Groom's Attire?
Feath07 replied to pddcmc's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I think the dress is absolutely stunning! I love the lace. It's your day, you can wear whatever you want, but I truly think that dress would look just beautiful and definitely work for a beach wedding We're still in the process of finalizing the the guys attire, but I'm thinking linen shirts and pants to keep it light and also hoping my fiance will wear a vest! I think vests are really sexy!- 72 replies

I say wear it down if that's what you truly want to do. Either swept off to the side or half up and then just pin it up later if you start to get hot or think it looks straggly.- 24 replies

Hi Ladies! I'm trying very hard to narrow down my top 3 resort picks and curious if there are any Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe brides out there? I really haven't heard too much about this resort from the brides on here, or the info I have found seems quite a bit outdated (from 2010, etc.) So I'm hoping to hear back from any brides who have already booked or considering this resort as one of their options as well. Let me know! Thanks!

I'm trying to get there myself! Hopefully I do sooner, rather than later!

Congrats ladies!! I'm seriously considering the Royalton as well, yet not sure about the per person cost. We are going to have quite a large number of guests (100-125) so we're limited in terms of venue options and also not looking to spend a fortune, which the per person cost for the Royalton reception packages seem outrageous. I'm sure this is why some of you ladies are choosing to host your reception at the Jellyfish.

Royalton Punta Cana 2014
Feath07 replied to KevinY's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
@@Potter8 Congrats on your wedding! How many guests did you end up having? I'm seriously condidering this resort for my wedding but nervous about the overbooking issue. Also, how was the food overall at the resort. One of my main concerns is the food being really good ( if possible) Also, do you happen to have any advice after actually celebrating your wedding? Thanks so much! -
@@colivia Thanks so much! Do you know if any of those venues can accommodate a large group of people? We will most likely have over 100 guests and I would like to have my reception on solid ground, rather than on the beach/in the sand.

@@Moments That Matter Thanks, it's definitely keeping me busy, but a lot of fun as well. I'm excited to talk with Patty at Wright Travel Agency, since all the reviews have been amazing and I could definitely use the help! @@kcole123 Thanks so much for the feedback. Do you know if they charge a fee if your photographers are also guests at your wedding? My close friends are professional photographers and will be taking our photos as our wedding gift. Also, what other resorts were you considering?

@@Meandhim do you happen to have a contact email of the WC at the resort? I still have not heard back from them and really want to get in touch regarding questions I have and who to contact for group rates. i'm doing this all on my own without a TA and it definitely is quite frustrating and a lot of work for sure. That would be so great! I'd love to see the packages they offer and thanks for the info on the beach. I think it's pretty much a given it won't be too private if you choose the beach, so I may need to look into other options as well. My close friends are professional photographers, so they were going to shoot our wedding, so that's great news they'll be considered guests, since they actually will be as well. I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly! Here's my email for the wedding packages: etwedding15@@gmail.com Thanks again!

Thanks Ladies so much, I appreciate all the feedback I can get. Congrats to all of you as well and all the Best!! Hi Meandhim (love the name by the way )..... I was just looking at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana today, it looks beautiful! I sent an email inquiry regarding their wedding packages and just waiting to hear back. I'm glad to hear the food is good too, since that's a huge plus! Do you happen to know off-hand if they allow outside vendors? Thanks!

Hello Ladies!! I'm recently engaged and planning my wedding in the DR, Punta Cana. The beaches look incredible and my fiance and I are all about the Tropical Paradise feel for our wedding! I've doing quite a bit of research on the all-inclusive resorts (crazy how many there are, but love the options) and would love to receive recommendations for recent weddings in Punta Cana. I was in contact with Stephany at the Sanctuary Cap Cana, yet have just been informed that she is no longer with them and the resort is not available for weddings in April 2015, which was very disappointing since this resort was top on my list. I loved the fact that it was more private and less of a "wedding factory" feel per se. The new coordinator, Hector, did however recommend the other two sister properties of the resort (ALSO Luxury Village and ALSO Del Mar). Has anyone gotten married or stayed at either of these two resorts? Any feedback would be extremely helpful!! Thanks so much!!

Hello Ladies! I'm planning for my April 2015 wedding and in the process of narrowing down my top resorts in the DR (Punta Cana) and wanted to see if anyone has any particular recommendations or feedback they can provide regarding the "best" resorts and family-friendly as well, since we will have children attending our wedding too. I've been looking at a TON of resorts and really seem to like the Paradisus Palma Real & Punta Cana, Majestic Colonial & Elegance, Dreams Palm Breach, Sanctuary Cap Cana and NOW Larimar. Has anyone recently gotten married at any of these resorts or looking into them as well? I'd also be open to suggestions for any other resorts not mentioned too, since I'm still pretty early in the process of narrowing down my "top picks" and recommendations, feedback, etc. is always a huge plus. I'd also really like to be married on the beach and have our reception elsewhere (inside on "solid ground') as we don't want guests to have to worry about walking around in the sand at dinner. I ideally would love to have the reception in an area with an inside and outside, so guests can be in the AC and out in the fresh air as they choose. I have found a few places that seem to offer this, yet it's always so hard to tell from the pictures and the responses sometimes are a bit vague from the WC's. It's also a little bit difficult since we do have quite a large guest list (about 275) and know for sure that we will have at least 50 people attending (our closest friends and family) and possibly 100-150, but I really think we may only end up with 80-100 in total, although you never know for sure! So we're somewhat limited in choosing locations that only allow for a smaller number of people. I may ask guests to RSVP sooner rather than later, so I know for sure. Another concern of mine is privacy. I know getting married on the beach isn't generally all too private, yet if anyone is aware of resorts that offer more privacy for a beach ceremony, I'd greatly appreciate it! Also, I'll be reserving a private area for the reception to ensure we won't have any "unwanted" guests crashing the wedding. I'm open to suggestions and recommendations for the reception area as well, so feel free to send them on over! It'd also be a huge plus to find a place that has great food too... not just average. However, I know this varies from person to person. I,saw a few posts where people mentioned getting sick. I'm not sure if it was from the food or what, but that definitely scares me quite a bit, since it would really put a damper on my wedding day. Has anyone experienced getting sick themselves or any guests not feeling well? Some of the reviews were a few years old so I'm hoping things have improved at those resorts since then, yet you never really know. Any feedback, suggestions, recommendations, pictures, etc. would be a HUGE help and GREATLY appreciated as this process of narrowing down the resorts is pretty overwhelming for sure!! THANKS SO MUCH!!
