  1. For my first wedding (getting remarried this time around)... We made a "build a bear" stuffed bear and put the bride costume on her... Inside we put a recording that said (in our voices) Lauren... Will you be our flower girl?.... When she squeezed the bear the voices would go off. She loved it and ended up dragging it down the aisle with her which was adorable. Making one for your flower girl and ring bearers would be awesome at their ages! 2. Lynda is one of the off site coordinators (she is mine) and is great... I'm sure you will be in planning mode soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This is something you put on your detail sheet with Florida if you want to coordinate one. If you don't, you can either do it yourself without a WC or try and squeeze one in with your on site coordinator once you sit down with her upon arrival for your initial meeting. 4. Yeah I'm totally impressed. I sent her 5 questions/requests yesterday and she came back today with my requests all filed on my sheet and my requests noted. As for the Bose sound dock, lots of BDW brides have done it! I plan on doing it for our welcome beach s'mores party... But not for my actual reception (going with a dJ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. May is the start of rainy season... You may want to look on weather almanacs to see what history shows, but this year was usually wet with heavy rain right at the start of the season. I was there June 4 and taking to locals they said the amount of rain this year was unusually heavy right at the start of the may/June season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I was not going to.... Though I'm sure it's ok... I just don't want any implication of "hey I expect something from you" after shelling out so much money to attend the wedding. But people may bring a card to wish us congratulations... (No $ inside).,,,If people bring cards, I will have someone hold or gather them- or make an impromptu location to place them at our guest book area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. You submit your wedding date with the off site team in Florida- not with the hotel itself. As soon as you submit the request, you get an auto-notification stating that your request is pending. Your TA should have received this, as well as yourself being the bride. They are backed up... But I submitted mine on June 4, received confirmation immediately and then got my date confirmation on June 10, and paid deposit confirmation and assignment to a wedding coordinator on June 20th. I would be concerned that your TA hasn't submitted correctly! As for pricing, it would be no different than US or Canada, only the perks and discounts change. It sounds like your TA isn't doing the math right. Your off site coordinator once assigned will send you all that info and it's always quoted in US dollars and you are responsible for doing the exchange. 8. Yes this is quite common (No pictures until you purchase)... but Im hoping the other more secretive behavior is only happening in some stores in the States and isnt the case in Canadian stores! I want to be able to try on a dress or two with my mom as she lives in Vancouver.. but I have no intentions of buying it there!
  9. The standard is $250 for all set up (Reception and Ceremony combined)... if you want to confirm lengths needed based on your specific ceremony location, you can find this all on the "official Sensatori thread".
  10. Go back to enjoying your last day... cant wait to hear all about it when you get back!
  11. Also remember that the 40 people included in your always and forever package should be adults when you are doing your counts. Then kids are 1/2 price ($25 extra per adult over 40, $12.50 for kids)... Unless you have your kids order off kids meal and then they are completely free. ($12.50 gives them a smaller portion of your plated meal). You can use this dinner any time and doesn't have to be your reception- ie welcome or rehearsal dinner. You can have a private event like a bonfire at the beach following dinner but that is a separate event and would be charged pp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Have you Canadian girls ran into any stores that won't let you know the style and designer of the dresses you liked after trying them on (holding the info ransom so you have to buy from them) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Got my confirmations for locations and times today! Sky Deck Ceremony and Plaza Zavaz Reception. I have Lynda as my off site coordinator, and im petty happy with that- since it seems like she is pretty buttoned down @@icoangel78 I will PM you a phone number that was given to me for BDR info when I booked mine.
  14. We sent them out 3 months before the booking deadline , since like you- we wanted the RSVP date to be the same as the booking cut off. Im hoping it will help with planning, knowing numbers farther in advance.
  15. karisma properties can handle this size of group... Aside from Azul Beach. They would be a great option to look into! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I was just showing an example of what a wine charm was... So disregard my post as an example of what is for sale! I'm sure the OPs are way nicer! (They sound like it)! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hee hee! They are used to identify your glass of wine from others in a large group setting. each one is slightly different so you don't have to worry about picking up someone else's glass! Ps- no dumb questions! We are all here to learn and share! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. If you go to StudioBLabels on etsy, you will see them there! Super cute, awesome vendor and totally customizable.
  19. The wine bottles were me.... Here is what they looked like. My girls loved them.. I couriered them to the girls that don't live close and they were thrilled when they opened the box! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I have it pinned from discovering it on Pinterest and plan on using it! But haven't heard from any real brides! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I wouldn't think to try and tell my mom what to wear... We have completely different styles and at the end of the day I want her to feel beautiful. She will know the Colors of our wedding and hopefully she chooses something that will compliment the look in photos.,. If not- I will look back at photos and say "yup- that's my mom" and it will still bring a laugh and a memory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. My girlfriend said her biggest DW tip from her wedding last year was lattisse! Lol apparently it was way better than extensions for her and made her eyes look amazing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I'm actually getting 2 dresses and plan on leaving my reception dress behind for my room cleaning staff to give to a family member because it could be worn as a fancy dress and not just a wedding dress- and I really have no need to bring it home and store it. I will probably sell my ceremony dress or donate it somewhere at home afterward. I just want them to be loved be someone else as much as I hopefully love them (haven't purchased yet but have the styles I want) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. @@CurlyKristen I'm feeling better about our color scheme. I originally wanted a potential touch of burnt orange, but I think of I replace that with a few lighter shades of pink it will work. The girls can still have fuschia and bright toned dresses and I can have my blush. Pinterest had a lot of inspiration pics... (Not of BM and brides but of the general color scheme. I can't wait to see how yours comes together! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
