  1. I sent an email to my TA and she said BP wasn't what we were looking for but said she would pull some info for Moon Palace,., less busy and party atmosphere than Beach (which is in the heart of the action), and may be something we want to consider.... But still very different than Sensatori. The golf inclusive thing is a big deal... I wasn't aware... We are all big golfers in our family!!! You made this harder! 2. Trying to get to 150? Who us? Hahaha.... It's funny cause I had a mini panic this am that I should switch to YOUR resort to make it cheaper- but I think I'm just feeling the pressure. (But I still may send a quick note to my Travel agent and ask her what she thinks)... I love the decor for the wedding set-up at your resort... But that's not reason enough is it? Was it THAT much cheaper? Convince me that I should keep it at Sensatori... Or maybe convince me I should switch! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Indecisive

I think many DW brides/FI have the same worry/guilt/fears.. but in the end it will all be beautiful. We know that by choosing a wedding in Mexico, we are asking our guests to spend a LOT of money to share in our day, which is stressful and guilt inducing for sure... but we decided to give them PLENTY of time to save, plan and prepare... and hopefully those who are truly important to us will be able to come.
  4. Congratulations! You will find so much help here... welcome!
  5. WEDDINGDJ ... so far I find it excellent!
  6. There are a ton of suggestions on where to buy the fabric a few pages back in this forum ( read from beginning- guilty as charged!)... But local fabric stores or online have great deals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. My second, his first. I'd love to say it's the first for both of us, but sometimes life throws a curve ball and disrupts the "one and only time"... But I'm thankful I get a second chance at forever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I was going back and forth but in the end chose Karisma... The good is far surperior from what I have been told (I have stayed at Dreams previously), and the modern decor with amazing family amenities sold me on it as the perfect destination to have our guests join us for our wedding. The vendor fees are rediculous with Karisma but the resorts are second to none and the on site planners are amazing from what past brides report. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Generally the way these group contracts work, is they will honor a one time price reduction to all members of the party if a lower price is found prior to final payment deadline. I simply indicated to my guests "not to worry- we are watching pricing for you"- but told them they must book under our group. I have heard way to many horror stories of some members of a party being bumped from the hotel because it's busy- or not getting a room before sell out because they held out for a "last minute deal"... If everyone is booked under the same contract this eliminates any problems. Not to mention I get substantial credits from the group booking that I don't get if they just book wherever is cheapest (which should be us regardless). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This is also good for insuring your guests book by your contract deadline to take advantage of your negotiated nightly rate. If they don't know when they have to book by to get the discounted price, they will likely delay... Or worse- book outside your group booking which hurts you for any bonus you receive! 11. So creative!!! Nice work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Just wanting to "stop in" and say congratulations and welcome to the community. You can spend hours researching and learning from the brides (and soon to be brides) here... they are all so amazing!!! Have fun planning!
  13. Congratulations to you all! Im not a disney cruise bride, but I have been on 5 Disney Cruises with another coming this December, and have seen brides at both Castaway Cay and onboard... It will be FABULOUS! As for the dress- WEAR THE BIG PRINCESS DRESS!!! You deserve to make this the wedding you want and dream of! Dont do the sundress... it wouldnt be fitting!
  14. This thread may help! Looks like there are some suggestions here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/topic/74285-hotels-vs-all-inclusive-resorts-in-playa-for-brides-doing-off-site-weddings-need-advice/
  15. I never thought of this but LOVE the idea! I cant wait til I hit 150 posts so I can see the template and add this to my DIY projects!
  16. I love your topper... everything looks like its amazing!
  17. where are you located? Are you in Canada? If so- I may be interested.
  18. You could look into hosting it at a restaurant in town somewhere? Or does your hotel have sister properties where they can accommodate you? Could they not do a private event for you on the beach? Or are there other weddings already using all on site locations with literally NO options unless you leave the resort? I would really push the WC at your resort to have them help you... you are bringing them a lot of business- they should be able to assist in giving you some options- especially if you are thinking of taking your reception business elsewhere!
  19. CONGRATULATIONS and welcome!!!
  20. We are putting our pricing on the website. Our agent working with us suggested showing the rates for 3 room categories from the city where most are traveling from that she negotiated (Air +Hote +Transfers), however we also referenced that rates were negotiated for ALL departure cities and to contact our agent for exact pricing for their particular travel needs. (Our agent negotiated rates for 5 and 7 day stays from 3 different departure locations and then will deal with the occasional other requests separately)
  21. Yup. bringing along your centrepieces is definitely the way to go! Great idea of having your wedding party each pack one too- saves on carrying them all down yourself!! Great work!
  22. This actually works perfect... No need for bike shorts or hose if you have deodorant handy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
