Thanks very much. I left a couple things out I noticed after but there wasn't much I can do about that once they were done. Oh well it is what it is now and I still like them anyway. Most people probably won't even keep them except for my parents and my FI parents....lol oh well it's the first impression of our wedding haha

@@pddcmc I am having coral and ivory. Just something simple with the coral. Thanks about the invites. She did an awesome job with them. I sent them all in the mail on Monday and I can't wait for people to get them. I have messaged you her contact info.

I will be going over about an hour and would have to pay the photographer for an extra hour 1:00 - 2:00 Getting Ready 2:00 - 2:30 Ceremony 3:30 - 4:30 Cocktail Hour/Pictures 5:00 - 8:00 Dinner/Reception on La Barcaza Wedding Boat. I don't know what happens after this. I may end up either extending the boat or everyone go to the disco at the hotel. (Not sure if there is even a disco there). I guess I should check that out.

You can add something like this to all the invitations. That way the message gets across to those who can't attend. Sorry wrong attachment

HI, Welcome to this site. I am getting married in Punta Cana April 17, 2015. We chose the Melia Caribe Tropical. Reason being is because it has an adult only section as well, which is what my fiancé and myself wanted. We first looked into Adults only and came to realize that some family members couldn't go if they couldn't take their kids with them. So we tried to make everyone happy by going to a family friendly resort and then my FI and I can get what we want by having an adult only section. So if that's kind of what you are looking for you can look at this hotel. The grounds look very beautiful as well. Check it out on trip advisor and perhaps add it to your list of resorts to research. When I go online it seems they don't have many dresses in there. Am I looking in the wrong spot? Is there a part of their website I am missing?

hahaha @@pddcmc I can totally relate. My FI says the same thing. I tell him what's been done and he just goes along with it. He basically will show up and eat and drink and say I do. It would be nice to have a little say but he butts in there every now and again and gives an opinion. My name is Kristy btw haha

I get the same way a lot of times. I have a certain dress in my mind that I would like but when it comes to trying that certain dress on I think maybe it won't look right on me. Then I have to try to find one that do. I get disappointed like that too when something I had envisioned don't exactly go as planned. So @@pddcmc what have you got done so far in regards to planning your DW? resort is picked I see? did you lock down rates with an airline/travel agent? Have you sent out save the dates/invitations yet? Have you spoken with a coordinator on site?

good question because I would like to know this too. My wedding is April 17/15 so I was wondering when I should be contacting them or they contacting me for all the details? it's probably too early yet?

I just hope someone will be there to give some assistance anyway. I hope I find something there. The first time I was at David's Bridal was this past weekend just looking around (they were too busy so I had to book an appointment for a later date). It looks like they have a lot of dresses so I am hoping I find something here.

@@pddcmc yeah I didn't like the idea of the spanx. I find it soooo uncomfortable and I don't want it to be that uncomfortable for me. We will surely find something and no spanx will be needed.

wow @@kellisbaby you were quick to find something. I went to some shops but they all seemed pretty small and I tried on dresses that I would have never have picked from a book or something but considering how everyone was telling me to keep an open mind, that's what I did. Still no luck yet but I feel I will find something soon. I still have tons of time and I am glad I am looking now.
