Yes, you should be able to! We chose a hotel that was more expensive, so this was something we wanted to do. We told our guests about it already and adding it to our "booking" page as an incentive to get people to book with our group

We get one free every 11th adult booked (Max 3), and free private events if over 75 room nights - We're at 117 room nights now , She's working on getting us an upgrade in flight right now We're distributing the free adult to make everyone's rate lower

Beautiful pictures and wedding!! I really love your hair and makeup, and I'm going to reference them when I have my appointment with Styling Trio What wedding dress you are wearing out of curiousity? It's gorgeous - mine is pretty similar, and I totally would have tried this one on too. Is reminds me of Enzoani's Harika?

Hair & Make Up Cancun Area
tygrrlily replied to mark82's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
@@nehaanjaria - You look stunning!! I'm very glad I'm going with Styling Trio. I'm thinking of doing something very similar with my hair. did it hold up okay? -
@shan0487@shmanderz - Thank you ladies! My off site is completely useless. I can't wait til we get our onsite coordinator. I am going to wait for most things, but I also want to start getting things organized/together. So I think I'm just going to plan with the assuming that they have them, and then rent there if we need to My coordinator also seems to be pushing Gupo Grama to me a lot more, and they quoted me 2k for that complimentary white set up that other people received :S. Told her to go back to Zuniga and to ask them

Are you paying for your bridesmaides dresses
tygrrlily replied to seandy's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I bought my bridesmaid dresses as well. Couldn't imagine asking them to shell out more after already asking them to pay for the trip. I've had to pay for my own dress 2 times and had it bought for me 2 times. It was something we made sure to budget for, and I bought dresses on sale and wasn't crazy particular about style (got j crew chiffon dresses for around $80 each) -
@@shmanderz - Sorry, another question. My coordinator is saying they only will provide round tables, but I've seen a lot of people here use the long rectangular tables, and that's what they said on our site visit here. Just wanted to dbl check to see if you had paid extra for those or if they were supplied. Thanks!

worried about low attendance for our wedding
tygrrlily replied to BethandBill's topic in Brides Roll Call
@@MissJen3 - It is definitely emotionally intense. My best friend/MOH got pregnant and probably will not be coming anymore because she'll be around 8 months. I was shattered, and I'm still not quite over it, to be honest. It's true that obviously our weddings aren't going to be other people's priority, but you do hope that the people you cherish would be there for you. I have a friend who is probably getting engaged this year, and I actually told her NOT to have a DW unless she is 100% okay with having a small wedding and not having key people there. We had sooo many people encourage us to have a DW, and now it's just excuse after excuse and it's like why didn't you tell us this to begin with when we asked?? On the PLUS side of course, a DW means an amazing wedding week filled with memories! And you will definitely cherish the people that do end up coming. I am very much looking forward to our wedding now, and the bridal parties don't add up and I just have 1 attendant now, but we will make the best of it -

Wedding Venue In Toronto
tygrrlily replied to MonicaPark's topic in Canadian Destination Wedding Group
What type of venue are you interested in and what is your budget? Do you want the typical banquet hall style, or something different? I have a bias toward locations set in the city, and have been to and enjoyed weddings at Berkley Church, Sunnybrook Estates, Graydon Hall Manor, Arcadian Court Others: the Carlu, Steamwhistle, Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery, the Atlantis, Liberty Grand, One King West, etc. If you send me your email, I can send you the spreadsheet i made of Toronto venues that are a bit different (art galleries, etc.). The details/information might be different as we were pricing out for the winter months, but it will give you an idea of venues to look at it. We were specifically looking for things in the city (not suburbs) and not the typical banquet hall style- 3 replies

I ordered some Real touch ones from Bloom Bridal. She gets really good reviews and the flowers are gorgeous, but she's kind of pricey. I don't have a good eye for flower arranging though, so I figured it'd be worth it. The flowers actually at the resort cost a lot more too (bridal bouquets are like $300 for the nice ones :s), and I was worried they'd wilt. I also ordered corsages, boutineieres and hair flowers from her http://www.bloombridal.com/

