@@phdtck1 I have the dreams of love package not ultimate so i never had a mariachi band anyway. we arent going to be able to be there for the cocktail hour anyway (we will be taking pics) so I figured why not extend it to time we will be with our guests, plus we wanted a 4 hour reception instead of 3 for my bridesmaids, I got them purple silk robes, jewelry for the wedding, and personalized leather passport covers for wedding favors, i got personalized maracas from Maracas Mexico for welcome bags, i got tumblers with personalized stickers, advil, bug repellent wipes, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, gum, maraca key chains and we made these welcome booklets that i'm really proud of haha oh and to add pictures to your replies, just select "more reply options"

LOL you sound JUST like me!!!! bringing my hair stylist and freaking out about my makeup. so I found some pictures and going to sephora and mac to get all the makeup and getting them to help me learn it all. my friends have agreed to touch up if i hate how the resort does it. i really wish i had a professional makeup artist friend!!! your look sounds beautiful!! when i saw the costs of veils, i went a different route lol. I got the headpiece from etsy user GLIMOUR @@Sheaka youre right around the corner!! I've heard that you should pack your receipts, but I dont know if I have all of mine anymore, just going to pack what I have and hope nothing is a problem. I'm only packing receipts for like the items I'm bringing (chargers, stuff for welcome bags, votives, etc) I dont think we need receipts for our dresses I'm not having a cocktail hour, I opted to use that money to extend my reception an hour. There's still going to be a little break between the ceremony and reception for us to take pics and our guests can go to the lobby bar! @@Dec2015 thank you girl!!

@@phdtck1 yes my wedding theme is really glam lol. Even though we are getting married by a beach, I didnt want a beach theme at all!! (no seashells etc). your colors seem really gorg too! I splurged on my dress too and my girls are in long dresses too! seems like we have kinda similar style I just moved from Atlanta after living there for 7 years so I know exactly what u mean by costs of nice weddings there! my budget is pretty reasonable i think. I had a number but I've gone over it by about $800 right now lol but that's because my wedding coordinator keeps showing me stuff that I must have! my newest addition is this loveseat for our sweetheart table LOL @@Sheaka @@Lbrennan0 I'm getting married outside, on the pool deck, and you can definitely have candles fyi.

@@phdtck1 Hey girl! welcome to our forum!!! I went back and forth about the gazebo as well. It's really the reason I chose DRC because I never wanted to get married on sand, always overlooking the beach bc I want me and my fiance to wear shoes! I've talked to several brides and looked at endless videos and you're right, you will most likely draw an audience. However, most ppl say everyone is respectful and they did not notice them during their ceremony, aka not a distraction. Also if you decide to have it at the gazebo, tell your photographer and videographer to try to get shots without those ppl! we are having it at the gazebo and I think it will be fine I'm getting married in 15 days and we are having 58 guests. Amazing that you have 80 people! and they already submitted their deposits, thats awesome. Also, look up the Cancun Brides and Cancun and Riviera Maya Brides groups on Facebook....lots of DRC brides on there, and we share info everyday! Also, I was originally signed up for the Pool Terrace but am so glad I changed it to the Pool Deck, it seems MUCH better! p.s. when asking specific brides questions, it is good to mention their @ name so they get a notification, otherwise they may miss it!

@@Sheaka yea, getting purple satin tablecloths, and purple satin napkins, they definitely overcharge, but i didnt wanna have to think about dimensions of the tables (we are doing 2 long tables) etc. oh we are bringing chair sashes. but u go girl! awesome that you are able to take all that. the aisle runner will look great

random question but has anyone tried out the spa for the nail services? I'm really picky about my nails and want them perfect for the wedding day....We are leaving early thursday morning for our sunday wedding which means I would have to get my nails done wednesday....meaning not so fresh nails by Sunday! lol any feedback would be great

@@veryvalentine check with your resort, we are getting our sparklers directly from them for $2 each! could prob find them cheaper tho

@@yasminea84 Yes, that's what I have, but I could not find any without the plastic covers........ so I'm going to have them stick them onto the black cardstock pages and then slip them into the plastic covers once a page is full
