  1. its customary to not quote pricing here- and best bet is to reach out to him directly for a no obligation quote. That way there is no misinformation and you get all the details necessary to make a great decision for your wedding! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Starting this am (June 1) zulily.com also is having a wedding sale! A lot of cute rustic casual items and ring bearer/flower girl stuff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. @@tygrrlily hahaha so we aren't twins!! I haven't tried them on yet- but I will at least try similar styles if not the originals just to make sure I don't look gross! Yup gonna have to make a trip to kleinfelds for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ooooh pretty!! I love all your choices!! Gettem all! Hahaha As for me, the ML Bliss dress I like is 1330... I am a D cup so I'm a bit worried how it will lay, and may need to change the under later to be more structured to not flatten me out... But we will see once I a similar style on. 5. @@tygrrlily Did you decide who you will go with? I'm thinking I will go with Jasmines for my Gemma since the have done so many great ones for other brides... But may use Lace Marry (etsy) for my Monique Bliss- or may have Jasmines do both and simply have my BM dresses done by someone less expensive. Also important- something I discovered in all my reading here in this thread and on weddingbee- is that there are some companies that buy your dress from china, mark it up, and resell it as American/Canadian made... So make sure you do your research on where you want to buy from and make sure they have tons of good reviews from real brides! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. From what I've been told yes- same stuff as around the resort. Beach has the tequila bar... Sensatori has the mojito bar with 16 versions and fives has gin coming.... Man I wish they allowed inter-property visits! They all sound delicious! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's all top shelf name brand- probably the best selection I've seen- on par with sandals. If you go to the last page of the private banquet info from karisma they are all listed there under international bar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk For reference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We are telling everyone in our official invitation (not doing save the dates) going out in July. On the invites there is an RSVP deadline that's the deposit deadline. (I'm doing boarding pass invites and the third pass/page is booking information). We also have a wedding website that has pricing and more info on the whole process about deposits etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Check Etsy! That's where we found our labels and they customized them! I'm sure I saw corona ones too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. We did these Only because of my urging (I did wine for my girls)... My FI would have just as soon asked his guys over a beer and the game- lol... But he humoured me and agreed it was pretty cool. Since we are getting married in Mexico it was perfect! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'm no expert (haven't ordered)...but I have read as much as I can since I want to be 100% confident in the process. It seems like most brides at least make sure the silhouette suits their body by trying on similar dresses in a shop to get a better sense of how it will be. Then they use google image search to find out the original designer of a dress they find on Pinterest etc... Which helps when trying on dresses ahead of time. Almost all dresses on Chinese replica sites are reproduced from an original designer creation so it's likely out there somewhere! I definitely will be trying the styles on myself first before ordering- and then will get custom measurements done locally/ and find a local seamstress in case I need alterations! 12. Anything you past BDR guests realized you didn't ask/see/know once on the way home? Anything that is a MUST try/do/see? We are so excited! My MoH especially! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. 3 years... And will be 5 years when we get married Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Get posting! It's worth it to see the dresses! As for your question- I haven't read about them and I've read ALL the posts hahaa (I got addicted)... I would recommend using a more popular company though- they can replicate any dress, so don't be worried about only seeing it with one company! I would check how much some other companies would charge for it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. This is the wine labels I did (etsy)... But with black label and pink/white writing. The girls all loved them!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have 4 girls and a "man of honor" who has been my BFF for 25 years. I asked them all with bottles of wine that popped the question. (Personalized labels) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. This is typical for an private event. Unless your reception is "meet you at the pool bar".... The b&g pay for a separate function special for your guests. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Wow! That's terrible!!! That's my fear too!! We are doing 48 seats on first contract.., and then of available will take another 48... I'm glad we are getting our contract so far out (will start ticking in July), so that even if we need a second contract it will be over a year out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. We discussed this after it was brought up (I told my FI about this thread and that it COULD happen to us too)... He thought it was only fair that the groomsman could bring his GF and felt like it wasn't a huge deal that others were coming to same resort over the same time... Which got me thinking how id handle it.. For me it wouldnt be worth causing hurt feelings and broken relationships over $40-$50 for the cost of a private event with an extra person thrown into the mix... My FI actually said, "don't we get credit for one person every 12? So that's like $200 we make toward the wedding if any extras show up! Lol... At the end of the day, I want everyone to have a blast and be surrounded by positive energy and love,,, if there are people there who mean something to one of my guests enough to want to share their holiday... I will introduce myself and hope they are as happy for us as others attending the wedding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I would definitely suggest looking at hotels in the heart of cancun vs in the Mayan strip for a more "party" atmosphere, most AI resorts along the riviera may have discos- but they aren't party central- unless you and your guests make it that way!! Depending on the number of guests I'm sure you could get a great party started near anywhere with the right DJ and fun friends! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Welcome! I saw you were on Generations RM thread before/ we changed to sensatori for the same reason as you- as much as I loved the new resort, I didn't want to burden my family and friends any more than already with the increased cost. I don't believe you can have your reception on the deck but there are other outdoor locations. You can do a cocktail reception on the sky deck but that's it. Welcome to the Sensatori thread! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hey all former BDR guest brides... Quick question- we leave next week and i was wondering when I should expect to be emailed my itinerary. I have gone back and forth about what alternate locations I want to visit, and don't want to get "charged" with not attending a site visit planned if the information they have on file is not correct. I have seen a version of the email itinerary another bride received in anticipation of her trip down for the BDR but haven't seen mine yet. On a related front. If we decide to add/remove other karisma properties from the list we originally gave, is that ok? (If I fall in love with Sensatori and see no reason to see Fives for example, can I change that on site and not get accused of not complying to the BDR itinerary and being asked to pay rack rate for the weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yes- that's where my confusion lies- there are planning brides who have large groups, who are at Azul Beach (I dont think I have found any that have passed with large numbers). I will get a definitive answer when Im there next week- and if they confirm, I will make sure I come back and post on the 2015 AND the general ABH thread of my findings. I would be booking 1.5 years out- so it's not the fact of being sold out in high season, its doubtful that any regular inventory has been booked that far in advance- and if there is another wedding booked then its a moot point as it wouldnt work with their one wedding/day policy.
  24. HAHA Its my daily addiction. As soon as I make it into the office, I log in and check the day's deals! HAHA... I had meetings yesterday and first thing this am so I didnt notice the wedding stuff until later... but yes- such nice stuff at crazy prices! The mailman thinks Im crazy with my deliveries but Im sure Im not the only one!
