  1. This is the other way I've decided to try to trim costs.. our wedding package includes my bouquet, 2 bouquets for bridesmaids, FI's boutonniere, 2 groomsmen's boutonnieres, and an arrangement for the altar that I'm going to reuse at our sweetheart table. I figure since we can't take flowers home, why not spend money else where. I'm going to decorate with some other centerpiece (haven't figured out yet) and do something special for the moms... I've found things on etsy such as necklaces or a seashell wrist corsage. What kind of flowers are you thinking about having?
  2. @@kcole123 - Which mugs did you order? I was thinking about getting ours from there. Have you received everything and put your stickers on yet? I'd love to see pictures And oh my goodness! You're right! Wow 9 months...
  3. @@kcole123 - I think that sounds perfect! Take a deep breath, we will both have beautiful, memorable weddings on April 17th! (I'm saying this for yours and my sanity )
  4. @@kcole123 - I felt, and still sometimes do feel this way. I decided to not have wedding programs or dinner menus to cut cost. In our wedding invitation, I provided the wedding day itinerary. This will also be available on our wedding website. As far as gifts, I think we are going to do some kind of drink cup... inside it I will put an spf chapstick (I have found VERY inexpensive customized ones), a packet of tylenol or something of that sort, and a little thank you note. Because honestly, most people pack a beach bag, sunblock, aloe etc when they travel to a vacation on a beach, and while it is a nice gesture, that becomes very pricey on us (the brides and grooms).
  5. @@Knbertalot - You can bring your own decor, but the resort charges you a set-up fee if they do it for you. @@MandM2014 - I've hardly seen men wear jeans at any resort we've stayed at in Mexico... Maybe email the resort and ask them? But, since they didn't specify material, I suppose any long pant would be fine. @@ErickaLackey - The budget planner says how much each type of rehearsal dinner/welcome cocktail hour would cost per person. However, I have read about a loophole - if you and a group shows up during a slow hour, the restaurant will push tables together for you.
  6. @@MandM2014 - http://www.dreamsresorts.com/riviera-cancun/gourmet-dining on the right side under each restaurant pic is a button for hours and dress code
  7. I would check with the resort about that - I know we can hire outside photographers for $300. Also, I think they have details about hiring other vendors in the confirmation letter. We are having 60+ people at our wedding, so I think that's why we could have it on the deck. Which email do you need? I'm trying to bring as few extra things as possible.. I don't want to travel with several bags, just to end up getting rid of a lot of it there after the wedding.
  8. @@jeffandrobyn - You can also make changes to the template, if you'd like. I am getting ready to send my design to them. I'll post pictures once I receive them. When and where are you getting married?
  9. I think we are just going to dance on the deck (wooden)... I don't really like the look of the dance floor and again, (call me cheap) I'd rather spend our money elsewhere
  10. Wait, you did or did not receive the email? I think we are going to rent the equipment and just have music play off a device.. I haven't read the greatest things about the DJ...and I'd rather spend my money some other way.
  11. Ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour at the jacuzzi (that's what they assigned to me...but I'm going to see if I can change it because I really like the swings, too. Was it an extra fee to do that?), and reception at the deck.
  12. I emailed David yesterday, so hopefully in a few days I'll have it... then I'll share it with you. We are doing the Ultimate package. Have you received your confirmation letter? I see you're having your ceremony at the gazebo, where are you having everything else?
  13. @@edeaton - the links catalog that David sent me no longer works... do you have the recent one that I can see?
  14. @@jeffandrobyn - I purchased a template from http://weddingpassports.com/ for $25.00.... I am also going to have them print and assemble them... but you don't have to. They provide step-by-step instructions. Check them out.
  15. @@Bridetobe771 - Are you able to post a picture of yours? @@kcole123 - I am impressed! Seriously. I think that is gorgeous!!!
  16. @@MandM2014 - The complimentary pckg includes a symbolic ceremony. http://www.dreamsresorts.com/riviera-cancun/weddings/packages Chairs are also provided, up to 10 guests. Check your personal messages
