  1. @@jeffandrobyn - Here are our invitations! I finalized the design and received my invoice Friday, and by Monday afternoon they were delivered!
  2. From the album: Passport Invitations & Boarding Pass Reply Cards

  4. We did evites as well! I loved doing it because it allowed me to spend more on our passport invites.
  5. I remember corresponding with David about this. One of the Dreams Resorts is being renovated, but not Dreams Riviera Cancun.
  6. @@Sara1603 - I read the reviews that brides had made about the resort and sent them a personal message on here.
  7. i am hoping that we can bring our own sparklers... i found a website where you can buy a pack of 10 for $1.00, and they are made differently than the ones you use during 4th of july etc... they are specifically for wedding photos - the way they burn, etc. my resort charges $2.00/sparkler!!! sad day! http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/prohibited-items
  8. @@Sara1603 - I was actually reallllly close to booking GSP, but changed my mind for personal reasons. Anyway, through this forum, I messaged a few brides who go married there and they RAVED about it! In fact, they shared stories, details, and photos with me! Try messaging some of them!
  9. My FI makes fun of me about being on this forum a lot, too. BUUUUUT, for one thing, my mother is all the way in Hawaii and my sister is in North Carolina...so who else is going to share with me and help me with my wedding planning anxiety..and bounce ideas off of? Secondly, what else does he want me to do with my time? As a nurse at a giant hospital, we only do 12-hour shifts, three days a week...and I don't want to be scrambling around the last few weeks before the wedding trying to plan things! It's nice to find that your feelings and emotions are shared..even with people you don't really know. And, if I feel like our wedding planning experience, in general, is different than those who are planning or have planned a local wedding. So, YAY! for friends on BDW!!!
  10. I found this website.. If only you could change the color of the flowers http://www.links2love.com/weddings/build_your_bouquet.htm
  11. @@Sabes44 - I like that idea - having photos at the courthouse. We are getting married before our "wedding" in Mexico (shhh...), and are going to recognize that date as our wedding day, but it would be nice to have a few photos of us making it official as well.
  12. @@kmk2016 - I love the one on the right! It looks like it has roses, poppies, and gerbera daisies? I don't know my flowers....
  13. I'd love to see some coral flower options, as well.... I love flowers, but have no idea what I'd like to have...
  14. So, after my suggestion, I just had a mini-freak out as well. I did a quick total on our wedding so far.. oh my goodness.. that's all I am going to say about that. But, with that being said, I guess I still have plenty of time to find alternatives to save a little $$. I just need to remember, we are getting married and it will be beautiful no matter what. And, no one is going to remember the napkins or overlays. *Ok, I think I am done trying to be a cheerleader for myself* lol
  15. From what I understand, that is kind of how it goes anywhere because resorts have a wedding, or a few, almost daily. They email you a budget planner (this is an interactive excel sheet with prices for everything), a catalog (photos of cakes, bouquets, decor, etc), and a few other things that I can't recall. I actually requested all of this information from David (with wedding reservations) before signing my contract - I wanted to make sure this was the best resort for us and our style and vision. I would also suggest working with a travel agent. They can give you advice and first-hand experience about the resorts and locations (they have usually been to almost every resort). They can also give insight on their experience working with the resort and WCs from their end, and from their other clients' experiences. I hope this helps.
  16. The wedding coordinator usually doesn't have much contact with brides until 3 mos before the wedding. I can't speak to having issues because my wedding is still too far out. David, with Wedding Reservations, is pretty quick with replies.... but, if your gut tells you to look elsewhere, go for it.
