We are getting married on a Monday- which normally I'd scoff at- but as others said- we are on vacation and so are all our guests- so no one will care what day it is!! We chose Monday because it's a leap year (feb 29, 2016) I say go for it!

Calgary here too... But long engagement in order to allow family and friends time to save $ and join us. Our date isn't until feb 2016! Luckily I'm working with an amazing TA here in Calgary that specializes in coordinating destination weddings and has already been working with the hotel and tour operators to lock in my price just under 2 yrs in advance- so everyone can put down a deposit and then pay off their trips slowly! Haven't been to any bridal shows yet though!

Will I ever get there??? It feels impossible at this point!

I was torn between riley&grey and wedshare, and decided to pay for a site with wedshare. The ability to really tailor it exactly how we wanted and the extensive planning, organizing tools behind the scenes was worth paying for- at least for us!

I'm SO disappointed to hear they changed from the dark brown gazebo to the white one! So much so that I am no longer interested in holding my wedding on the sky deck! The look was much more modern and suited the feel better than the look of the white version. Though It will probably change again by the time my date comes around! Haha

Mine was able to start getting my great quotes and deals 2 years out!!! Even before many tour operators have posted their pricing! I think depending on your TA's relationship with the operators and hotels, they can do a lot more than the average person checking pricing on line! I thought I would have to wait for months! This way, my guests get to put deposits down early and save for a while!

We have an amazing travel agent that came highly recommended by several people. She has been phenominal http://www.laurielee.ca Definitely reach out to her and let her know I recommended you do so! I started out just wanting to pick her brain but ended up having her handle all of the travel related plans! (Our date isn't until feb 2016 and she has already been amazing at saving our guests money!) Kim

We are getting married at Azul Sensatori in February 2016... heading to the Bride's dress rehearsal in June of this year. Starting to plan early... and most importantly giving our friends and family a TON of time to put down their deposits and then start saving in order to join us! Anyone else as neurotic as me?

Hi all!!! Total noob here- and a Type A "über planner" noob to boot! We are just starting our planning, though I have read nearly this entire thread and wish we were getting married next month- you all have me so excited! My MOH and I are attending the Dress Rehearsal in June since my FI is unable to come (and is pretty laid back and has basically told me to book whatever I like and it will be fantastic). We are choosing a date WAY in the future- working with a GI approved TA, she is negotiating things for us despite being so far in advance- and will allow everyone to put their deposits down and then have a long time to pay in full. Our tentative date is February 29, 2016!! (We liked the idea of a leap year). We will confirm this with AS once returning back from the dress rehearsal. Looking forward to sharing the planning process with you all, and watch you all celebrate your big days since I am sooo far off!

Hoping past Sensatori brides can help me on this one, since despite lengthy searches I can't find the answer! I'm working on music for the ceremony precessional however does anyone know the "distance" between the start to the actual ceremony gazebo for the various locations on site? (Beach, sky terrace etc)... Is there an actual "starting point" where you are somewhat hidden until the music starts? For the beach/ground level ceremonies do you wind through the pool area as a part of your formal precessional or do you just walk to an open spot and stand there (seems a bit less dramatic!). We aren't using traditional music for our ceremony so id like to have an idea on length so we can edit somewhat... But I have no idea where to start at this point! Thanks in advance!!!!

Does anyone have the email contact for the wedding coordinator here? The new website is terrible now that it has transfered to Hyatt, and I want to reach out to the wedding coordinator for some preliminary info. I stayed here (on business) last year and loved it... and was lucky enough to see a wedding take place while we were there, and it was top notch!
