I have put Royalton at the top. I am actually going to Jamaica from June 6 -10th and I am hoping to do a site visit at the Royalton while I am there. I believe that will definitely help me decide between Secrets, Iberostar and the Royalton. (I have already visited Secrets and Iberostar). I will let you know what I think when I return. I am so sorry to hear this! It is a real bummer not to have the family there with you. I was also told by my parents and my fiancé that they won't be attending our wedding next year in Jamaica. My dad refuses to fly. He has flown before but states he will not get on a plane again. Also, my fiancé's dad refuses to fly. I was very disappointed but this is my second marriage and my father did walk me down the aisle the first time. I know it is easier said than done but try not to take it personal. Realize that this is about the life you are beginning with you and your fiancé. It will make your bond stronger! Adversity always does! -
