@@LauraM there is much more out there other then this site. I don't find enough destination brides are using this site and we shouldn't reflect on just what is on here. I have a few vendors as well on here that have had some negative reviews but when I check the source and remember all my extensive research I did ahead of time I don't get too worried. We are getting married next month and I am certain I made the right decisions at the time and it will be a beautiful spectacular day and so yours will be too. Not everything you read is true and there really isn't enough reviews on this site to be fair.

We sent postcards with "see you in Mexico" and personalized message on the back. Deposit deadline was early May and I just sent them out now. Wedding April 22, 2015. I think its a nice gesture.

Dreams really does a great job in catering to weddings. We picked Dreams Tulum and the wedding coordinator has been great to work with easy to talk to and very accomodating. We chose not too small and not too large of a resort due to the fact we don't want to lose our guests and its easier if the resort it smaller. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and had the Mexican flare I was looking for as we are getting married in Mexico for a reason. It really is hard to narrow down as there is always pros and cons no matter what you pick but I am sure you will make the right choice.

We booked with Flight Centre they have specialized locations that deal directly with weddings. They are super amazing and worked within our price range to get our best possible rate. We booked Dreams Tulum April 2015 - VERY HAPPY with our choice and every 6th room booked we get free meaning the price of the room for the week goes toward whatever we want. The Palace resorts were another option that give great perks depending on the size of your wedding we are only having 35-40 people and the Palace resorts are on the higher end of our budget in which we wanted our guests to pay. The ladies at Flight Centre were able to break down the perks each resort was giving it was great. They also counter offered flights between West Jet & Air Transat as West Jet would not gaurantee a direct flight for us from Vancouver but Air Transat would. We booked our air with Air Transat as they took West Jets lower price, they fly to Cancun more then West Jet from Vancouver and their customer service is awesome!!! Hope that helps

We chose Dreams Tulum because of the beach and the we really wanted ceremony and reception on beach. Tulum is gorgeous and we couldn't be happier with our choice. They are kid friendly as well. We are getting married there next April. We also liked that every 6th room booked is FREE meaning we get that credit towards our stay or our wedding which is awesome. The ground are gorgeous and have a true Mexican feel which I wanted. It is small enough but not too small that we can hang out with our guests and not get lost like in large resorts trying to find friends. There are so many options and Dreams Tulum is one of them.Good luck!

LOVE Air Transat!!! we just flew to Mexico with them last month - very happy!!! When we booked our wedding West Jet gave us a better group quote but would not gaurantee a direct flight from Vancouver for us which was upseting as we really want a diirect flight. Air Transat honoured our quote from West Jet so we went with Air Transat. They have been very good!!!!

@@Nybride525 I have 3.. originally had 4 so uneven bridesmaids to groomsmen since he has 4.. is that a big deal?? we had a few people that couldn't make the trip that we would want in our wedding party..

We did it all by e-mail as it was a short time (2 months) from when we booked and when our guests had to have the deposit down. To put your deposit down was all on internet anyways. We will send out our invitations with more information 6 months before wedding. We also have a wedding website where people will find all the information. I wouldn't even call it an invitation as they have already confirmed by deposit. Ours is a "see you in Mexico" kind of thing..

@@meganstobo2004 get a good travel agent it will limit a lot of hassle also depending on where you live pick somewhere that isn't too far for guests. Without our travel agent for our destination wedding April 2015 I don't know where I would be. It is very overwhelming!! Once you have a place decided that will help a lot!!!!!! We picked Dreams Tulum April 22, 2015 and I am very happy with our decision.

I recently booked my date for April 22, 2015 had to put down a $500 USD deposit based on the wedding package I chose. This is pretty much the standard for all resorts. Even if I was to pick the complimentry package it still required a $100 deposit.

It is A LOT less stressful when using a travel agent! A lot less for you to worry about as you will have other things to concentrate on! Travel agent all the way!

@mention Congrats!!!!!! I am really considering MP as well for our Spring 2015 wedding date. Still waiting on quotes. I did find the resort forum very very helpful from the brides that have got married there in the past. At least you have the resort booked (I am finding it the most stressful part)

@@jeni26 I am also planning my wedding for April or May 2015 from Vancouver. I am using the gals at the North Van Wedding Flight Centre as all they do is weddings. I am waiting for my quotes back (hoping its not too outrageous) where did you get your quotes from? I am hoping to choose and get quotes back and let everyone know by late March **fingers crossed**

@@CurlyKristen I know Dreams Riviera Cancun just got bought by the Hyatt chain since I was looking there too. There might be a big turn over of staff or who knows so it could get a bit crazy with planning from afar and a new chain taking over just FYI
