Hey @@talicea7812 glad to hear you're doing well? What did you name your baby? Can't believe we're all married now! Noelle and I started using the Azul bride Facebook page I dont get on here too much anymore but need to sit down one day and actually finish my thread!

@@alwalters625 since the first 10 days are the cleanse phase you want to drink water anyways to flush out all of the toxins in your body. It also helps get rid of more water weight! If anyone has any more questions let me know, I'm a distributor but don't really actively sell the products, just do it more for my personal use!

@@talicea7812 that actually helps a lot thank you! The bar inside the restaurant doesn't bother me but i don't like the idea of the dancing being in a separate room but this should work. Did you have people sitting on both sides of the table or everyone facing the dance floor? Did they charge you extra for the tables to be like this? We are having right around 30 I think so unless people drop out she said I can't have the BBQ deluxe package for over 25 ppl at that location. Blah blah you know how the offsite WC are. How is the pregnancy and married life going? When are you due?
-
@@amyeprice77 I saw you had your reception at Chill terrace, that's where we wanted ours but our coordinator said no if it was over 30 people, did they allow you to go a couple people over? How did everything go? What food did you choose for yor reception? We were set on the BBQ deluxe and our coordinator is now letting us know since that's a buffet option we can't have over 25 people. Was there room for dancing on the terrace? She is also telling me we would have to have dancing inside the restaurant and the terrace would just be for eating??? Sorry for all the questions!
-
@@talicea7812 hoping you can clear things up for me! I wanted to do our reception at Chill Terrace and my WC keeps saying if we do a plated or family style dinner there it is 30 ppl max and you eat on the terrace and the dancing can take place inside (which I thought this whole restaurant was open air) so I asked for clarification and she sent me these pics.....what is she talking about dancing taking place inside the restaurant? I didn't want to be seperated from our tables I wanted it all to be in one room. She said these are pics of the inside. I know you had your reception there so I was hoping you could help clear it up. Is there a separate bar outside for us or do we use the one inside the restaurant and is it closed down to other hotel guests inside as well as the terrace?

As long as you stick to the meal plans and drink LOTS of water you should be good. If you don't drink the recommended amount of water it can really damage your kidneys, I know two girls that ended up in the hospital because they were so dehydrated.

Good ideas! I have no clue what we are using yet... I was thinking of Coldplay - Paradise for the processional

I have and it does work!

So I received a reply from my WC finally with my flower quotes from Lomas and honestly I don't even know how to read their quotes because one of the pics I sent is cut off and I don't know if their replies are for the pic above or below. Looks like I will be getting quotes from Maya Floral or going the fake route.

@@kcole123 Thank you! I am going to look into them!

@@kcole123 did you get these from someone on Etsy? They're gorgeous!

I thought I would start a new thread because there are a lot of old ones regarding ceremony music but not a whole lot with recent posts! We haven't decided on precessional, ceremony, processional music yet...was hoping to get some ideas and see what everyone else is going with?

Sister In Law- Pregnant- Helpppp
KaraEbeth replied to BusyBee280's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Lol I am going through the exact same thing! My sister in-law and her husband were going to be in our wedding party and suddenly they decided they weren't coming it was too expensive, blah blah. Then she announces she is pregnant with their fourth child (this is after her doctor told her after the 2nd one, he would recommend she not have more because pregnancy is too much on her body..she gets very sick etc)...would you like to know her due date?! The day before our wedding! Maybe I shouldn't be annoyed about it but I am, can we have our time to shine for once? My MIL is also not happy about it but that's a whole new can of worms to open....lol. I love this site Im so glad I'm not the only one dealing with this type of stuff. -
I can't tell you how many tears I've shed over the exact same thing. I keep reminding myself that it doesn't matter who is there, it's about the two of us joining in marriage, as long as my fiancé is there everyone else is just a bonus....but that is easier said than done when some of my friends and family have said things I've found a little hurtful. I really need to stop taking everything to heart but that's not the kind of person I am. We've had people complain about the cost and I've also felt like I had to "sell" people on coming and others are really excited and are thinking of it as a vacation, which is what we want. A very wise bride said to me on here once- There are two things that bring out the best and worst in people: weddings and funerals. I find that to be totally true!

@@MariCorrea23 @@ng2015 so the Always and Forever is only complimentary in the month of September? Hm I overlooked that as well! I dont think I'll end up qualifying anyways. We have quite a few of our friends being total pains about the resort and wanting to stay elsewhere Uggh! I was under the assumption one of the Memorable Moments packages was just the decor an you still had to pay for the ceremony in addition to that. @@MariCorrea23 if your coordinator is still putting up a fight about flowers....which is ridiculous...I would just tell her you're bringing fake ones down and in the meantime set everything up with an outside vendor to stop the flowers off....I really wish they would get rid of Lomas. They are terrible. @@ng2015 I saw your pic of the OOT bags, love them! Now to fill them lol.
-
@@MariCorrea23 what ceremony package are you paying for? I thought the Always and Forever was all there was. I would just tell the Miami coordinator you are bringing your own fake ones and then get a quote from an outside florist and set up everything with them. The onsite coordinators will be okay with it once you're there. Who is your Lomas coordinator? You may want to request a new one.

