We put the resort on our, just to avoid all the questions from guests after we sent them out. I'm sure just the month and country would be good enough. I agree with the website, it is a key for keeping guests informed!

I heard from mine as soon as I send it my deposit to hold the date. She sent general information and forms that I would need. Now that we have all our locations reserved we won't hear from her until about 6 months before the wedding. Hope that helps!

Congrats on the upcoming wedding! I am also getting married in Punta Cana in 2015. I am using Patty from Wright Travel (the agency affiliated with this site). She has been amazing to work with! Very quick to answer emails and very helpful! I would recommend using Patty to anyone! They are totally free of charge too!

My boarding pass STDs are finished, so I thought I would post them for everyone to see! My fiancé and I recruited the best man and his girlfriend to help make them. Overall it took the four of us about 4 hours to cut, assemble and address them. We used a paper cutter, and a corner cutter for the majority of the cuts, but could also get away with just using scissors if we cut carefully. We got our STDs printed, as we didn't want to deal with printing them ourselves. I also made a folder for the save the date, but the file it too large to post on here. If anyone is interested I can send them the picture of it. One piece of advice I didn't even think of which making them is the "Passenger receipt 1 of 1". We had one guest comment that they wish they got their own as it said 1 of 1 and we gave them out to couples. It was very trivial, but I didn't even think of it while making it. To make the STDs I used corel draw, as I use it at work and am familiar with it. I also tried it our in PowerPoint but wasn't as happy with the results. If anyone wants instructions I can probably piece some together.

I am getting married March 2015 in Punta Cana and I'm using Patty from Wright Travel ( the travel agency associated with this site). Patty has been beyond helpful and I would recommend using her! The only downside is that she is on the West coast so sometimes there is a delay in responses, and it is mainly email communication. If you are ok with that I would go to: http://www.wrighttravelagency.com/destination-weddings and fill out the form. You get a travel agent based on the location you choose. Hope that helps!

I feel all of your pain ladies! We are getting married March 6 2015 in Punta Cana and can't get flight info yet. We have pricing for the resort but our guests want to know flight info too, so very frustrating! We are also in the position where we can fly out of Toronto, Buffalo or Detroit, so we have a few options to help with pricing at least! What travel sites is everyone looking at?

We just sent out our save the dates so we don't know the final guest count or the final costs. I'm not sure what photographer we are going with, maybe HDC based on the reviews on here.
