  1. Thanks ladies. @@ASAtobe I get the appreciation for being your parents and helping get me where I am today They have lots if cute sentimental things you can get I think we will go that route.
  2. @@mellie818 thanks for the info. I sent you a email and I will check out creative bags. I have decided to make my own bouquets they have a good sale on at Michael's right now
  3. Does a one know a good place to buy wedding decor in ontario? Besides michaels crafts Looking for cake toppers, wedding signage, ring box ect. I love everything off etsy but shipping is expensive so looking for local first. Thanks !!
  4. Neither of our parents are helping at all with the wedding or the cost. Do we still get them a gift?
  5. Friends of ours did. It was a sandals they said it was amazing. Too pricy for us after paying for the wedding
  6. Bless the broken road by rascal flatts. It's been a song for us since the start and it's the song we first danced to. I get emotional listening to it, it feel like the right song
  7. Gran bahia principe coba, Mayan riveria Mexico Thinking of a western Caribbean cruise for honey moon , has anyone done a honey moon cruise? Sounds fun but I am also worried won't be relaxing enough. We have a baby and been planning wedding and I know our wedding week won't be very relaxing , should we do another all inclusive and really relax? I just like how we get to see so many places on a cruise , and food is delish and price is right .... Very undecided
  8. My fiancé brought up in conversation with someone the other day that I over heard about checking my dress.... I told him he was insane dress comes with me on board !! It was funny and cute at same time that he was concerned about my dress lol But I believe every airline allows it?
  9. We put all travel info on save the dates. With contact for the travel agent.
  10. Congratulations and happy planning @@Meandhim what resort are you going to in punta cana ?
  11. Congrats on the engagement! , I guess a deciding factor could be if you wanted to share your day with close family and friends or if you would mind not having them there. If you are doing a AHR or not. I agree with speaking with a travel agent about options and once you have decided reviews could help out as well. Everyone has opinions so it's really what is going to make you guys happy and make your day great. Jamaica is the easiest country to get married in , we are doing Mexico and you need blood work and to be in country 4 business days before you may get married unless you get married here first (that's what we are doing). So travel agent gave us all this information when we met with her. Both A and B sound great though:)
  12. At the very beginning of his thread it's posted there with all that other great info. Says it's 5 days or a 400 dollar fee.
  13. Great choices, misty rose was in the running for me at the start too, so nice. I agree mismatch gives it more character!!! I also like different style dresses too but same colour. Since we are ordering off etsy we can choose different straps we want On the dress , hopefully everyone will have a bit of their own character.
  14. Great story , love when people find love a second time seems like its so hard to find the first time! Truly amazing. I love the colour combination as well, it's going to look amazing for pictures.
  15. @@misbosox wow your bouquet is beautiful. I don't know if I am that talented lol Does it end up being cheaper doing them yourself?
  16. We are doing mint bridesmaids and mint ties for the groomsman. I have a colour pallet I am using for inspiration but mint is our main colour. pictures really look good with bright colours so I think we will do flowers in fushia and decorations a mix of fushia and purple http://design-seeds.com/palettes/FloraDew.png @@tygrrlily great colour selection, it's going to look great. What colour are your bridesmaids dresses?
  17. I am sorta having the same problem with mint. There are so many different shades of mint , some more green some more blue some brighter some more dull so it's been a challenge. What if you found a colour pallet with the blue and coral you are looking for then at least you have more options of shades of coral that match or another colour that looks good with coral and blue so when u pick your flowers at resort if they don't have the exact coral they may have a colour. On your pallet. I have a hard time figuring out what goes well together so I have a pallet of 6 colours that look great together so trying to work with those. Also micheals has tons of stuff I am from canada I hear hobby lobby is great though . http://design-seeds.com/palettes/FloraDew.png This is my pallet Not sure what ur blue looks like but I came across this one too http://www.indianweddingsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/impressionist-painting-palette-indian-wedding-color-inspiration.jpg
  18. Our guests are paying $1575 pp/dbl occ and 1860 pp/socc I wanted our guests to pay under 1500 per person. It was hard finding a resort within our price range. We went with gran Bahia principe Coba in Mayan Riveria jan 18-21 with air Canada vacations
  19. I think if they know the price of the trip then you can ask them then they can decide based on how much they have to pay. You could say you completely understand if they can't not pressure because you asked them to be in your wedding party. But asking them might make them excited and more wanting to go. We have had a couple people in our party that said they couldn't commit cause do school, work, babies ect so we are just waiting to see what our final numbers are. I had to turn down being a bridesmaid last year cause it was too close to my due date and she understood.
