  1. I no longer have any wedding dress regrets. Have had my first dress fitting yesterday and was much happier than the visit the dress they call it. I left yesterday very excited and happy withn my decision. I have posted a pic of the dress from months ago when I tried it and the second pic is from yesterday. Having to get it taken in also made me happier.
  2. Thank you very much. I actually love the dress all over again now. I had doubts off and on since that first time I tried it on but since losing weight I am happy with it. The designer is actually Alfred Angelo. The belt I bought seperate but I am going to get it sewn onto the dress. The belt really adds to the dress for sure.
  3. Hey Kim, I couldn't believe what I was reading, but I certainly admire your courage and strength. You rock. It's awesome that you didn't what you did and what you felt was right. Many people lie to themselves thinking that this is what they want and continue on. But you my friend were honest to not only to him but to yourself and your boys. And yes happy if you stick around because you have great advice and input. We need as much as we can get. Stay strong and think that joining this group has given you the chance to bring many more friends into your life.
  4. Hey girls. Well my fitting went great because they have to take in both sides of my dress. Music to my ears. Also they are going to sew the boob cups in there for me. So no worries about a bra. Just have to figure out about the undies. I have attached a pic. The first one is a before and the second was taken yesterday. The dress you will notice is wrinkly though which will be fixed before I take it home.
  5. I will have to check those out. I hope they won't start to flip down at the top though. Doesn't look like they would. And hopefully not too warm because they are shorts. I am going to heck those out though cause you never know.
  6. @@JJCB0418 That's awesome. Wow not much has to be done with yours at all. Yay. Did you take a picture of your dress today? Would love to see a photo. It's so cool how are weddings are only a day apart.
  7. I can't believe how close your wedding is now @@calgarybride2015. I can't wait to see pictures and your reviews. It's going to be awesome.
  8. Thanks @@calgarybride2015. I will try to get me some undies that will "tuck." What I am most self concious about are my love handles and stomach. I need that pushed in haha @JKBC0418 yes we are on the same timeline. Your dress fitting is tomorrow hey? Let me know how that goes. Did they tell you anything about maintaining weight and by when you should have that maintained. Trying to lose some weight right now and hoping that the second dress fitting (in feb) will do. I hope they don't tell me I should have my weight maintained after the first dress fitting which is only Saturday. That don't give me mo time at all (although I could have started weight loss earlier). @@JJCB0418
  9. @@TinkerSofi, Thanks for the tips. I am hoping that the 21 day fix program I am on will help alot. I have read alot of success stories from it and I can already notice a difference myself. I just need to keep going until February at least. By then I should have the weight gone that I want and then i would just have to maintain that.
  10. You ladies have so much time. My wedding is in three months...lol Eeeeeek
  11. Yeah i don't want the top of them rolling down. That's why I thought mabe the slip type thingy I have posted thought would work because of that. But I don't want it to be too heavy or thick material either. What do most destination brides go with for this kind of thing? I am sure some brides out there want some kind of a "tummy tuck" from undies and also for it to be light. I feel so pressured with this decision. You would think this would be an easy one. I find the weirdest things to stress over I swear...lol
  12. I have a question for you lades. I have three dress fittings. My first being Saturday, Jan17th, My second is Feb14th and Third and final fitting is March 14th. I was hoping to be able to lose weight for the Feb 14th dress fitting. Are they able to do this? Or do most seamstresses recommend having your weight maintained by the frist dress fitting?
  13. I have started the 21 day fix. I was on weight watchers but found it didn't do much for me and not what i wanted. I heard alot of good things about the 21 day fix and so far i find it awesome. It's a program by beach body. They give you workout videos to follow which is only a half hour long and they give you the containers to help with the portion control. I started at 161.7 and now down to 156 and i started 10 days ago. I am very happy with the program and continue to stay motivated basically because of the wedding. That's my big motivator. I wnat to look good in the pictures and the way i think is i will be looking at those pictures for the rest of my life so i want to be happy with how i look. Google the program ladies. It's awesome. A friend of mine first told me she lost 30 pounds on it in a couple of months. So of course I was all over that.
  14. Yeah I am thinking it's going to be too warm. I can ask them on Saturday if they can build in cups. WIth those, do they give you the same support as a bra. I don't want to go braless. i just can't do that...lol For the tummy tuck undies that you suggested? What would they be like? Would they be comfortable and thin and still do the job? Would it be good for the heat? It's so hard to decide on those things. Yeah my date is getting close now. I still have to do a planning thread. I need to do one to keep all my plans together. I am the most unorganized person ever. I am kind of a scatter brain..lol
  15. Hey Ladies, I need your opinions. I have my first dress fitting on Saturday and i need to have everything with me that i am going to wear with the wedding dress so that they can make the best alterations to fit what i have. I have my shoes which i love but the only thing i am really stumbling on, is what to wear underneath my dress. I find that my dress doesn't conceal my little belly poof i have so i was hoping to get something to suck that in somewhat. But i also don't want something to be too warm for me. Also I need to figure out a bra or something to wear. I am so confused on what to get. I have attached a picture of something that covers everything what I am looking for (I hope). It's a shaper and it looks to have good support in the bra area and it's bridal. My question is do you recommend something like this for the heat? Or do you girls have any other suggestions. Anything will be great right now as I am paniking a little because my dress fitting is only 3 days away. Kristy
  16. Well girls I booked my appointment for eye lash extensions. I booked it for Mid March. (Leaving for Dominican April 13th). I figured this would give me time to get used to them, or to see if i am allergic or have any reaction and to also have one fill appointment before I leave. What do you girls think or should I have booked sooner and got a couple fills before leaving?
  17. Wow girly. All of us that started posting here on this site around the same time, are finalizing things and getting married. So excited for you and cannot wait to hear all about it.
  18. Good advice for sure. I think I will suck it up and just get them done. But I will take your advice Lily and wait till about 3 weeks out
  19. Today is the big day Congratulations and all the best to you and your new husband. I cannot wait for you to come back posting reviews, pictures, everything wedding.
  20. @@DorisEacott, So do you continuously get them done? I am really considering more so of getting them done then not. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and give them a try. Worse case is the look after the wedding, but I won't be so concerned then, just let them grow back out again(my natural lashes)
  21. @@calgarybride2015 So did you have them done? The lash extensions? @@malyna Would you get them done again? I am nervous about my lashes ended up shorter than they are but they do grow back, it will just take a while I suppose. Why couldn't I be born with voluminous long lashes, I wouldn't have this problem now...lol Maybe I will book an appointment for January? I could have a couple of fills before the wedding. Question though, the more fills you get the more damage to your natural lashes?
  22. hey @@calgarybride2015 yes I seen that but I wanted to get a few opinions on people that have had experience. I just wanted to make sure it was the right decision for me before I decided to commit to getting them done.
  23. Hi Girls, I am now 4 months out from my wedding. I am really considering getting eyelash extensions done but should I try getting them done now and keep getting them filled or wait a little longer until it's only like a couple months away from the wedding? Also I am a little scared because I have heard people say before that the eye lash extensions make your real lashes shorter and more sparse. Is this true? I don't have a whole lot of natural lashes there to begin with. What do you girls recommend? Have any of you had an experiences with lash extensions - good or bad? Thanks ladies, Kristy
