  1. Thanks for all your input @@calgarybride2015. I total get the excursion thing and not wanting to do it because it's outside the wedding day, I just added that in there as an example of the fuss of them not wanting to be part of anything...lol I am a little bit calmer today because my sister told me to stop stressing over the things I have no control over. I can't force or expect people to do things and they will do it if/when they want to ex: appointment times for hair etc. My intention is to not let anyone ruin the week I have there with friends and family. Right now though I guess with everything on my plate and like his sister (another sister and not the one standing) just randomly texts me yesterday no hello or nothing just "you know what's really stressful? trying to find a dress for your wedding." I was fuming at this point and felt like texting back "not my problem, your fault for not looking around, like you found out about this wedding like almost 2 years ago, you didn't come across any summer dresses in that time?" Like really.....lol OH my the stuff we have to deal with.
  2. Like seriously what would we do without each other. I have been stuck for songs and you are saving my day, week, month. Hahaha thank you for your list of songs.
  3. Thanks @@calgarybride2015 Sorry for the vent, it just feels very stressful being away from family and friends and planning and coordinating with not much help. And there isn't mich that anyone can do really being so far away. I thought a destination wedding would be less stressful but I don't think so at all. These past two months have been Ampt up with appointments, emails, verifications, payments. It's just much more busier now that's it's getting closer. My family and friends have helped somewhat with what they could but the other side didn't offer any help either which I find offends me just a little. Anyway on a positive note, I brought my second dress in today for alterations and she will call me next week sometime to come in and try it on and have at look at what she has done so far to see if anything else is needed. Was so happy that turned out good. Oh I should update on my eyelash extensions, love them. I have to say I thought I would find them heavy, that I would notice that something was weighing on my kids but not the case at all. Doesn't even bother me and what a world of difference having some lashes makes. It's a shame that they are such high maintenance because if they weren't i would def. do it all the time. But I am just getting one more fill before the wedding and then I will just not continue. It's going to look strange going back to my old dull lashes but I just wouldn't be able to maintain eye lash extensions. It's going to be so nice to have them on for the film week I am down south and not have to worry about mascara though. I would recommend any bride get these especially for a destination wedding. Hahaha sorry I noticed I said there weighing on my kids, I meant lids hahahaha
  4. For the people out there that got married and brought your kids, how did you do this for the wedding night? Did you have someone else watch your kids in your group, pay for a babysitter?
  5. Yeah I totally get what you are saying. I mentioned it to her but she said that she can't pick any other time and that's the only time she can do because she has to get her son ready. She has a boyfriend (which is not the boys father) so I totally get probably not asking him considering they aren't together that long. But I am sure someone can help her out. But she probably doesn't want to ask either. I just feel like the sister or his side of the family doesn't want to be a part of anything. They are just going for a family reunion and losing sight of the fact that for one day there is a wedding.
  6. Ok so I don't know if I am having bridezilla moments or if people just want to drive me crazy. You tell me. God, where do I start with this. I have so much anger now I can't even type. Anyway you probably all know, and seen me vent about this before, that we chose a kid friendly resort because that's what my fiancés parents thought was best and they got a little sooky over the fact we were even considering an adult only resort. So what did we do? Chose a kid friendly resort. PLEASE PEOPLE WITH KIDS DON"T BE OFFENDED BY MY POST HERE TODAY Anyway, we also decided to do ziplining two days before the wedding. We asked everyone to see if they would be interested. I figure this would be our stag/stagette kind of thing since we aren't having one before we go and then we can separate after the fact. Ok so my fiancés sisters can't go because of the kids. (One of his sisters is standing btw). Why can't the mother watch them (it's been done before). And the mother isn't going. Anyway, something else, we have La Barcaza booked for our reception from 5-8 like I have stated already in this thread. I would like to extend it for another hour just because a lot of brides said by the time you do cutting of cake, eat, and first dances it goes by pretty quick. A lot of people I have seen on forum's and Facebook groups have said this. Anyway mentioned it to the fiancé, he loves the idea of the boat, but thinks extending it is not a good idea just because of his mother probably not wanting to be out there too long and because of the kids needing to go back and get to bed. When I spoke to his mother months back I mentioned that there is an option to extend the boat if we wanted. And she said "well I don't know if that's a good idea with the kids being there and all." Also, Something else that happened today. Krystie Ann is who I have for hair and makeup so she emailed me today with the timelines of that morning. She has me slotted in for the time and left all other spaces empty. She also put had helpful tips in the email so I forwarded it to the girls in the bridal party (fiancés sister is one like I mentioned). She emailed back right away and said I will pick the later time next to you. She said "make a mental note of that because you know I won't be there any earlier than that." Like seriously? So I wrote her back and said "you guys can figure that out amongst yourself when you get there." She emailed back "well I don't think I will be there any earlier just because I have to get my son ready. Like I don't have kids but couldn't she go to the earliest appointment and then get her son ready after she is done. So she obviously isn't going to be there with us while we all get ready. She is just coming long enough, by the sounds of it, to get her hair brushed and go on again. Like seriously girls, do some of you feel like planning this wedding has been to make it other peoples day? Why do it feel like it's not only mine and my fiancé's day. Like what do you do? Do you accommodate around the kids? Like am I being crazy? URGH I just had to vent and need feedback because if my hands shake anymore than they are I will need a cast to keep them still. I am at work right now and don't even want to work because I am so angry.