@@ng2015 I'm not sure what I'm going to put in mine yet. I wanted some things easy to pack but thought about maybe putting a couple tumblers in there or koozies? Definitely some info about the welcome dinner and ceremony and reception times, a thank you note...maybe some Advil and Pepto samples? What do you think you'll put in? Are you the one I was talking to on the Azul Beach Bride Facebook about their private event prices skyrocketing?! I put the NG and your name on Facebook together and thought maybe that was you? Lol @@MariCorrea23 you are able to send your coordinator pics of what you're looking for and they will give you a quote. I've heard Lomas' quotes are higher than other places (of course) but haven't sent any pics myself yet. Also, I'm not sure what your coordinator is talking about regarding the fake flowers...I've never heard that. Review Azul Beach Weddings 2014 forum, the first few pages in this one, and "Tina's Peacock Wedding" thread from @@talicea7812 - she brought in flowers from an outside vendor and the on site coordinators didn't put up a fight at all. I am pretty sure Lomas put up a fight about it (can't remember off the top of my head) but if you look through her planning thread you'll find the info you need.

@@ng2015 Thank you!! I got my OOT bags on Friday, I'm really happy with how they turned out...I expected the canvas material to be a little thicker but owell. I totally agree with your brain feeling like it's fried! There are so many ideas out there I can't keep them all straight! I keep trying to remind myself I don't need a lot of decor because of the scenery but it's hard to to go over the top! That's why we had a destination wedding as well and it's turning out to be just as pricey lol. I don't know how I am just now seeing your reply btw, sorry I wasn't ignoring you!
-
<Choosing a Destination> Given that so many of our friends had been married we had a pretty good idea of what we didn't want.....we knew we wanted to go away somewhere and even considered Vegas as an option....we also wanted early 2015. Neither of us like attention so we did not want some big over the top extravaganza. We debated between southern Florida, the Caribbean, and Mexico. We ended up choosing Mexico purely based on the reviews at our top resort pics...along with $$$ as well. We looked at Punta Cana but ended up choosing RM instead. My first choice was the Royal Playa del Carmen and I am still in love with that resort but it was just too pricey for our guests. We also looked at El Dorado Royale, El Dorado Maroma, Now, and the Secrets resorts. Once I found the El Dorado resorts on the Karisma site, I stumbled upon the Azul resorts.....after reading the reviews for Azul Beach Hotel and weighing the pros and cons, it was a no brainer! We liked EDR but we figured it would be hard to track people in our wedding party down all week since it is so huge. ABH is small and more intimate so I am happy with our choice.

Our Story and Engagement My fiance, Corey, and I graduated a year apart from the same high school. We had mutual friends, so we knew each other for several years prior to dating but never really hung out. In 2007 we ran into each other at a friend's party and hit it off, we've been together ever since. I must say since it has been SEVEN years since we started dating (and we've lived together for the last four) I was beginning to get a little inpatient with the wedding situation... Most of our friends are now married and/or have kids so we are almost the last ones haha. I knew Corey was popping the question at some point because we had been talking about it but I had no idea he was going to propose when he did. Corey proposed on NYE this past year before we went out to dinner with friends. I was in the bathroom doing my hair and he kept walking in and asking me if I knew how much he loved me...I jokingly kept saying no and to go get dressed because we were already running late (story of our lives, lol). He walked over to the doorway of the bathroom and said I'm trying to tell you something and he looked extremely nervous like he was going to cry. He said, "I wanted to end the year on a good note and start the night off right," and he got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I was in such shock all I could keep saying was, "are you serious?!" After dinner later that evening. My ring, what is funny is a few days before this my cousin and I were looking at engagement rings on the Jared website and I showed this exact ring to Corey and told him how much I loved it....he has bought the ring the day before it was upstairs in his dresser drawer. He knows me better than I thought lol! It's on my middle finger in this pic because it was huge on me...I have little baby hands.

@@ng2015 I was wondering the same thing! @@talicea7812 your pics look gorgeous and congrats on another little girl!! I really need to get my planning thread started now too!

@@ng2015 I think we're going with Chill for our reception. I would like to keep it low key but still fun for everyone so I think that's the best choice for us. Still undecided on food and all that though. I would love to have a DJ or a mariachi band but just can't justify spending the extra money. We are do coral and teal as our colors with gray and white chevron accents. I just have two bridesmaids and we found their dresses at Hazel and Olive Boutique for $25!! It was a steal. I will have to attach the pic below. Don't mind my beautiful hair in the pic my cousin and sis wanted to see the dress on hahaha. My mom and I are also making hanging starfish decorations for the aisle and I may have the planners tie two to the corners of the beach gazebo (still undecided if I want to do that or two hanging flower arrangements there instead). I'm not sure what we're doing for centerpieces at Chill yet but I was considering just renting little lanterns from them and then bringing the chevron table runners my mom and I are making..that way I am getting use of them twice! I wanted to keep the decor at the reception simple though, maybe the lanterns and just some shells or something and some hanging lanterns and poms? I am a chronic procrastinator so I have a feeling I will still be changing my mind about some of this in January! I did get my proof from The Wedding Chicks for our welcome bags though and I love how they look, can't wait til they come in! I attached the pic below too! I love those sequin runners btw! Very glam! Are you allowed to pick and choose things from the packages for your decor? I saw a wifey tee on Etsy like the one on the Wedding Chicks site and I am definitely planning on getting one as well!!
