    HI Ladies, I was looking to book Krystie Ann and her team for my wedding for hair and makeup. I am still waiting back from her to see if she is available for April 17, 2015. Hopefully she will be. I decided to start this topic just to get some ideas, comments, or overall reviews. Have any of you brides, past or present, used her at all? if so, do you have any idea of what her pricing is like?

    HI @@Make2dayAmazing, Did you go with the resort hair and makeup or are you getting an outside person to do this. I think the resort charges a fee to bring an outside person in. I am not sure how much but I think it's like $75 or something. Wedding planning is going good. I have the photographer booked too (HDC) and I have the wedding boat booked for reception. Not too sure what is left to do besides hair and makeup. I don't know if all other things I can wait on or if I have to do everything now. I am still like 11 months out. Invitations are gone out too. The deposits for the guests for the all inclusive isn't due until July 4th. I was thinking I should wait until then to determine other things like welcome dinner and stuff so that way I would have more firm numbers of who would be going.

    Hi @@BeatriceTesoro I am also going with an outside photographer (HDC) and I too found the price outrageous but I really wanted the HDC and they are a good price for what you get as opposed to going with the resort photographer. I am getting married at Melia but having my reception on La Barcaza wedding boat and I feel that for just a ceremony it's a pretty high price to have to pay for just them to take pictures at the resort of me getting ready and possibly a half hour ceremony. Then we will be leaving the resort to go on the boat where he will take more pictures. So not all my wedding is spent at the resort. When is your wedding in May? What is it you have done so far?

    the cost of alterations are scaring me too. I ordered my dress from a dress shop in Edmonton just this past weekend. I went $300 over budget on my dress. I hop the alterations won't be too bad. Gonna be six months before my dress gets here and I am hoping to lose a few pounds before then so I most likely will hae to get it taken in.

    Well Ladies, I found my dress. I ordered it yesterday at The Bridal House in Edmonton. Of course the sample dress I tried on is a little big in the bust and it's really long. So keep that in mind. I can't wait to get my dress now and get it altered to fit me perfectly. Oh and I am looking for a different belt. That is just one they had in the store something similar to what I am looking for. I just wanted to have something on because I knew I wanted a belt anyway.

    Well ladies. I had a successful day yesterday wedding dress shopping. I first went to David's Bridal. There was one there I liked but was not wow'd for some reason by it. Then I went to The Bridal House and there were a lot of nice dresses. but there was one there I really loved. And guess what, I put my order in for the dress, and put my deposit down for it. I am so excited and can't wait. I have 6 months to wait though before it gets in. I took a picture of the sample dress on me but it wasn't my size and of course the bust is big and the length is long. So Here it is. You get the idea anyway. I will post pics when I get it finalized and altered to fit me. But that won't be for a while yet...lol

    HI, I am getting married at this resort in April 2015. I have been looking and searching on this site to find other brides possibly getting married at this resort but can't seem to find any. I would like to just discuss and share ideas back and forth. Anyone out there?

    I picked 2pm which is what I didn't want. but at the resort I chose it was either 2 or 4 and I wanted 4 but they told me in order to have the 4pm time then I would have to purchase the most expensive package. I didn't want to purchase that package just to have that time because I found it was a waste of money because I wouldn't need everything in that package anyway. That really sucked so I kind of had no other choice but to pick the hottest time of day

    Melia Caribe Tropical in DR is what I booked. Grounds are beautiful, resort is huge, and there is an adult only section.

    HI, You can also check the Melia Caribe Tropical in DR. I have my wedding booked there on April 17th, 2015. They have an adults only section there as well called the Level. That's an option too if you wanted to check out that resort. I have never been there myself but I just chose it based on the fact there is an adult only section there and it's a big resort so our guests would have more to do if they wanted. Read the reviews and check it out as an option.

    HI @@angelajackson, I have used a graphic designer in Lloydminster. I live in Alberta (Wainwright) so I wanted to find someone fairly close that I could meet with. She has been great with it and I got the final product back very quickly. She might be a bit pricey to what you are looking for but I am glad I spent the money because I was so happy with how they turned out. Here are mine

    hi, I did the same as @@kellisbaby. I started 14/15 months out and locked in my rate 12 months out. I think as early as you possibly can will be better for you.
