  1. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to or not. I'd really like to sell my dress after the wedding, and I'm afraid I won't be able to if I do a TTD.
  2. Hey ladies! The Canadian Vistprint website is having a Canada Day sale. I just ordered my invitations and got 25% off. Hopefully there will be a similar sale for the 4th of July?
  3. Hey ladies! The Canadian Vistprint site has their wedding invitations on sale for Canada Day. Promo code is CANADA. I got my wedding invitations for 25% off!
  4. They do have a nice selection of bridesmaids dresses. The seamstress there is pricy, but amazing!! I might even bring her my wedding dress.
  5. Congrats! I have less than 10 to go!
  6. I actually had an awful experience at Jessica when I was wedding dress shopping so I'm glad you had a better experience there. The woman was really rude and rushed me through my appointment even though I was the only one in the store. Recently though, I had to get a bridesmaid dress from them and the store was much better. The seamstress told me that the lady that helped me out originally wasn't working there anymore.
  7. I'm planning on selling mine after the wedding. Now all I have to do is avoid drinking too much and ruining it in Mexico! Lol
  8. @@TinkerSofi your dress is beautiful! I got mine from Blissful as well. A beautiful lace dress for $1100. The owner helped me out as well and they were great there .
  9. @@tarynh86 I'm so glad you found something you love! @@NixSpade thank you so much
  10. We booked our group through Westjet as well since their pricing was by far the best. My only advice is if you go with Westjet have your travel agent explain thoroughly what all their stipulations and policies are for group bookings. They are much more strict with how things get booked. We almost switched to another provider off that reason but we didn't want our guests to pay more just so I wouldn't have a headache at the end of the day
  11. I think the way you are describing the colours sounds amazing! I did a quick google search for bright pink bridesmaids dresses, and then imagined the wedding dress in a blush colour and I didn't find one that would look strange to me.
  12. I was thinking of doing photo books before I read this thread, so I'm glad to see it's a popular idea! That means I'm on the right track
  13. Purple. Spaghetti or pizza? Whoops! Missed one lol. I'd have to say wedges, but in reality it's flats. My fiancé is only half an inch taller than me and I haven't worn anything with height in over five years
  14. I'll probably hand off my e-ring to my MOH. She's much more responsible than I am . What I've been really worried about is my fingers swelling in the heat and not being able to get my rings on! Has anyone had this problem?
  15. Oooh, that's a tough one. McDonalds I think. Documentaries or reality tv?
  16. @@marinah84 you're welcome! I've been working on my own playlist and my friend who used to work with me was helping. We were making a list of our old go-to songs and that came up ????
  17. Just thought I'd share something with those of you that are still planning their song lists. I was a DJ for 10 years - we were Name-That-Tune hosts, did the music for corporate parties, Christmas parties, Stampede parties, and yes, weddings. The ONE song that was GUARENTEED to get everyone up on the dance floor, no matter their age or gender was .... Mambo #5 by Lou Bega Maybe it was a regional thing. It drove my partner crazy - he hated the song with a passion, but if things were slowing down more than we would like that was always the song we pulled out and it worked 100% of the time.
  18. Are you looking for cute and upbeat? Or slower and romantic?
  19. No way. Too many horror movies are based around that scenario Would you take an extended trip to a foreign country on your own?
  20. Short. I wish I could have long nails, but alas it's not allowed at work Morning or night?
  21. The Palladium is charging us $20 per person after the first 8 people - my wedding planner told me that the twenty bucks covers the extra chairs, champagne toast, and cake (as it's made for the size of your group).
  22. We are also keeping the wedding-related events to a minimum. An informal cocktail meet up once everyone arrives at the resort is all that's planned so far. We are trying to decide if we want to spend the $2500 that was quoted to us for the private catamaran cruise, but if we do go ahead with it we'll nix the cocktail get-together.
  23. @Maggietron I don't think your guests will have a problem dealing with your travel agent wherever they are since almost all of their communication with the TA will be by email or over the phone. We have people coming out of Alberta, Ontario, and Florida so what my travel agent did was put together a group package through WestJet for our Alberta people (since that's where the majority are flying from), and a separate "land-only" package through Sunwing for the few that are coming out of ON and FL and they will just book their flight on their own. It was the easiest way to do it for us, even though we miss out on some extra "perks" through WestJet due to the fact that fewer people are booking through them.
