  1. We are doing a welcome cocktail party at the X-Lounge. I have a related question. It sounds like the semi-private dinners are capped at 20 people. We are going to have 23 including us. Does anyone happen to know if we can pay extra for the 3 over 20 and still have a semi-private dinner? We have booked a semi-private dinner the night before the wedding at Tuscana and I'm hoping we don't have to figure out a back-up plan. I'll email Jessica but wondered if anyone had experience with this.
  2. We've been picking up some small, special things for our moms to put in their OOT bags. Clear, waterproof cases for their iPads that allow them to use the touch screen and these beach bags that have a flap and mesh bottom for emptying out sand (I think they're called Shake bags). We are also giving our dads a cigar bar "credit" and moms a spa "credit" at the resort (really room credit but we're making nice cards to indicate what it's for). I saw something on Pinterest where a couple had a picture of themselves holding a picture frame that said "We owe you." I thought that was cute and we plan to do that as well in their thank you cards at the rehearsal dinner.
  3. Thank you! I can't wait. You guys are giving me a lot to think about. I haven't even chosen my menu or flowers yet! Just the locations for each dinner/cocktail hour we're having.
  4. Hello Ladies, I'm so excited to find a board dedicated to the Excellence Riviera Cancun! FI and I are getting married there this November 26th (the day before Thanksgiving). I haven't been to the resort before and am really looking forward to connecting with others who are doing the same planning as I am.
  5. We are doing individual pieces of white slate that people can write on (Etsy). Then we can display them in our home.
  6. This post has been the most helpful I've found yet! I'm putting finishing touches on my OOT bags now and here's where I'm at. I'd love any thoughts or feedback! - Using a gable box since I assume most guests will bring a beach bag along. - Spanish phrase guide (Not just spanish words, but phrases. May be a miss but my FI was into it and we think people may get a kick out of trying obscure phrases on each other). Found them for $2 on Amazon. - I found small cloth bags with a red cross on them for $9 for 15 bags on Etsy that I put individual packets of Advil, roll of Tums, Emergen C packets and bandaids in (all found on Amazon). - Eos lip balm (Costco had them cheaper than Amazon) - waterproof phone case that is clear on both sides and lets you take pics and use the touch screen. I thought for the beach or water (e.g. swim up bar travel) our guests may appreciate them. (less than $6 a piece on Amazon). - playing cards - Altoids (again cheaper at Costco than Amazon) I'm most excited about the waterproof phone case and I'll be sure to come back on after November and let others know if it was a hit or miss.
