Videography comes with our package...but if it didn't, I wouldn't pay for it. I'm quite sure we'll never watch it. I prefer photos where I can display them throughout our home.

@@linaco80 - Make etsy.com and pinterest your best friend! There are a ton of ideas on there! My fiance's family is from Spain and Mexico... wedding traditions are quite different there.. soooo some of these gift ideas are going to be strange to them. Jake said we were going to have to explain the sand ceremony to them...

Wedding Favors And Oot Bags?
pddcmc replied to pddcmc's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
@@linaco80 - I don't want to pay the delivery fee ($3.00/delivery!!!) so I think we'll meet up with people and give them their Bubba Jugs. My idea is to stuff the jugs and attach a note to them with cute ribbon. I think we are going to do both because the jugs they can use the whole time and the shot glasses can double as a place card As far as the favors, I think we'll get shot glasses with their names on them and do something like this: -
Wedding Favors And Oot Bags?
pddcmc replied to pddcmc's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
OOT bag - Out of town bag They usually have little knick knacks in them... it seems like a lot of brides put things like chapstick, immodium, advil, aloe, etc in them. And some brides even add fun things like crosswords, sunglasses, english to spanish phrases I think we want to do 34-oz jugs in our colors. @@linaco80 - OOT bag - Out of town bag They usually have little knick knacks in them... it seems like a lot of brides put things like chapstick, immodium, advil, aloe, etc in them. Wedding Favors And Oot Bags?
pddcmc replied to pddcmc's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I think we've decided to do both.. but, for the OOT bag we aren't even going to use bags. I felt like we had two options for the bag part... either purchase bags that are disposable or purchase bags they can reuse. Well, the disposable ones would end up being a waste of money because well, they get thrown away...and I can't just throw money away (especially since we are having 50+ guests). As for the reusable bags, it seems like many people usually bring a beach bag. So, I'd rather save a little money there. We are going the Bubba route.. soooo I think we'll fill the Bubba with gifts and tie a little welcome note to the handle. For favors, I think we'll do something like a tequila glass with their name on it - AND - that can double as their place card. (I got the idea from a picture that Del Sol Photography had posted) We are waiting until December-ish to start purchasing all of these items because that's when we requested guests return reply cards by. Does this make us sound like we are being cheap and/or not thoughtful and appreciative of our guests traveling to our wedding? -
Wedding Favors And Oot Bags?

@@MJTK - the clothes pins are a great idea! I had actually never seen or heard of boca clips until your post. What a great idea! -
December 2013 - Engaged! January - February 2014 - Trying to decide what kind of wedding we'd like to have March - Spoke with our Travel Agent & started looking into resorts and wedding packages April - Decided on Dreams Riviera Cancun & received confirmation letter for wedding date and package! - Choose wedding colors - Dress shopping April-May - Researched & Emailed photographers May - Booked Del Sol Photography! - Found my "something blue" (https://www.etsy.com/listing/119071866/something-blue-personalized-wedding?ref=sr_gallery_5&ga_search_query=something+blue+wedding+dress+label&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery) June - Sent out Save the Dates (we did an evite Save the Date to save a little money so we could upgrade formal invitations) - Decided on Passport Invitations & Boarding Pass postcard Reply Cards (http://weddingpassports.com/)! - Returned to dress shop to try on the two dresses I could't get out of my head... and said "Yes to the Dress!" Private Collection 18929 (ivory) July - Asked my sister and bestie to be my Matrons of Honor - Mailed invitations & reply cards - Ordered & received my barefoot sandals ....Now just waiting for the RSVPs to come in (guests have until December 30, 2014). We asked that guests book through our TA, as this will be their official RSVP (this request was included in our passport initiation). I figure this would be less stress on us, or I hope it will be. Once we have the official number, I will start ordering OOT bags/favors. My wedding dress should come in around November. So, unfortunately, there isn't too much to be done between now and January because I won't receive a WC until 3 months out (that's how our resort handles weddings, and frankly, I think that is a great idea - for their sanity and having to work with brides daily). I think we are going to use the in-house photographer for our TTD session, so I will book that when everything else once we have our WC.

Help Me Figure Out What To Do Next, Please
pddcmc replied to pddcmc's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I am having 2 matrons of honor (I don't want a big bridal party) and 2 best men. As far as their attire, I am letting the MOH decided what they want to wear.. just to make it easier on them. I did give them the color scheme. Pretty much everything is included in my package. I have started looking at ideas for centerpieces, etc, but I won't have my wedding coordinator for another 5 months so I can't make any official decisions. Oh, and we have a photographer! That was the first thing we did after booking the resort. -
@@AmberDragon - We feel the same way. It is an all-inclusive resort, so why pay extra just for a private party? Plus, we invite/encourage guests to explore the city and activities, as well. You know,...take full advantage of the trip. We'll tell people, hey we're having a meal at ___, feel free to join us.
