    Hi @@paulah1984, congrats on your upcoming wedding!! My fiancé and I visited the Royalton last May before we booked it for our April 25th wedding and took a few pics, I will send them to you today. Not sure about the alcohol options yet cause I haven't looked at the paperwork in awhile but if I hear anything I'll post here! We're doing the private reception by the pool. Happy Planning!

    We were thinking of getting a Go Pro too! We decided against a videographer to save money, since we'll have the professional photographer. I love the idea of making a video montage of clips from the wedding weekend @@beckys98! Our ceremony spot is very windy so I'm assuming we wouldn't be able to hear anything no matter what kind of video we use, but I'd love to have clips of everyone enjoying the resort, at the reception, etc. My fiancé will most likely be in charge of this as well, I'll let everyone know later on what we buy.

I thought we were the only ones not staying in Jamaica for our honeymoon We considered flying straight from Jamaica but logistically it ended up working out better for us to fly home Sunday night (do laundry and repack all day Monday) and then leave Tuesday morning for Hawaii. It's going to be a little crazy but well worth it! Have an amazing time wherever you decide to go!

    Hi @@NoRad! Our wedding is April 25, 2015 at the Royalton so we're right by you! We decided to hire an outside photographer since we wanted someone who could be there for most of the day for a more reasonable rate. We hired Marcia Roberts - her website is www.jamaicanphotography.com if you want to take a look. She came very highly recommended and we're excited to work with her. I'm also trying to get more organized now and figure out what still needs to get done, the big day is coming up sooo fast!

    Congrats on your engagement! We're getting married in April at the Royalton White Sands, it's about 30 minutes from the Montego Bay airport. We visited in May and loved it. The wedding planner there (Chandlyn) is excellent and the grounds are beautiful, plus lots of choices for ceremony and reception spots. I can email you photos we took while we're there if you like, just let me know. Happy Planning!

    Congrats to both of you on your engagements!! I was in the same position, my fiancé didn't want to get married on the sand but we both wanted a water view for the ceremony. We're getting married at the Royalton White Sands (it's a little bit outside Montego Bay) in April 2015. The resort has a gorgeous gazebo at the end of a walkway going out into the ocean. The private reception is poolside later that night. Let me know if you want me to email the photos I took when we visited there in May of this year. Happy Planning!!

    Oh I'm so glad I found this thread, I was wondering the same thing!! I keep adding more and more things to put in the OOT bags and I was thinking that a really good bag would just be the favor. Thank you @@palmtree99!

    @@Megg @@Binzster I haven't been checking in as much here either, it's been so busy!!!! Our wedding is at the Royalton White Sands but we saw a few weddings when we visited the Riu and they looked beautiful! I know both your weddings will be amazing!!!

    Definitely ask your WC if it's ok, mine told me that I couldn't ship anything to them because they don't have the room to store it plus you never know what'll happen when it goes through customs - I've also heard what @@calgarybride2015 has heard, that sometimes it doesn't even show up. For my favors and OOT bags, I'm asking my family if I can borrow extra luggage from them and then paying to check the extra bags. It's a pain but worth it to get them there safe!

    Congrats @@brye858! We researched a ton of resorts before deciding on the Royalton White Sands, it's just outside of Montego Bay. It used to be a different resort so now it's totally renovated and very new-looking I have lots of info if you want me to email it to you. Happy Planning!

    I'm getting married at the Royalton a few weeks after you @@Sayler! I have a few photos of the resort if you'd like me to email them to you, we visited in May. I'm a little worried about the extras too, but hopefully everything will work out great and under our budget! We decided to use an outside photographer, Marcia Roberts. Happy planning!

    I'm so relieved to read this thread! I bought my dress a few months ago and it won't be ready until January. I second-guessed myself for awhile because it's not what I pictured myself in originally, but I really love it and get more excited about it as the wedding gets closer. But I still see dresses on Facebook and wonder if I should have gotten something more simple, and I had it stop watching Say Yes To The Dress too Hopefully at the first fitting I'll fall in love with it all over again!