  7. @@marinah84 Love the pictures. Looks like everything came together so nicely and you it seems you had such a great time. I know what you mean about spending time with guests. I can imagine that will be tough for us as well especially only being there a week. Great though that everyone including yourselves had such a great time. Destination weddings are certainly the way to go.
  8. @@beckys98 Not as far away as you think. It creeps up pretty fast. I find the last 2 months are a head spin. This month started off with appointments booked, dress fittings. And I still have lots of appointments booked it seems. I bring my second dress in tomorrow to start on alterations so I can imagine I will end up there a couple more times to see if everything is ok with it. It seems to never end but I honestly am loving it...lol aside from a couple stresses I had along the way.
  9. @@pddcmc This Friday or Monday? you must be getting so excited now too. More and more gets marked off that list everyday.
  10. Well my mom has the raffia fans completed. When I ordered them I used her mailing address so they would be directly shipped to her because she agreed to bring them down for me. One less thing I have to carry down there. So I asked if she could pick up some ribbon and just decorate it how she thought would be ok. I wasn't very particular with these fans at all. She had the thought of picking up coral ribbon for the girls and grey ribbon for the guys (because my colors are coral, grey, and ivory). I don't think they turned out too bad at all. I probably would have done them differently but no biggie. They are good enough for fans.
  11. Girls, I honestly cannot wait. I hate wishing my time away but I cannot wait to board that plane. 13 days till the legal ceremony 20 days we leave for Punta Cana 24 days until our wedding. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek can you sense the excitement...haha
  12. I have a nail appointment booked on April 8th and I leave the 13th. Maybe it's too long before? I never get my nails done but wanted to for pictures and so they would look better than they do now. My god come to think of it I am all fake for this wedding...hahaha But a bride has to look gorge. on her wedding day. Congratulations on making it official. Must be so exciting to be a Mrs. now.
  13. https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/misdress Here is the shop link. Nothing is displaying up there right now because maybe it's because she is taking a short break? Have a look though just in case or check back when she returns. Let me know what you think when you check it out. I will definitely shop from this seller again for any other special occasion because she is phenomenal at what she does and you can't go wrong with the price. Hell if I had of known about her before I probably would have bought a lace dress from her too.
  14. @@pddcmc Thanks for sharing that. I may have to steal some. I am having trouble in this area cause I can never think of any songs when I want to. This was Nathan's job but he hasn't started yet so I am writing songs down on the side and then when it comes time for him to do it then I will just hand him what I have and ask him to add it....hahahaha Gotta be sneaky.
  15. @ The quality is phenomenal for what you are paying that's for sure. It actually looks and feels like I paid more than I did. You will not be disappointed. Like I said don't leave it too late to order because the shipment date she was not accurate on when I first placed the order, she ended up changing it and then I panicked wondering if It would get here in time. She assured me I wouldn't have any problems receiving it on time. But I did worry just in case it didn't fit and then I would have to get it altered. But if you are worried about that, I would definitely order at the least 2 months out from your wedding.
  16. @@Meandhim Nice hey? I odered the dress Feb 8th and recieved it yesterday, March 23rd. It was supposed to get here sooner but it still didn't take long just make sure to give yourself enough time. I took a chance on ordering when I did especially having lost some weight since I ordered it and I now have to get it taken in. I have to say the quality of this dress seems like it would cost more than what I paid. I would definite recommend Her shop.
  17. Yup that's it. It says the shop is currently on vacation don't known if that makes a difference or not. But it's just with one s is miss. So it's @misdress misdress Here are both of my dresses side by side. I honestly am so excited and cannot to wear both of them. I was talking to my mom tonight and said "I can't wait to get my pictures back and I am not even there yet." Hahahaha talk about wishing my time away.
  18. Yes check out that seeker and let me know what you think @@Meandhim @@Wafflesmom
  19. Hahaha girls I actually think dress looks better on me than the other one. And I spent a lot more on the other dress than this one. I almost feel kind of bad in a way that I picked a dress that I wanted and not what looked best on me. But I wanted a lace dress from the beginning and it's what I got. Now I guess you could say I have two dresses that I love. It doesn't have to be taken in a whole lot I don't think. Definitely the bust and the waist and I think it may need to be hemmed a bit. I have an appointment with the seamstress on Wednesday after work.
  20. Don't mind at all girl. I would like this info too cause guess what? I think I will be on mine too on my wedding day or at least during that week.
  21. OMG OMG I got my dress and I love it. I should have shopped on this store on Etsy before I bought my ceremony dress. This is an awesome trash the dress though. It needs to be taken in that's why I sm holding it in the back. This dress is gorgeous in person.
