Hi All, I'm going to get up my dress shopping pretty soon (in the next 1-2 months) and I was wondering if others invited their future mother in law to come with them? I'm not that close with her so I wasn't planning on inviting her (she lives 4 hours away too), but I wanted to know what others think first. Thanks!

This is a question for brides that did a legal ceremony in the DR. How long did it take you get your marriage certificate from the DR? We are trying to decide on a legal or symbolic ceremony and wanted to know which is easier. Thanks in advance!

I agree! I feel like it is tacky asking the guests for more money, especially if you are inviting people who aren't invited to the wedding!

I'm so sorry about your situation. I feel like my FI and I might be in this same situation soon with bridesmaids and groomsmen (we both have 3 total). I feel like one of each might back out when it comes closer to the time. We just made out guest list and started to stress about who and who not to invite. Then we got to the F*ck it stage, and decided that even if we invite everyone we know not everyone will come and those who do come will have a great time! If people really want to come then they will, and if not they are the ones missing out! I can also relate to your cousin situation, except it was my older sister who got engage about 2 months after us and now wants to have her wedding before mine (this summer). I was super upset about it at the time but am getting over it, as I know our wedding will be about celebrating us!

We aren't having a set budget, but we want to keep it under 15000 for sure. Since we are just starting the planning it is hard to say exactly how much we will pay since we have no idea how many people will actually be there!

Did you have any problems with Staples? I am thinking of getting our boarding pass save the dates at Staples, as our printer is not that great. I'm assuming that they can print on heavier card stock paper.
