  1. So my postcard reminders came today and I just dropped them in the mail to our guests who haven't RSVP'd. For those that couldn't see it before/ this is what they looked like... I just addressed the right side which was blank, put on a stamp and into the mail box they went! I'm happy with how they turned out and they only cost $10 for 30 of them on vistaprint (turned out I only needed 20). Hopefully they light a fire under our guests butts... And if they still don't reply I will assume they aren't joining us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Usually they use glass bottles for beer and pour them into plastic cups... Or serve draft. I don't think koozies would get as much use as mugs or tumblers... At least at most resorts I have been to, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Good luck!!!!!' It won't be the same without you here- but looking forward to hearing that everything was a success and you are back here planning the renewal of your dreams!!!!' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This is what I'm doing... The straws will be for the kids table ones and more fun font etc. I don't plan on doing place cards (telling people what actual seat to sit in) as we are not having a meal selection dinner. If I had a menu that asked guests chicken or beef on the RSVP, then I would do place cards that signified the selection (seashell for beef, starfish for chicken) to assist servers during dinner service but that's not the case for us (family style dinner was selected) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have attended weddings where it's a "choose a seat" type of reception and although it may add less stress for the bride and groom in planning, it was terrible for guests! People would hold seats for friends, odd number of seats would be left with people either squeezing in or being split from their partner... It was terrible! I plan on doing a seating guide (table number and name on a tag around a neck of corona) since I will have about 80 guests. With smaller groups it may work to not have a seating plan maybe? 6. Adorable! What did your price/cup work out to be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I would ask when you have your local onsite wedding coordinator... Or have your TA negotiate it for you if they have a good relationship at the hotel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So pretty! I will be interested to hear about how they feel! Lol... I know I'm weird..but I'm curious if they feel more fabric-like or more waxy like some real touch I have seen. Exciting!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. What about las caletas for your wedding? You could stay at your resort but go here for ceremony/reception. It supposed to be gorgeous!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Is that still open? I thought I read it had closed recently!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I was supposed to be golfing in the Flames golf tournament tomorrow!!! NoT!!! It was delayed until next week thank God/ cause I would have been miserable! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Dislike Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Walkie talkies for sure,., if you have a welcome event include a sheet for your guests to record other room numbers and biggest tip would be to ask the onsite wedding coordinators to honor free wifi for your parents and bridal party. This should be easily negotiated for larger groups- and is something that front cost the hotel anything to provide as an "upgrade". It's common when doing group bookings for business travel at places like this/ and it's no different with larger wedding parties. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Don't be nervous about it! Why not stay in your MOHs room, or with your parents... Or have your FI bunk in with a groomsman... There are lots of options if you don't want to stay in same room but don't want to have the added expense! I'm sure something can be arranged!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Here is a pic that is my inspiration Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. We will have about 18 kids- and we will be putting together 2 kids tables. decor will be geared toward kids and will look different than other tables. (Buckets of Lego as centrepiece etc)... Kids are a big part of our lives and we want them to have a blast at the reception, all those over 3 will be seated at the tables not with their parents. (We have two babies that of course will not be sat there and will sit with their parents) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. We did invites at 20 months out (boarding pass) as soon as we secured our rates/package for our 2/2016 wedding. We didn't bother with save the dates since we wanted to get people booking ASAP. Our RSVP date was the same as our booking deadline. Now that we are 3 weeks from our RSVP deadline, I am sending postcards that remind people to go to our website and RSVP. The website is being updated as info is available and is our main form of communication (package pricing etc), Everyone was given a plus one... Though our truly single are booking alone. (They didn't bother bunking up- and paid the supplement) For us we had 90 days to put down deposits to get our rate so we had invites ready to go as soon as we got the nod from our T/A and we felt 90 days was plenty enough time for people to reply. 18. Hmmmm as you know I "lost" a BM last week, and I could have easily replaced her with another friend who is already booked to attend and is a good friend- but I decided it didn't sit well with me to have someone be a replacement and instead went with one less.... I would just have a heart to heart with your friend in Japan and see if there is any chance she can still make it, if she thinks it's still possible- hold the spot. Since you already bought a dress, if she says she is definitely no longer possible, then maybe ask new friend then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I know.... I didn't buy them but are tempted! There were a ton of them... So I may go back and get them this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. When at winners today, at check out counters (Winners is same as Marshall's) they had large tote bags/shopping bags that would make great beach bags. They were cream and stamped with various travel passport stamp images... In a variety of colors. Large and great for a pool/beach bag.... Best part? $1.99! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Latest project.... I wanted to avoid the hassle of chasing RSVPs and my booking/reply deadline is coming up later to this month. So I created a postcard that I am sending out next week to all guests who haven't replied. It has a reminder on the back along with our wedding website address through with they need to RSVP. Hoping it works!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. So my RSVP/booking deadline is coming up later this month and I want to avoid having to track down replies so I ordered these and am sending them out next week! On the back it reminds them to kindly reply by September 22nd and re-supplies our website address where they need to do so! Hope it does the trick! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Love love love it!!!! Most Calgary salons won't do the "Brazillian blow out" anymore because the chemicals were found to be very harmful, but there are similar treatments they offer that give the same results! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. The post is 2+ years old.... Keep this in mind when posting on "for sale" threads since usually the OP is long gone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Deodorant ladies! Just apply deodorant to your thighs or where ever else you are worried about chaffing/rubbing and sweating...And voila! Works like a charm!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
