I once stayed for 7 days on a resort then decided to stay for 10 and upgraded to a better room we just asked the front desk. since its a completely different resort i don't know how you would do that. defiantly a question for your travel agent

we were just going to do an app as well but then decided a DJ would be easier just to keeping things flowing. i am just afraid of things not going well with the app or the ipod and having to waste time dealing with it. Then we don't have to ask one of our guests to MC its done.

I also emailed the resort regarding not being able to have my ceremony at the hammock location a while back and she said I could have my ceremony there and my dinner and reception at coba so we will see.

So I just read through all 79 pages of this thread again. I am not dealing with anyone thus far as I haven't heard from a wedding coordinator. November is coming close for many of you ladies !!! Exciting, can't wait to hear about how amazing your day went. So communication with the resort is awful we are all learning but try to remember it's going to turn out great no matter what, doesn't matter what restaurant we eat at or timing for everything it will all work out and it will be amazing!!! Couple questions I didn't see on here, Do you still have to pay the judge fee if you have a symbolic wedding? Do you get a choice of djs when you book a DJ or does the resort just have the same one they use?

Candy in welcome bags sound good. The resort may even have something to put candy in maybe ask your WC?

My FI doesn't want to give the 4 people (friends of his parents) who booked through another travel agent leaving the day after us wedding favours. We will be handing them out at the airport but since they haven't booked with us and won't be there he doesn't think they should get one, so everyone in our wedding group but them will have one so I kinda think it's mean even though they are annoying for going with another agent, what does everyone think?

I am finding it really hard to have time for the gym with my 13 month old, my the end if the day I am exhausted from chasing her around !! I ran today while my FI was home to watch her and I almost died lol it's was so much easier before I had a baby. I tired to do some here at home but it's not the same as getting to the gym to do it. I really want to feel by best in my dress on my wedding day, any suggestions?

@@calgarybride2015 schedule sounds good. You could always do your photos first then head to the band and mingle with your guests that way heading to dinner late is better then heading to pictures late then you can relax unless the band is only there till 5? I haven't received anything from my resort. No restaurant choices no reception options no flower brochures nothing !!! I have relied on this site and my resorts forum for everything. If I didn't have this I would be in the dark. It's really annoying but hopefully I'll hear something soon

We are paying for everything ourselves. Since everyone is paying so much to come plus shopping before they go we don't expect anything. I am sure our parents will give us wedding gifts (money) and we will use that to pay for our honey moon.

@@Ellia123 I was afraid this was going to happen!! My photographer went to a wedding in Jamaica at the bahia there and this was the case , even though photographer was staying 7 days as a guest there was still a 900 fee. I agree it's completely insane !!! Pretty much forcing brides to use their photographers even if u don't like them on YOUR wedding day. So as of right now bahia in Mexico wasn't inforcing this new rule. I would print the email and bring with you stating that there was no fee and fight it if you need to. My photographer said the bride in Jamaica fought it and didn't have to pay. They also use tropic one photography. Nothing so far has been told to me about this fee in their wedding packages. We don't hear from them till 3 months before and by then most will have a photographer already booked as I do. I am really hoping this isn't a issue when I go. Good news is u have the first Email stating otherwise you can use as back up

@@calgarybride2015 wow your resort is way more prepared then mine, I haven't even heard back from the wedding coordinator yet. We have a 4pm ceremony booked and the date. As per my resorts forum we hear from them around the 3 month mark to pick out everything. But should be something like 4pm ceremony till 430 giving us a hour or so for pictures then dinner starts at 6-8 then the reception from 8-11 seems to be the pattern for every wedding at our resort. As for all the details I can't really do anything till I have confirmation of numbers this month for guests and hear from the resort about tables and restaurant choose ect. We have our dinner at one of he a la carts. So I am trying to be patient and wait and hope it will all fall into place. Lol Absolutely you can run it by me !! Love to hear it

@@Kerrierf thanks for the info ! I checked it out, good prices and nice mugs but yes quantities are so high , minimums of 150 to order won't work. I found 4imprint.ca and they send you free samples! Prices are reasonable so we see the quality when they arrive.

@@LeeanneMUA I am undecided on what I am doing for my hair. My MOH is going to do my makeup but I heard mixed reviews about the resort salon so I am torn. Another bride mentioned she was using besobride they come to ur room they have fb so you can check it out. They sent me their price list, More expensive then resort not by much but I don't know what the vendor fee will be? Hopefully someone on here knows cause I would like to know as well!! I agree you need to relax on your day, hopefully the vendor fee isn't too much the idea of someone coming to our room sounds more relaxing to me as well. Talk soon TL

Yes I am, sometimes I feel overwhelmed with all the info lol and since I haven't heard from my resort yet I am waiting till a bit closer to go through all the info again to refresh my memory thank you for the reply happy planning !!

i looked into besobrides and their prices were only a bit more then the resort and they come to your room but then you have to watch vendor fees..... i am really torn cause our resort had mixed reviews at the salon..
