  1. @ Esterhartley Thank you for your suggestion. I will email them now to see what they offer. Good luck with your upcoming wedding! @@dreamweddings Thanks for your suggestion. I will look into a private villa because that might be a good option for us. Are you a wedding planner for the area?
  2. Welcome! Congrats! I am also a newbie...to this site, though we have been engaged for over a year. I live Chicago as well and plan to get married in Tulum in 2015. Just thought I would say hello! I do not have any suggestions but you may want to check out places in Playa Del Carmen as well. It is about 45 minutes south of Cancun and a little bit more of a relaxed vibe than Cancun. 5th avenue is tons of fun with shops, great restaurants and bars. We saw a few hotels setting up for weddings (and a rehearsal) when we were in Playa this Summer and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful event! Good luck planning!
  3. I am interested! Are they $15 for the leftover or priced each? Where are located so I can sort of estimate shipping costs?
  4. Hello Everyone! My fiance and I are planning a DW in Tulum for Spring/Summer 2015 (no date planned yet). We fell in love with the beach town while we were visiting in August 2013 and decided it was a perfect place to get married. I have been doing online research and not had any luck finding venues which can accommodate us. We plan to have 45 people or less including a few young children. I do not want to book an entire hotel for our wedding for two reasons, our budget and I want everyone to have the opportunity to stay where they wish. We have a very limited budget. I do not have an exact amount but do not really want to go over about $7,000 USD total. My sister is a professional photographer but I would like to have a someone who can take pictures while she enjoys the ceremony and other activities.I plan to do as much DIY as I can. We want the venue to have great food with with good options, quaint and low key. Suggestions on venues and wedding venders would be much appreciated! We will have to visit Tulum again before our wedding but I would like to have a few places narrowed down so we will know where to visit. I should also add we plan to do a symbolic or mayan ceremony as we will legally get married the the US.
