  1. @beckys98 it's amazing what one weekend can do in terms of getting ahead. I'm trying to maximize the amount of things I can get done and sorted out by end of March so that I feel good about starting April. lol April and May are going to fly byyyyyyyyy @@TinkerSofi Aww so are we. I was born in Canada but half Spaniard and half Mexican and the FI is Peruvian. quite a mix. What is your first dance song?
  2. How exicting- your wedding is right around the corner! I am happy to hear that you liked your eye lash extensions. I'm trying those out today to see how I like them and if I will get them for the wedding
  3. @beckys98 Awww, I'm sure you are right where you need to be. Trust me, there are a lot of brides on this forum whose weddings are months after mine and they are way ahead of where I am at. I've decided that I'm not going to compare myself to others because all our processes are so unique and part of the fun is to enjoy the journey. my FI used to throw parties for a living so he's very much leading the way as well with the planning but he has yet to make his appointment for his suit fitting or his wedding band. lol
  4. @@TinkerSofi We are going to use an iPod - thank you for reminding me that I def need to start settting that up. My only issue is that our guests are split with some that only speak English, a few that speak both English and Spanish, and then a crowd that only speaks Spanish. So I'm going to let the FI pick some Spanish songs to so we can have a nice balance. Can't wait to hear your music picks.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ6wJqaE6o4@@TinkerSofi This was definitely a fun part of the process. I love those heartfelt songs that make you feel things! I love the music from Sleeping at last. They have been featured in several episodes of Grey's Anatomy and I found that their music really makes you "feel" the episode. They did a few covers that I'm a huge fan of...here's one of them 500 Miles - sleeping at last (link above)
  6. Still recovering from my second degree burns - but I'm doing way better than I was last week. I decided to star tackling the little things on the to-do-list that I have been avoiding. The FI and I are so excited because we finally came up with the music for the ceremony. We are huge music fans and it's hard to pick tracks for such a special day that aren't too cheesy and commercial. We were avoiding any typical wedding songs. These are our choices: Pre-ceremony while guests arrive Sea of Love - Cat Power Us - Regina Spektor Amber- 311 Bridal party entrance Fools Rush In - Ingrid Michaelson Bride Grand Entrance Song for Zula - Phosphoresent Bride and Groom Grand Exit Home - Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros I'm missing a song for the signing of the papers but I will keep adding to this list. We were listening to our songs last night and totally felt rush and excitement.
  7. wow 50 days!!! Are you ready? My wedding is in june and I totally feel the pressure!!

  11. thanks ladies for the well wishes! Still healing but trying to do little things that will get me ahead. I'm going to write my wedding speech today so that will be a big check off my to do list. thank goodness for this forum....you guys cheered me up!
  12. @@acw271011 aww thanks so much for the useful information! That really helps. I'm taking it easy. The pain is starting to be a little bit more manageable. Back to bed.
  13. Wow, so I was super frustrated this week because I was totally out of commission with bronchitis. I missed the entire week from work. I'm still not really even better and in fact now i'm worse off. Yesterday, I was a genius and I decided to boil hot water and vicks to be able to breathe it in and relieve my congestion a little. I couldn't breathe and nothing was working. Well, probably because I was so weak, the pot of boiling water with vicks slipped out of my hands and landed on my tummy and legs. The FI rushed me from work to take me to the hospital. I have some nasty 2nd degree burns and so much pain and I'm so bummed out. I was already feeling so behind in my planning. ugh. Anyway, i just wanted to vent. Just a question to any brides that have already been married in the Mayan Riviera. Do you need a costco membership to shop at the costco in that area? Would the canadian membership be valid? Does anyone know if they have fresh flowers there? And has anyone sorted out where you can buy sparklers in that area? Walmart? Chedraui? Thanks! Totally frustrated.

It's starting to jog my memory, I think i remember recommending the fossil outlet. Everything was 50% - it was amazing! The Kate Spade outlet had the wristlets on sale for 40% off plus another 20% my favourite things! sales!!
  21. @calgarybride perfectly said. Sometimes when you wear an outfit that is very basic, like jeans and a shirt, you can really make a statement with a necklace! statement necklace!
  22. @@Wafflesmom Aww thanks! The cake topper is Kate Spade..i have a bit of a KS problem. hahaha The other option is place it at our headtable and for our pictures it will look cool to have it in between us.
  23. One of my bridesmaids had them made through a vendor on Etsy. The store name is somewhere in the back of the book. I can look it up and let you know. @