@@kcole123 - Ah, that sucks! I I definitely get not wanting to spend a lot on them. Did you ask to see if they had more in stock, or would order more? Or do you ever go to Calgary? We're lucky here in Toronto there are a ton of dollaramas. I could get them for you and mail them, but the shipping might be astronomical

worried about low attendance for our wedding
tygrrlily replied to BethandBill's topic in Brides Roll Call
This really bothered us for a few months. So much so that it actually made me not look forward to our wedding, and we were starting to think about an AHR, etc. I didn't want to talk about the wedding to people (minus this forum haha) and I found myself even resenting people that weren't coming that had promised they would. I'm still a bit sad about some people, but I am trying to get over it. I do feel like some relationships/friendships have shifted because of it though Now though we're 5 months away, and I am happy to say that the excitement is slowly coming back as I start on OOT bags and decorations. I'm focusing on the people that are coming, and as so many mentioned before, feeling very blessed that they have chosen to come with us. We invited about 120 people and we think we'll have about 40 as our final count. I think the wedding will be a blast, and I'm trying to do as much as I can to make sure everyone that comes along to Cancun with us has the best time ever so we all come back home tanned, happy and hungover (haha) and rub it in everyone else's faces that decided not to come! -
@@kcole123 - I went to another dollar tree in Toronto and they had none at all! So looks like they're starting to sell out at some places BUT they have them at dollarama for $2 each! I grabbed 18 at one and am going to drive to another dollarama now to get the remaining ones. They feel a bit thicker than the dollar tree ones too but that might just be in my head haha
-
@@shelikespink - I was wondering about this too. Would love to get a churro or taco cart, but don't see how logistically it'd work out. Have you tried your coordinator yet? I will ask mine if she ever replies :s I know the resorts have 24 hour room service so they might be able to provide something from the snack menu

I would send out invites if I were you. Like kmk2016 said, you can use it as a pre-information mailer. So you don't have to necessarily have the whole "request your presence" stuff but you can definitely still have a page with all of the wedding information on it. We didn't bother with STDs, but just sent our invite out to everyone in April/May (100 invites or so). We are planning on sending out passport books with information to the people that have booked in October right after final payments are due. We have all of our wedding and event information info on our website, but we have some older guests coming that aren't as familiar with computers so we want to make sure everyone is on top of things. It'll also be a good way to raise excitement about the trip I bought the template from Aylee too but I suck at DIY stuff haha. And the thought of putting together and printing all of the passports is a bit daunting to me, so I might just end up ordering them since we'll probably only need about 25 or so. Or if we do budget here, I might just send out a newsletter with all of the information. I want send luggage tags at this point too

Pinterest Is My New Bff!
tygrrlily replied to MrsRoy's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Alright ladies, I'm finally getting onto Pinterest because I can't organize all of my pics anymore! I thought I wanted bright tropical pinks and oranges, but now I'm falling in love with black and white stripes with shades of pink and gold. Found some beautiful pics on Pinterest, and I think it'd look nice with our reception venue. The theme would be a lot more glam/elegant than what I originally intended, but I do love it. Do you think this would work in an outdoor setting? I'm thinking rectangular tables, white table cloths with black and white striped runners, then still having the really bright pink/coral/orange flowers and centerpieces. Gold accents with candles, chargers and Chiavari chairs if my FI will spring for them haha. And head or cake table will have a sequin gold table cloth http://www.pinterest.com/tygrr_lily/ -
@@kcole123 - Kristy, you are doing awesome! How are you finding the process? Is the counting difficult? Do you find you get hungry, or are you satisfied?

@@kokobellaa - Right now we're at about 40 guests, so we're either going to take the cake as is, or maybe upgrade and get 1 more tier for pics. I know people have raved about the tres leches cake in the past, but I thought that was through the resort and not Zuniga Would you mind sending me the Zuniga catalog with the cake options? I emailed them last week and have yet to hear back about anything (and our wedding coordinator!). Also if you have anything from them with centerpiece options Thank you!!
