Has anyone ordered dresses off etsy already and have a good seller with good quality dresses? I had a dress picked out was just waiting on getting the girls measurements. But there has been a couple bad reviews recently on the dresses being poorly made and not fitting ect. Makes me nervous ordering from her. But the dress is perfect colour and exactly what I want. I am going to check out davids bridal this week end see if they have a colour to match the men's ties we already bought and matched to the dress off etsy.... Confused on what to do :/

So we got married today at city hall, I thought it was just going to be paper signing but it was all the wording and legal stuff. We didn't say "I do " though. I wasn't expecting it at all, I cried and we got our first wedding picture !! Lol not sure how I am going to make it through the real wedding ceremony with out balling like a baby. They said to wait 4 weeks to apply for the long form marriage certificate. This is what I'll bring to Mexico. And I can wait till after Mexico wedding to change my name cause I don't want to apply for another passport. We are not telling people so our Mexico wedding is the real deal to them. It will be to us too as I'll have my dress on and we didn't do rings today so he left that part out. I am officially a married woman !!! Great to tell someone lol

You are not bridezilla! This is a big decision! the yellow, grey and hint of Aqua is a good idea I think it would look good, if the aqua is nice and bright won't look like Easter at all.

Try checking out the gran bahia principe coba thread has a lot of info on the resort, weddings, and what resort is best to choose akumal or coba. We did everything through travel agent so much easier.

We are going to do travel mugs with our wedding date and a saying on them for our guests to use for their drinks. Friends of our did that last year and they were great.

We have had a few complain about not doing a wedding here actually it was mostly my mother , she has never been away and expects me to get married in her back yard like she did ....ya...right. I did tell her it's my wedding and this is what we want and who ever doesn't like it , don't come !! Most of our guests are very excited and haven't stopped talking about it. We also got a good price 1500 for the week, I wanted it that way cause I know lots of our friends have new families and we would just love for them to make it. We plan on going someone more high end for honey moon. I think the wedding week we will be busy and won't be able to sit and relax much anyways more important for everyone to be there with us. We really only invited people we wanted there, that's kinda nice about destination you don't have to invite everyone and their mother and mothers mother ect. Many people have bridal showers even though they are doing a destination, some people even do jack and Jill's. Bridal shower is nice for family that can't make it to the wedding but can still celebrate with you.

Beautiful dresses ladies !!!

The invitations are kinda nice for a reminder and to actually put the official wedding date and not just the travel dates. We put the travel agents info on again and the date final payment was due. At least if people change their mind they have the info again.

Love the tequila idea lol our crowd could have some fun with that also lol I am worried about the salon hair I hear mixed reviews, makes me nervous. What wasn't great about it? I had mine done in Jamaica for a wedding and did amazing job I was surprised. Was hoping to get the same here Did you do a symbolic ceremony? How were the decoration selection, I guess that's what I am struggling with the most at this point, trying to get organized before the fall and order some things and get out if the way. Did you have many options for colours for your decorations ? Or was everything pretty basic? We were going to order Mrs and Mr signs for our chairs but in the restaurant can you even see something like that? We are having about 60 people renting an entire restaurant sounds better then we dont have to move after dinner I like how it's only one location......

@@MrsRoy that sucks. Maybe you should show him red and he will see how much nicer your yellows are? or meet in between somewhere.... Or just say um no , no red , yellow lol A friend of mine had grey and yellow in her summer wedding and it looked awesome

I think the dinner idea is cute. I think they would for sure get used there. I was going to tie a ribbon with Shake at the kiss label and our names and wedding date. People could always take them to the reception after and use them to dance as well that way you don't need one for every guest people can share. Just spread them out at the table settings. Cocktail party is a great idea to get speeches done ect. Then you don't have to waste dancing time at the reception *shake for the kiss

I was thinking of using them at dinner and using them as " Shake for a kiss" like people usually hit their glasses for here at home. I am worried that dinner being semi private this may not be allowed ? What will you use them for at the reception ? I know there are no tables really at reception. I also saw a bride use them to shake at the kiss after the ceremony.

The bridesmaid bouquets are 36 dollars at my resort so I decided I would make them myself. I am just doing hot pink gerber daisies as my BMs will be wearing mint. I really just want something colourful to stand out in pictures. @@acw271011 love that you incorporated something belong to your mother such a great idea. Your bouquet was beautiful.

@@Nybride525 oh you have great taste !! I am finding it easier to find items in the bright pink then in the exact mint I have so happy I chose a accent colour that's easy to match. I am making my own bridesmaid bouquets in the hot pink gerber daisy, I am not very crafty so hopefully it works out, this site is giving me some inspiration lol

Yes fake flowers I know on other resorts I am seeing they charge to use them so was wondering if this was the case for the bahia. Ok great thank you.
