Apologies for starting another thread about Pastor York, but I have some additional questions about him that I couldn't find in other threads about him. I was wondering what his ceremonies are like? I don't want any religion in our ceremony, so I was wondering if anyone could share their ceremony script? Are we able to customize it at all? What about vows? Are those pre determined or can we write our own? Thanks!

I would definitely be upset! The point of having a DW is so that it is a small, intimate group of people that I know! I am allowing guests to bring a +1 to help with rooming costs and/or having someone else to know, but no more than a +1!

That is awful! Can you get someone (FI, future sister in law etc) to suggest she get something else to wear? I'm dreading going shopping for the mother of the groom dress!

Hi All, This question is for Canadian Brides specifically in SW Ontario. I'm looking for convertible dresses like the one shown below. I'm having a hard time finding a designer or store that has them listed online. Most of my wedding party lives 6+ hours from me so I'm trying to stream line our dress shopping. Does anyone have any ideas about designers or what bridal stores sell them?

I am using Wright Travel for my travel agency. So, far Patty has been very helpful answering all of my questions! Based on what Patty has told me Travel Agents help with all the travel arrangements and booking the resort. They can get you group rates which you wouldn't be able to get on your own. They also take the travel planning out of your hands so that is one less thing to worry about, or having people constantly asking you questions about! Hope that helps!

I agree as well. It is asking a lot for you to cancel your plans to attend her wedding. That is one of the risks of destination weddings...not having everyone you want there and your friend should understand that!

@@ktzaz000 We were originally looking at Beaches/Sandals but that would have been way too expensive for guests. We picked Dreams because of the excellent reviews on this website, as well as all the information on their website. I really like to see what I will get before having to book or put a deposit down, so I liked that Dreams had a comprehensive list of what they offer and what else you can add. We are inviting 80 people, hoping for about 50 (or less). We haven't officially picked a date yet, but we would like March 5th or 6th (Thursday or Friday). I feel like picking a resort is very stressful, as everything else depends on the resort you pick! I also feel like once the resort is picked and the date set so much has been accomplished all at once!

Thanks for the info Tammy! I filled out the form for Wright Travel last week, but haven't heard anything back yet. How long does it usually take to get a response? Are there any TAs based in Canada?

@@ktzaz000 We have contacted a travel agency (Wright Travel) to see if they have any tips or advice, but yes we are going to go with Dreams Palm Beach. We are doing March 2015 too! What else are you looking into?
