yes i cant beleive it!!! coming so fast. ill have to ask my WC aswell didnt say anything about it when i filled out all my information. I am still waiting to hear back from the photographer about bringin my own down with me. its been weeks now so i am hoping i will not have issues when I get there. Planning is pretty much done few odd things here and there. how about you? hows planning going?

Also for the DJ does he have a good variety of music or should we bring our own for him to play?

Does anyone know a good bar location at the coba section? I am trying to plan welcome cocktails and need a name of a bar that we can all meet at. Thank you

did anyone do speeches at the semi private dinner in an a la cart? i just didnt want to have so much to do at the reception with first dances and cake cutting ect just have everyone party and get the speeches out of the way at dinner. My wedding cordinator said i could do this they just dont provide speakers or microphones. i am wondering if it too loud in the restaurant for that?

@@nicolesal I didn't even think of that happening. I guess of it did or does we would have to move wedding to Thursday. I would hope by now that won't happen that I have everything booked cause that would mess everything up. I didn't realize they don't do weddings on week ends? I think sun-sun or sat-sat is a good option if that's the case. We only did sun-sun cause it would make it easier for our guests getting time off work Sucks having wedding so late in the stay I think. I didn't want that another reason we got married here. I am excited for wedding but also excited for it to be done lol it's been a lot of planning and time consuming and thinking about it all the time it will be relieving to be able to relax and enjoy the last part of the trip as husband and wife

@@nicolesal you can fill out your wedding wishes and let them know about your request for the gazebo and restaurant . I only just received the wedding wishes less then 3 months in so it's good you have lots of time to complete it. There is a section about photography stating they have the right to refuse other photographers. Doesn't say anything about 1000 fee. So this is good. I feel if it wasn't written they can't do it. I did not receive a contract either. My photographer is staying 7 days as our guest and as far as I know there is no fee when they do this. Of they stay less then 5 days the fee is 400 as I have read on here. The resort has not informed me otherwise about anything. So I am hoping for he best I am also doing symbolic and arriving Sunday and not having wedding till Wednesday. I didn't really question it if you want earlier worth a try to ask. I also only had one dinner option. Kinda unfortunate cause I like so many things on the menu but oh well. I am sure no one will care. You are making very good progress so far in advance. I would look over the wedding wishes and fill it all out. That is pretty much the contract. it's everything you want then print it and bring it with you. Hope that helps a bit

That's the price list I received. And the tulum beach location pictures I am now doing my wedding at this location. I can let you know how is goes. Only thing I don't love about this location is the decorations seem weak. I tried to switch back to akumal beach but had to change my ceremony to 1pm that I didn't want to do . Thief shade aspect will be appreciative by my guests and I am hoping the shade will reduce squinting in photos. But not make shadows. I guess I'll see. Those prices include the minister fee.

Ok so I heard back from the resort and I guess that price doesn't included the minister fee. That is an additional 800 in something making it that price.

If it was me I would prob do 20-25 per hairstyle/makeup application. If your paying for the entire bill you could let them split it. Or of everyone is paying for their own they can tip individually after their service. But really it's whatever you can afford. They over price for their services so I am sure $10/per style would be fine also especially if you are paying for it all

Ok let me know what happens. I have forwarded the email I got from Linda in Aug asking why the change in prices. It's not just 100 dollar increase it's almost 600 bucks..... Looking back to the beginning of this thread the 2014 prices are close to the ones she recently gave me. Maybe the $1090 was a complete error on their part. I guess we will find out.

This was the manager of all the wedding coordinators. I haven't heard from my wedding coordinator at all it's suppose to be Maria. Yes I am planning on forwarding her the prices I received and see what she tells me then.

I got the same prices you did a while back as well. I questioned her on it and she said it was 2014 and this was the price for my wedding jan 2015. :/

Also seems the wedding package prices have increased. Anyone have this problem ? Unforgettable package coba and tulum is Legal $1840 symbolic $1665 Akumal Legal 1990 symbolic 1815 We are thinking of switching to the sunshine now. Seems only Difference are minor things not wedding related except flowers on bridal table Does everyone else have these same prices ?

Thanks everyone. I don't care if they all match doing gold or nude would work they must have a pair of at least one colour laying around. Finding summer shoes right now could be hard. It's so hard to picture everything in my head so it's great someone has seen a mix of flip flip and heels and it doesn't clash. I think I'll just let them chose then in the colours of my choice.

@@Maggietron in just spoke with one of the wedding coordinators and she told me hammock ceremony location you will also have people in bathing suits and that tulum location is more private. Just wanted to let you know cause you were worried about that. Not sure if anyone knows from experience if this is true.

i am having trouble deciding on shoes for my bridesmaids. we have short mint dresses and i have bought gold haviana flip flops as part of their gifts. i was thinking for the most part they could wear those as the ceremony is on the beach and for the reception who wants to dance in heels? but i have flip flops and mint heels that i found so i thought for some pictures and for dinner i would wear my heels so thought they could do the same wear cream heels. dresses look so much nicer in heels. one of my bridsmaids wants to wear heels. we also have limited luggage allowance and i dont want them to go buy heels just to wear for a couple hours..... and if only some wear heels and some flip flops for pictures i dont think it would look right.....ahhh i am confused lol please help

@@calgarybride2015 wow really? must be more money from Calgary then Toronto? We paid 1575/pp in Jan not too bad. It was impossible to find anything around 1300 we went through 2 different travel agents trying to get a price we wanted. @@HannahMarie that's awesome the got you the price just in time. its going to be amazing.

ohhhh really interesting. unfortunate about the price increase but I think you are still saving not having to pay an extra 35/pp? I hear akumal has lots of good options so I guess that's still a plus. and you got a good price too. wish we picked akumal instead of coba now!. oh well

says in the unforgettable package a room upgrade for bride and groom and parents. does this actually happen? I don't see anyone mention it on here. if you are travelling in December you will prob be winter 2015/16 prices I would assume it would be 35 dollars like the 2014/15 winter package. I wonder if it less busy in the summer so they don't charge extra?

@@Ellia123 did you have to pay full price for the trial hair? did you have to pay a judge fee with the symbolic wedding?

sounds like you had a blast. glad everything worked out. i am staying at coba as well and very disappointed about change in akumal. so if akumal is exclusive then where do coba guests use the beach? @@Ellia123
