we really went (and continue to) go back and forth on this... 1. we are spending as little as possible! we want our lives together to be where th money goes, not one or two days. but enough to be confortable. 2. Since my vote for a winery/brewery got axed b/c its 1500$ and yo uhave to do everyhting... were doing a 100$ banquet hall, my moms friend is bartending, and were making an ipod playlist. so its pretty informal, but i made the dress a resort formal, I want to wear my dress for some of it, and I want other to wear nice clothes, no jeans! the good thing about the hall is we dont have a time limit, so we're doing 5pm till. 3. Our wedding is April 16, our AHR is May 16. 4. We're doing tables with small meals, like burger and pulled pork sliders, pasta, potatoes, small meals and snacky food. we're also doing a smoores bar (my new last name will be moore). 5. I am going to start in my dress, then change later. I am leaving the FH up to him. 6. We're doing notecard invites (vistaprint so I can design them, but don't have to print and cut them, I am doing what they call "notecard"). Then I'll stick them inenvelopes, but no RSVP needed. 7. no photographer, we have a lot of cameras in the families. 8. we're doing a cake top and a cupcake tower 9. Decorations. We're doing chalkboard labels for everything, included in a sign for the dance floor "'trust me you can dance' -Vodka" 10. we're doing a banquet hall, so its just white (my FH won that battle because its 1400$ cheaper than where I wanted). So we're lining the walls with pictures in chronological order, him on one side me on the other, leading up to the tv that will play our wedding day and pics.

were you able to set a meeting location between the wedding and the dinner? I have a 4pm wedding in April 2015, and I was to make an itinerary... but the 1.5hours between I want to give people the option to meet at one of the bar/lounge areas, or do whatever they want. Are there any good bar/lounges where about 30people can hang out?

Im doing RPTB and this is getting me so excited!

I am making my tags and printing them myself (since I only need ~40). I am ordering luggage tags and the loops from Amazon. I was thinking, people were mentioning laminating them... and I didnt even think about writing on them... I assumed people would just write on the paper/card for their bag and personal information... but I didn't even think about what my tags in the past have looked like, but I don't think I was able to change info (and I dont know why someone would want that option). What did you guys do?

I made my tags and printed them on high lb cardstock paper. I am still looking to buy holders.

I keep forgetting about the dollar store!! I was going to print them on business cards but you can only do 250+, and I need a whole ~40!! I am going to print them on like 65 or 100lb paper myself (since Im already designing them), and but the tags. Awesome idea! thanks.

I wish I had found this before I did mine. I did message in a bottle, and wanted linen but settled on Linen/cotton cardstock paper

I booked my wedding for RPTB in April 2015. I emailed a few wedding coordinators from varoius resorts and Sophia did, and continues to, respond within 24 hours, often almost immediately. She has been more than willing to answer anything and provide pictures, price lists, and has given good suggestions! I found 2 reviews on tripadvisor for weddings specifically and the bride/groom were very good at getting back to my personal message to them, and very helpful. Also, some brides on here have been awesome to talk to! Good Luck!

I am still having a hard time finding some. I need about 40 cups, and I found cheaper plastic mason jar ones than I can find tumblers!!! It's crazy!

Hey ladies, Im getting married at the Riu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril in April 2015. I am doing a 4pm beach ceremony, and want to do a spa day with my MOH, MOB MOG and my aunts if they want for the day before the ceremony. I was going to get my MOH a spa gift certificate for this day (she wants to hit the spa anyway, so why not!). I looked on the website, and booked a wedding there you receive 10% off spa services, and they do offer a 10% increase on spa gift certificates bought online. I was told spa services have to be booked online before your visit. Has anyone had spa days there or bridal services? I really just want manicure, pedicure and hair done, but who knows what everyone else may want. Do you know if they fill up fast? or if they have multiple people there that we may be able to have these services done a couple girls at a time? Really, any advice on the Renova spa services would be helpful!

@@MissJen3 I found them in the front of the store. There was a whole section of travel goods though (I was in the store in Cinci), and they even had slippers and things like that. I thought they would be there and searched forever before asking someone, they told me where to find them in the front. There were huge bins of them right before the checkout registers (make sense, since theyre "reusable bags"). http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40210063/ I showed them that link so they knew which bag I was talking about

I know we went with Negril because its laid back and seems to be a good location for all sorts of diverse activities. Also, we went with Riu because we have single people and most other resorts priced singles nearly double prices, not cool! I also do like that not many people go there, and the wedding cordinator is super super fast about replying and its very attentive.
